First, I want you salecreekrules, and every other sale creek biased fan that gets on here to know that if you're going to boast about how good your team is and how much they've improved then you better be ready to accept the criticism that follows. I'm sick of this attitude that you deserve accolades but constructive critiscism is unacceptable. What was witnessed Friday in McEwen Gym wasn't basketball, it was an embarassment. Sale Creek didn't come out with the intentions to play with any fire or any intensity, they wanted Whitwell to lay down just because a few days before they had given CSAS a game. Instead of coming out looking to put the same kind of pressure on Whitwell that they put on CSAS they came out flat and stagnant on defense. Instead of getting their butts down and their hands out, they are content to handcheck and roll the red carpet out to the basket. There was flat out no effort on defense -- I would hate to think that I was 6ft or taller and I would allow a 5'7 wingman to post me up on the block and score on me. That is just a lack of pride. If a player cannot find it with himself to put it all on the line and guard someone with intensity, then maybe that player needs to be sitting on the bench taking stats. Compliments to the coach for pulling the starters and putting the JV in during a stretch in the 3rd quarter. That really got Sale Creek into the game. I like what I saw out of Travis Hodge. Not only did he get a clutch 5 points that gave them a lift, he was also crashing the boards on defense, harder then I anyone else I saw on Sale Creeks team. I was also very impressed with James Hankins. He stepped it up for Sale Creek during the tournament and he is the one truly deserving of any kind of award for tournament play. To not give him an award for his play is biased and whoever decides upon the awards should be ashamed of themselves because he was robbed. And on his 3 pointer, yes I agree that the three seconds in the lane call was bogus since there was only 1 seconds left, but when the shot left his hands the buzzer had already went off so it would not have counted anyways. The Sale Creek fans shouldn't of been booing the officals; they should of been booing the players for giving the fan base such a poor effort and cheating them out of their hard earned money.

the Hawks might have crashed Sale Creek's homecoming but Sale Creek came through when it mattered, crashing Richard Hardy's hope of a region birth. This game can be summed up best with this: "Go home Joe, it's over."

it's never good when you're program is such a joke that someone has to hear the information repeatedly to make sure it's actually what was said.

Whitwell will carry the momentum into the next game and I see them making the Pirates walk the plank. no pun intended.

Richard Hardy might have crashed Sale Creek homecoming, but Sale Creek is going to crash Richard Hardys region hopes. I forsee Hugh Coulter leading his team to victory as if he was Moses leading the children of Israel into the promise land.

Brian Brewer is supposedly in alternative school for fighting. Last year he was a hero risking his life to rescue drowning kids, now he's throwing down on school property. Who is Brian Brewer? He sounds like a man of many faces.

I heard that Sale Creek defeated Lookout Valley 90-64 and exorcised they Brian Brewer sized demons One can only hope that the Sale Creek keeps the momentum and plays some seriously "rack ball" come Thursday and going into the district.

SC beat Richard Hardy 47-44. The only question now, is how much do they win state by.

Silverdale pulled out the win tonight. Sale Creek played terrible tonight. What was on display tonight was a lack of pride, lack of testicular fortitude and a flat out joke. The post player for Silverdale had like 27 points, 20 of which was probably 2 feet away from the basket. Can we please get some low post defense?

i think it's funny how the players want praise for "improving" (winning 5-10 games, finishing bottom of district) but they don't want to be criticized and told what they're doing wrong and what they should improve on. that is irony... im guessing half the people who have posted in defense of sale creek are going to have to look that word up.

the truth hurts. try playing some defense and maybe people won't personally call you out. and bbalbabie, i think you're lost. this is boys basketball not girls, shouldn't you be annoying people on the other forum? oh wait, there is actually nothing to talk about when it comes to the sale creek girls because they're actually worst than the guys.

if you're travis hodge you try to be fancy and dribble 35 times between your legs before you shoot the ball. Can we please just catch and shoot when we're open? and what about brad james? he's been playing at sale creek since he was in 6th grade and he's still yet to guard someone. is it that hard to actually play some defense?

so let me get this straight. you're one of the first people to diss sale creek, yet you're going to defend them until you die. and i guess by "going big" you mean winning 10-12 games and finishing 4th in the district. i guess after losing to richard hardy twice last year after 8 years of dominance (low point of the program), actually having a double digit season will be going HUGE. who needs district championships when you can win 10 games!

ummmm starting JV doesn't count. and even if you start varsity it really doesn't matter because you would only start JV at any other school. sorry, the truth hurts.

where is jake skogen, ryan wadley and jeron williams when you need them? instead we have temple breaking rules to bring players in who are terrible. i guess it's real easy to recruit players and beat public schools.

basically whitwell has had a history of playing dirty to try and achieve success. i wouldn't be surprised if the coach for whitwell made it the players mission to try and take the PG out of action. and what is it with sale creek? you might have a season where you finally break 10 wins and all the sudden all the bench warmers are storming the message boards to gloat about beating bad teams. then if that isn't bad enough, we have people like bballbabie11, scsilentassasin40 (are you called the silent assasin because you don't actually participate in the games? maybe if you stopped trying to be fancy and played some defense you could stop disgracing the # you wear), salecreekrules, 123, bball04 defending sale creek. before you know it bbplaya23948 is going to jump on the boards and boast about sale creek snapping their 2 year losing streak to city!
