Are you kidding me. You must have not been paying attention to the schedules over the past four years. Why would Counce be too scared to play this new schedule. They are only picking up two schools. They play the other six schools every year and have fared pretty dang well, so why would they be scared now. They have even practiced with Milan for the past few years so its not like they have never seen Milan play before. Your comments are nothing but a joke. Look at the facts before you talk about things that you don't know about.

Will Dyersburg get to host the third round game if Mitchell beats Haywood? I know its a week early but I was just wondering if there was any way for Dyersburg to host one more game this year. Dyersburg has a better record than Mitchell, and the current playoff bracket shows the winner of Dyersburg VS Sheffield hosting the third round. I know Haywood would host should they win since they have the better record over Dyersburg by a head to head tie-breaker.

For a person that hates Dyersburg so much you sure worry about them an aweful lot. I believe you need to worry more about your precious South Side a little more because they have to get by Giles and Lipscomb before they can even think about trying to tear down Dyersburg.

I agree with you on the head count. I just don't believe that Dyersburg has over 1000 kids. They barely had 1000 when I graduated from there seven years ago and for the last four years kids have been transfering to the county. Also last I heard DC had close to 1200 kids. I don't understand how the head count works or who does it either. I do know that DC has more than 41 kids over Dyersburg.

How can you say that moving to 4A will be any tougher for DHS when they will play the exact same teams that they are playing now. There schedule will still be with Haywood, Covington, Crockett, Ripley, and Obion. The playoff teams will also be almost exactly the same minus DC and Memphis Mitchell. To be honest the playoffs will be even easier because Knoxville Central, Knoxville Catholic, Pearl Cohn, and several other powerhouses are moving up with DC. Finally, DC will not have to worry about Maryville, because Maryville will be moving up to 6A with Henry County.

I believe that Covington was the team that won that game in the second round. Dyersburg beat Covington in the Quarterfinals the next week by a close margin (7-0 I believe) to move on to the Semi's.

You must not be able to comprehend what you read. I said nothing about his character. I said that he used bad judgement becuase he feels that he must do whatever it takes to have another winning season to get away from the fluke year claims that are still going around. And by the way, you are behind a screen name running your mouth as well, so it sounds to me that your man-pouch is just as empty.

It sounds to me like you think that you are the coach or doctor. When the coach has already brought another kid back too early(McLin), the last thing that he should say is that it is up to Peyton if he wants to play or not. This is someone trying to pressure a kid to comeback when he shouldn't. Whether you like it or not this is a situation where a coach feels like he must do everything he can to win because now he is expected to win after last season. It seems like he is the person that needs to get his stuff in order.

I have now been told that Peyton Lucas will be out for the season with a torn ACL. Tough luck for another senior player. The worst news from this is how Renshaw was quoted in the local paper that he would like the doctors to allow Lucas to play with a brace on the knee. Is this coach crazy? This kid should be shut down for the season regardless of what this coach wants. They have already attempted to bring McLin back from a serious knee injury after just two weeks off, and now his football carreer could be over. How could he even think about letting another player do the exact same thing. This is reaching a level where something should be done.

I know that I don't have a dog in this fight, but why was Mclin back in practice after only being out two weeks. I'm not a doctor but any kind of knee strain or slight tear isn't going to heal that quickly. I don't think that he had any business being out there making cuts that soon after a serious injury. Where was the coaches head at here? Of course you want a big time player back when you are getting ready to start the meat of your region schedule. but now you won't have him back at all. The worst part is how he may never play another football game because of this injury ocurring during his senior year.

How can you say that Haywood can't beat Mitchell at Mitchell when they have already beat them in Mitchell just a couple of weeks ago.

I spend plenty of my energy focusing on my team in a positive manner. My team is the Mississippi State University baseball team, because that's where I go. While I'm down here using the good education that DHS gave me, you are busy complaining about every cooment that somebody makes that you can't handle. I can't believe how little a life you have outside of this message board, when you can get riled up so much over some silly comments from people you have never even met before. You all need to grow up and get a life its just high school sports. I have been on here maybe five times in my life and all I see is your name on have of the messages on the board, and you do nothing but disrespect people when they give their opinion. Congratulations, you have become the unoficial champion of complaining about people's comments on a simple high school message board. Congrats DC, and I sincerley hope that you win state. I will definitely be listening to the games on the radio. I have nothing against your great team, but some of these so called fans can really take the fun out the game.

I agree with you when you say that DC's upcoming talent isn't coming from Dyersburg High because he already has them tranfering from Dyersburg Middle before they can get to high school. What is McCord doing at Dyersburg Middle School games in the first place unless he is looking for the "real" talent.

I have nothing bad to say about how good the DC basketball team is this year, but I can't help but comment on some of these things that are being said about the DC fans. I can't believe some of these things that are being said about the DC fans. How can you people sit here and talk about how much better the DC fans are and how they are so loyal. That is the biggest joke I have ever heard in my entire life. Where where all of you loyal DC fans the last five plus years when your team couldn't win more than five games a year. Its not loyalty to only show up and support a team when they are winning. That is just following the crowd. To call DC fans the most loyal is the most rediculous statement that has ever been made on CoachT.

I don't know why you think just because you come from a long line of so called winners that you know every little thing about sports and decide to down someone. I come from a long line myselp including a father that was drafted by the Cincinatti Reds and I along with my brother have won four state championships in baseball, yet none of us go around generalizing a whole state calling it arrogant and we also don't go around acting like we know more than everyone about everysport. When did you become some basketball expert anyway. You my friend are the one that belongs on the short bus to go along with your short minded thoughts.

I have heard from several people throughout the week that a defensive starter was thrown off of the team and susepended from school for a disrespectful act to a coach. Is this true because this could hurt a team to lose a player this late in the season. I know that everyone talks about how they play as a team and one player doen't make up the team but everyone has to admit that it could make a big effect when you lose a starter that has been on this defense all year. Sometimes when a unit is changed around then bad things can happen. Im not downgrading this team because Im sure that they will get passed it. I just think that it could hurt them in end.

I am glad that someone else has finally come to their senses and agrees that this type of offense is a lot more preseason hype than what has been shown here late in the season. During the last several years the offense was all about running the ball straight at you and down your throat with Caldwell and Taylor and that offense worked just fine and I don't think anyone can disagree with how that offense was run with Caldwell touching the ball like he did because even when the defense keyed on him was good enough to break tackles to get big yards even if he didn't break for a 80 yard TD run. I know that Bowling runs a different offense but that is no excuse for not just handing the ball off in the backfield every now and then. No disrespect to Logan because he has definitely shown that he is a great athlete but they have got to spread the ball around more than they are doing now because now all the dfense has to do is key in on Parker because he is keeping the ball 90% of the time.

You just contadicted your entire point because you say that no defense in this region can stop the three aspects of this offense and Dyersburg has been stopped two weeks in a roll because Logan is handling the ball too much. How can you say that handing the ball to Rashad an Tyler more would hurt because the defense is waitng on that to happen when that was their entire offense for the last two years and they were unstoppable during both of those years. These statements of how the Veer is run is rediculous. All you have to do sometimes is just hand the ball off and let these guys run. You don't always need deception when you have these kind of athletes on a team and that includes Ellis and Cunningham. They are elusive enough that they can break tackles as that has been shown for several years now but they haven't been given a chance for the last two weeks.

My opinion is that this Dyersburg offense will be in trouble if this Coach doesn't start getting the ball in Taylor and Caldwells hands more often. The first part of the season went really well with Taylor carrying a lot and with the fullbacks Ellis and Cunningham running more. These two fullbacks are powerhouses and they have shown that but for the past two weeks they haven't touched the ball. Its rediculous when Rashad and Tyler get over 100 yards each per game but only get to touch the ball 5 to 6 times. Quit having Parker run the ball from sideline to sideline 20 times a game and get the ball to the playmakers. If your going to have the QB run every play like this than Rashad Taylor needs to play QB because he is alot better at doing that. Last and defininately not least, Victor McLin has been WAY UNDER USED.

First off, Congrats to Dyer County. Next, I think that some of these DC fans need to hold on with some of the extra in your face talking because Dyersburg is still in this thing. Just because they lost one game doesn't mean that their season is over. The DC fans don't need to sit here and base their entire season on just beating Dyersburg becasue another team in the playoffs could jump up and bite you and then you have to live the rest of the school year off of the memories of one game. These Memphis teams may not have big winning records but they are loaded with talent every year. And if DHS and DC meet each other in the third round, the game might not go the same way and you will wish that you held onto your "in your face comments" until the end of the season becasue Dyersburg now has even more film on you and they will be better prepared so you better prepare even more as well. GOOD LUCK to both schools becasue the rematch will be even better in a few weeks.

You can't say that because Beasley didn't even play against Haywood earlier in the season. He came out of the game at the very beginning with an ankle injury.

Andre Flowers ran for almost 350 yards in this game. If that doesn't say Class AAA Mr. Football I don't know what does. This guy is unstoppable and he hasn't even played half a season yet and is already nearing 1,000 yards.

JT Beasley did not ever have knee surgery. All he did was go through extensive rehab. He never had to come back from any surgery.
