As we all know, comparing regions is tough, because region competition is like its own little world, a team can dominate their region but if you throw them into another region they could be 5th. Its all relative. Meigs is the team for 3-3A this year. I don't think any of their region games were close. Meigs should make it to the quarters, ND won't make it to the semi's this year. Maybe the quarters, don't be surprised if 3-3A makes more noise than usual in the playoffs. GOod to hear from ya Chair.

Notre Dame by 10. Notre Dames offense is down a little, but the defense is still as tough. White House couldn't beat them with RL, they won't beat them without.

Charlie Murphy's opinion is that region 3 comes out on top in the first round in 3A. They take 3, and maybe sweep. I know, region 4 fans are going to start defending, just do it with football talk, and not trash. Here is why I say this, region 3 is overall as good as they were last year, Notre Dame is down a little, Meigs is up, Howard is up, and Polk is down a little. But overall these four teams are as good as the teams that region 3 sent to the playoffs last year. Region 4 is down. A team does not go 1-9 (1-5) then 9-1 (5-1), unless the competition has dropped significantly. Say what you want about,,,"they were young", whatever, Station Camp could have been all Junoirs in 2005, or all sophomores, but high school football teams don't make turn arounds like that , because they just got better, in 365 days. This may mean that region 4 is closer to region 3 now, but still better, who knows. But a team doesn't lose 34-0 in 2005, then beat that team 42-6 in 2006, just because the team got better. Meigs County over Sycamore, easily. (Meigs is as good, as Notre Dame was last year.) Notre Dame over White House (ND won last year, and WH had RL!) Howard over Station Camp, (Howard and Pearl very similar teams) PCHS over PCHS (depends on which PC team shows up)

Just to add to this, in the quarters (3rd round) the host will be seed 1 or 3 from region 4 or seed 2 or 4 from region 3. So if seed #2 from region three wins 2 games and the #2 seed from region 4 wins two games, region three would host.

Some people (3-A fan) don't have a clue. If Polk had lost to Maryville and Alcoa, he would have posted the same thing. Polk has been succesful with Coach Davis and will continue to be, as a true fan with "Wildcat Pride" , you have to take the losses with the wins, but we all know there are plenty of fair weather fans. Congratulations to Meigs, their team reminds me alot of Polk last year with a big powerful back.

That is the most clueless post I have ever seen. Polk had every opportunitty to give up Friday at Loudon, but they didn't, they came out and dominated the second half. That is mental toughness.

Actually if you are in the realm of college recruitment, those scores are open for discussion as much as your time in the 40, your height, your weight, etc. Timbdp, you may not know exact numbers, but most people that are around a program know the kids that breeze through school and the ones that struggle. It has been charlie's experience that if the grades were good, you would be proud for everyone to know. If the grades are not so good,, "its nobodys business but him and his family" I think coachtut was just asking if this could be an issue. Charlie has a feeling that Ladds team logo will be a golden arch.

This is what happens when kids have Deion Sanders, Ron Artest, and Barry Bonds, as role models. Their mouth is the biggest part of them. Actually you may need to read your posts,,,you stated that Cates played on a State Championship calibre team in this post, not in any previous post. Just thought I would point that out. Are you a politician? The question was, if you think Cates was the best 3A player then why did Ladd win the award? I'm not sure what ND had do do with it..except that Cates ran all over them,,,unlike LAdd,,,but that makes it even more odd that Ladd won it instead of Cates. And Charlie Murphy never claimed to be a Guru. He's sure he doesn't know as much as you.
