If BA plays like they did last week, anything could happen

It looks like RRR was commenting and linking to actual news paper stories. He wasn't just saying something venomous and mean spirited like some people (just about every post). I would not necessarily blame Coach Flatt. Ravenwood helped make him look bad. Hey! they could skip the "new coach" idea and start scheduling Centennial again. I think that would fix this struggle in the season opener problem that Coach Flatt is having.

Yep, it looks like we are all screwed again come wrestling season.

McCallie should be scrappy this year, but probably not a contender. However, it is still compelling because Riverdale rarely schedules a non-district game that is not a "sure win". So, hats off to Riverdale. Maybe this is a step in the direction of MBA or BA. They have always had fearless players and supporters - now maybe a coach.

I have read your posts on this thread and I was pretty sure you were wrong on many of the things that you represent as fact. However, you finally posted something that I know for a fact is wrong. The 8th graders had all signed contracts and submittted a non-refundable deposit.

I think it makes the Whitescreek win look very impressive. That win happened this year on BA's home floor and it was not BA's season opener.

Did you hear any word on how BA fans were able to handle the bathroom situation ? I know you had expressed concern on a previous post.

My take as a neutral fan was: More Ryan fans than MBA fans. A lot of both, however. More energy from the MBA side because they had more students in attendance. The match seemed closer than it was, because lack of pins and each match was hard fought. I don't know when I have seen so many trips to the table with the refs. Almost all of them seemed rightful however. I think the refs were nervous.

My point was not that Justin was robbed. My point was, that the match could have been closer, therefore future matches could be closer. I was retorting a post that speculated that a future match would not be so close.

We just disagree I guess.

You may be right. JMS is awesome. However, Justin turned him to his back 3 times and some say there should have been back points on a couple of the turns. It could just as easily be closer next time.

Okay..Okay, if Shelbyville would have gone to the City of Palms tournament they would have been the champions because of all of their "studs" and the best BA could have hoped for is runner-up. We all respect Shelbyville, so can we cut the "no respect paranoia"?

BA is very good. They must have had an off game against Shelbyville - not taking anything away from Stewart/Twilley, but how in the world did they stop Wright? They played about as well as you could expect a team to play the first game of the season against a team as good as Shelbyville playing their fourth game. They played the say way in the second game. Luckily it was not against a team as good as Shelbyville or they could have easily been 0-2. However, against the top Kentucky teams and from what I understand in this tournament, they are team most experts expected.

Moose, your sensitivity is appreciated. However, we are talking D2 here. Financial aid is allowed. If you ever talk to Brandan Wright's mom, she will tell you that she sought out BA and MBA because she wanted the best for her son (her thoughts - that does not mean they are the best). She felt BA was the better fit. She told me "we were home" the moment they walked on campus. Many other people have felt the same about MBA, CPA, MLK, etc. I am sure. Everyone has a friend that got something good. Did your friends dad get a cool new job or did they buy him a car? No ones "friend" turned out to be telling the truth when this case went to the Supreme Court. I just thought I would let you know in case your specific friends have more vital info that you are depending on.
