You don't need to go that far. Just take Soddy, Ooltewah from 4-Bradley, Cleveland from 3 and anybody else you want to throw in from the rest of the state. It want matter. Now thats some sarcasm. On the hand more programs are on the rise but you just have to let everything play out because some teams will be 1 to 4 year wonders, and then they fall back off. Really only Soddy and Bradley have shown the staying power through out the years, Look for good feeder programs, you will see where the good teams are coming from in the future. I'll add this: Blackmon, Indy, Brentwood all have good kids there and coming up. Chattanooga wrestling is changing slightly. You can go from program to program, teams are starting to have trouble with depth. Which means you are only an injury or two from mediocrity, Bradley still has that depth, we will find out from Cleveland this year because they lost some quality wrestlers from last year. I think it has alot to do with school zonings myself so you could take it one step further and look at school zones to see where you can pull wrestlers from and who has more fertile ground.

In Hoc, you may want to check out the name Chris Phillips from Monroeville, Ohio., he won the Iron Man at 171 as a Freshman, he is a Sophmore this year in high school. He beat 1,2,3 ranked kids in the country at that weight i believe.

Sorry Bororef, I would think that you need to earn your representation. I agree with most of your line of thought and reasoning but your first statement seems to me to strike at the heart of our sport. If my dog had not just woke me up at 4 in the morning i might could give better reasoning as to why this just doesn't sound right but i'm at a loss for words. Maybe its for the best, i might have a different take on this when i wake up. It was good to see some wrestling yesterday in Tullahoma!

I don't think PBD brought up anything on how great a wrestler his son is or will be this year. You can go back and look at bcb's rules and see that PBD has not broken any of them so therfore PBD shouldn't have to come to defend his son's record or anything else, other posters have brought up Josh though, and in my book it is our peers)fellow posters) that should speak. bcb and i watched this young man wrestle last year at Soddy and we both agreed Josh is the real deal, You can have more than one real deal per weight class, we probably need to put that in the bylaws. Jason McCroskey never won state but i always felt he was the real deal, plenty of other young men have stood atop the podium at the round gym and never wrestled again. The young man that won for Penn State in the NCAA finals last year never won a state championship, I think the best he ever got was third or fourth. I wonder now : is he the real deal.

Seeing that I failed to even start on this years New Years resolution, whats two more months of trying to clear out the food bar. Maybe next year but I could try to kick my smoking habit instead. I know Sliger has some great skill's for a big man but I would think that Letner's year of college wrestling might be the difference maybe not.

I think that some may say that 160 in D2 was very week last year, and I watched Wes wrestle in Alabama this spring. I did say you would have to look at Wes at 171, I would say he is the favorite just because he is a defending state champ. Manley will be at 119 for Baylor I think.

I might be thinking ND will get 18 from just three weights,25-89-215 103 is going to be a close match between Mullins and Mosley, two very good wrestlers. ND could win 12,19,30 Of course we don't what kids are going where so this is a good waste of time.

hrdcr- If your talking about D1-D2 matchups I think it would break about even, just in finals matches, thats with D1 sweeping 171-Hwy, D1=7wins, D2=7wins.

So we can all agree on Cole Mosley, thats my pick at 103. I'm shooting for 100% on my picks too 2lbleg. I'll go out on a limb and pick Jake Young in D1 at 171. Although there are lots of good wrestlers at that weight, when Jakes healthy, i feel like he's one of the best athletes I've ever seen, Croy also at 89 thats pretty safe bet along with being another great athlete, i think those two were cut from the same piece of granite. Watson at 12 in D2, I'll have too research more wrestlers later. I'm going for 100% correct picks, I have to outwit bcb. D2-103 Mosley D2-112 Watson D2-119 D2-125 Hooker D2-130 Hayes D2-135 D2-140 Duncan D2-145 Hayes D2-152 Marchetti D2-160 Cash D2-171 D2-189 Jarrell D2-HWY Carrethers At 171 you would think about Wesley but if Helton from Baylor is at 71, I'll take Helton. Also if Pinkstaff is at 60-I see Pinkstaff/Cash finals if the brackett works out right. If helton is at 89 he's in the finals with Jarrell, and 71 is wide open depending on alot of varibles.
