  1. Let the troll haters come out from their rocks
  2. Money, and or to leverage more money from Alcoa
  3. First of all CAK had to play us because we were in the same district, now that we are in a new one they don't need or have to play us. I understand they want a loss off their schedule. But Webb, who had beat us 17 times in a row at one point, to turn tail when things do not go thier way is chicken... Never underestimate the ego of football coaches when it comes to Ws and Ls The rest of the crap on here about recruiting is just that, crap.
  4. Bottom line Webb quits beause they lost, and would have continued to loose. CAK 70 to 23 enuff said. Alcoa coach just mad because because KCHS didn't hire him. I guess Webb didn't want help second harvest anymore, which got $60,000 dollars and food from the 2 schools, guess that is 'bad' for the community.
  5. Best of Luck to Coach Garland where ever he ends up.
  6. Well done Lady Irish, great job! Proud of all of you
  7. Well done lady irish, won first match of the tourny
  8. What was the catholic score with grace?
  9. First of all, for the public schools you get what you pay for, do not not listen to politicians, fully fund education in our public schools, raise property taxes, build better schools, add technology, pay our teachers better and if you don't like the teachers in your school, elect a different school board, get a different superintendent, and most of all get involved in your kids school.ALL OF US HAVE A VESTED INTEREST IN PRODUCING WELL ROUNDED EDUCATED ELECTORATE FOR OUR COUNTRY AND DEMOCRACY TO SUCCEED!!! With that being said this whole split thing is a joke, people are so driven to have to have a winning football team, they want to eliminate all competition by hook or crook, believe it or not kids remember the Friday nights for a lot of reasons, the dances, the parties, the fellowship, spirit of community, and playing the game. The win is in playing, the lessons learned are team work, sacrifice, dedication.....if all you are telling your kids is win win win and championships are the only things that count you don't need to be in sports
  10. Rather play a game than have a week off, and If I recall correctly didn't Pemberton pay Chucky Doak $2000 a game to come to Catholic....don't see how that helped us? other than having a week off.. Jason did a great job putting a scheduale together
  11. Knoxville Catholic High has 695 kids, we were forced to play 5a in a mostly 6a district, our kids go out and compete agaist these same schools, at least you guys have real 1000 kids to compete with.
  12. You didn't play against Maryville, Farragut, Bearden, your mommy and daddy were in the stands chanting "we want Maryville", on night after beating fulton or ae. expectations dropped to the basement? finally get to play schools "our" size, not really just 5a schools not 6a.
  13. I teach at a parochial school, yes I have had to buy kids groceries, yes we have parents with drug problems, Yes we have parents that beat their kids, just because you are catholic and go to a catholic school, does not make you rich, we are not baylor, mccallie, ensworth type school. We should not lump parochial schools with private schools.
  14. Now look at it from the flip side, Public schools do not charge tuition, free books, free bus, kids are automatically zoned for public schools. All the public schools have to do, get tax payers to fully fund their schools, put a good product out there and you would not loose as many kids to private schools. So don't blame the private schools, blame the "we can do more with less" attitude a certain political party preaches. You get what you pay for!
  15. Knoxville Catholic High has a very good tournament the first weekend in DEC.
  16. Come now, AC strong? all the coaches in the building refer to them as "apple turnover county" have we ever lost to them in football? If I am not mistaken we even payed Chucky-Doak $2000 to play us at home! Pemberton was the master of scheduling But that does not take away from the fact you beat very good fulton and AE teams and Pemberton did beat Webb 5x in a row, but don't dis our kids playing who they are playing.
  17. Who is complaining, I said we updated our competition, we are no longer playing: Stone Memorial (1-18), we are no longer playing Wartburg (0-20), we are no longer playing Sequoyah (3-17) The last 3 seasons Pemberton Coached the teams he faced were combined 144-153 record. The first 3 years of Meadows he has faced teams with a combined record of 172-127. Like I said No one is complaining. Yes Pemberton played Fulton and AE, but that was about it in his 3A district. Yes Livingston was good for one season. What you guys did then we are still proud of, but you can not compare apples and oranges.
  18. First of all parents are donating all the money, so I guess they are pretty happy with how things are going. Second of all we up graded our coach when we replaced the last one. Just like we up graded our competition when we went to 5A (while playing in a mostly 6A district)
  19. Catholic is getting turf and track up grades, it will start going in the day after graduation, 100,000 square feet of artifical turf....who says the Irish don't support athletics (school and parents) FYI
  20. No I would say overbearing, probably never played a sport, dad that lives through their kids is the problem.
  21. The man does not make the playoffs for the first time, and you arm chair coaches act like the sky is falling, everything goes in cycle, the big wheel turns, KCHS will return to the top, but right now the cards are stacked against KCHS. We played a full freshman schedule, a full jv schedule, the kids hit the weights...what do you want? KCHS is a high school, we are talking high school sports, we don't recruit, we don't give scholarships, we are not a major university. In all of KCHS history we have only beaten webb maybe 10 times total. But for you people that think Pemberton walks on water....what happened when he played BGA the second time, or the year we played ND first round and got spanked, or the fact we beat LA the first time but again lost the second time, both at home. Kids are here for an education and to learn life lessons by playing sports....guess what you not always going to win. I am done talking to you armchairs, so go ahead say what you will, until we get moved to a 5A schedule all of our teams are going to have to fight an up hill battle..but our coaches and kids are going to give it their all.
