Coach T, it does say T$$AA is a defacto state actor, that arbitrarily came up with classifcation of 1.8 multiplier on school that are private that give no fincial aide........I smell another winnable law suite, I know this is not a DII issue.

Now that justice has prevailed, maybe the T$$AA will put things back the way they were before this retarded split.

Stan the 8th graders you are talking about were contacted about workouts (weights) and I believe the no 8th grader in spring practice rule came about after this whole affair started, and it is not the issue.

Bottom line T$$AA should cut its loses and put everything back the way it was, and come up with a better system and some rules it can fairly enforce, or I believe the state legislature will step in and who knows what we will get.

Hey BBallfan31, Obviously you have an axe to grind with Catholic, If you have a problem with the coaches at Catholic go talk to them face to face, don't hide on here take cheap shots at what their kids and coaches have accoplished. Catholic is 525 kids hit with a 1.8% multiplier and are still winning. I don't see the 3rd largest school in the state, Farragut in the state tournament? I believe Catholic and Bearden are the only teams playing tonight from Knoxville. I am the wrestling coach and may not know alot about basketball, but I can spot a winner, and the Irish kids are winners.

You can go back and forth all day our 125 who did not place in DII last year beat the 119 state runner up three times last year. There are obvious weights that are much more stacked than others in either of the tournaments in some DII is much stronger and in DI there are some DI is much more stonger than DII ... like I said they are two different tournaments.

Hey Master Blaster worry about your own kids or should I say Kid, DII and DI are different tournaments....get over it. Its seemed like you were implying DII is weak, so go wrestle Baylor, McCallie, Father Ryan and MBA, CBHS, Brentwood Academy, then come and make your comparissons.

One of my first memories as a new wrestling coach 18 years ago was meeting Coach V, he and the other coaches like Coach Dugger set the bar that most of us try to aspire to. Coach V is a true champion of our sport and I will miss him very much.

We will be using the usual AAU middle schools weights that are used around town: 77, 87, 95, 103, 112, 120, 127, 135, 143, 153, 163, 175, 205, and 250(HWT). (must have AAU card) The Freshmen and JV will use high school weights Weigh-ins are at 8:00am we will use four mats, $5.00 per kid entry, $5.00 for admisssion for spectators. place 1-4 Mr. Julies is making his home made BBQ again if you have not been to a Catholic tournament and tried his BBQ it is well worth the trip. We will wrestle straight through no breaks. It is open to all Region 2 teams including Webb as well
