  2. I was wondering if i could like just wear some overalls for this picture. Glc is well on his way to being a big ole boy himself and im loving it, boys if Ms. Glc stays with him after losing all the hair he's lost plus the extra baggage gained we all have a shot as long as Pretty Boy Bearcat stays away, Coach you will never be an enemy of mine unless you don't produce said video from your weekend excursion.
  3. RMC-What happened to your other post on this thread, i cant find it anymore? 19,25, or 30 on your question.
  4. I agree Rabbit, you were right on kyle james. I think Rabbit knows a great wrestler when he sees them and Soddy has had quiet a few for him to judge. He wouldn't just throw that out there for nothing.
  5. You might check out the name "Harry Lynn", him and bcb may have had a bad encounter.
  6. Well it could be those two question marks at 52 and 60 their talking about, we know how you get things done glc.
  7. I did notice the shoutout and it was much apprecited, i hope that the EBE can expect more love from BCB in the very near future.
  8. ok thank you for your quick response on this matter, yours truly.
  9. I don't know about Hixson, but /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Campbell Lewis is zoned for McCallie and i feel thats where he should attend school.
  10. Such a welcoming site to behold, with bcb constant pandering to the bsfbag its great to read about some differing opinions. /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />
  11. I've not often questioned the knowledge of the Great Bear Cat Brown but If you would be so kind as to telling me who you think is going to unseat the EBE's very own MIKE HOOKER. If i'm not mistaken he is the defending state champ as an 8th grader. Do you feel his skills have declined, or maybe you feel he's already peeked.? /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  12. I just wanted everyone to know this: When the Mighty Warriors went out of town to wrestle, we treated it like an event. It was fun that we all supported one another and the friendships made during those great years cannot be replaced. Chattwrestling, glc, Bearcat, Greg Presselly, Chiq, Jim McClure, all of you guys, and Gals: my wife included. Kevin took us all over the place and we followed, it was when he was the happiest. He told me the last time we were all together at Blackmon last fall" I'm coaching all my kids and for this day we aren't worring about who's going to school where, we are just a family today. He loved watching his kids compete just as he had instructed them and wearing them new Mighty Warrior singlets. The last few weeks of the season last year doesn't represent the man I know as Coach Emily. He couldn't stand to be without his kids and he finally came to the relization that all that time an effort was not going to support his program at Red Bank high school and I don't think he could bear the thought of having to coach against those young men nor did he have the heart to carry on with out them in chattanooga. I know some may not understand or care about the pressure/ dispare Kevin felt as a human being but everything he had dreamed about with this group of kids was falling apart. We had our share of words some not so nice, but life is not nice somtimes and this was not how it was all supposed to end. I was pleased to see the grappler had some nice words to say: I was worried! But you got it Grappler, the passion. Mike Sutherland is another one that has that passion, for those parents with kids that have been coached by Mike, you know what I mean. My sons still love and respect Mike to this day. It was awesome to be a part of the Mighty Warriors, you gotta believe for a man to act that crazy, u gotta luv it.(that was for you COACH)
  13. Our family hurts today, and wrestling for us as a family may never be the same. It meant something to us for Kevin to be in our corner. We have lost a confidant, a coach, and a friend. My wife called me in tears when she read this post today. Kevin gave everything he had to my kids, your kids, all kids. I know Kevin Emily, I love Kevin Emily. My youngest son told my father the other day during a discussion about where he wanted to go to highschool, that he would just go to Red Bank to be with Coach. Kevin just tried to laugh it off but I knew it affected him, just as it had affected me. There will be no more Coach, not in this house. Kevin was our Coach. Thank all of you for the kind words and discussion about Kevin. I've asked Kevin to accept his legacy, his legacy lies with the kids. We had three mats going at the HCAC wrestling tournament. I called Kevin and told him during that evening that we had 6 kids wrestling on the mat at that time. I can't recall a mat during the tournament that didn't have a MIGHTY WARRIOR wrestling on it. These kids do wrestle for competing schools but they will always be a MIGHTY WARRIOR, and you will see Kevin Emily's influence on a mat near you for years to come. So, don't get all pumped over Kevin leaving because his MIGHTY WARRIORS aint left town just their COACH. The Henry Family
  14. Hey, this is ctwig and you better stop before I start writing a tell all book about you on the pages of Coach T. You know what I mean! Undertaker!
  15. vasdeferens, is this directed at Coach Emily or Danny Tolbert or Tony Tolbert or Danny Jr. I thought the original post was about us as a wrestling community losing one of our best Coaches. If you would expand your thoughts a little bit it might help the rest of us know what your talking about, Monkey? JUDO PUSS? Please help, I would like to know what you mean by all this jibberish.
  16. FFL, Coach and I. As everyone knows, we try to keep options open. We could pull a Duncan, but I'm sure glad T.J. wears Blue at this time. I told Coach it's time to make it a rivalry again. The atmosphere is going to be awesome to experience, if we can win more than two matches.
  17. Coach, Do you need some cheese. You have really changed. Cry Baby! I'm glad you weren't going thru a life change when you were coaching my son's. Sad, or pityful as stated by kidstaxi.
  18. I was going to put kidstaxi in the Maxwell corner but he or she's waiting in some parking lot ready to give erections to anyone that needs them. Bearcat needs nothing but a few Michs. and he's ready to kick some hardcore arse.
  19. I feel we should be thankful for a venue to watch our kids compete. FCI left us all hanging a few years ago and Alabama stepped up and kept this tournament going. I think they had two weeks to prepare. Two years at Vestavia and now this year at Hoover, which I feel was one of the better years for competition. Lest we forget that every year at Camp Jordan we lost a team or two from the competition each year. The first year we were there, Michigan-New Jersey plus other good teams were there but each year another team would drop out. The last years it was Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and S. Carolina brought a few wrestlers. The yanks thought they could come south and whip us, but we know that didn't happen or we at least held our own. I talked to a women from Michigan one year and she said her son had over 200 matches for that year. I took my son all over the south wrestling FCI, Chattanooga, Atlanta we had 60 matches all year including the challenge cup, her son could wrestle up to 20 matches in a weekend. We need to continue to build up wrestling in the south, with our own college programs and we can win too. If i were running the tournament i would focus on trying to get more teams from the south like Kentucky, Texas, etc..It looked like the highschool division had a good turn out, maybe better than ever so i think it's going in a good direction. I'm mostly speaking from a Middle school perspective but this is the 7th year we've competed so I've watched alot of matches. I still believe the Metcalf/Keller match was the best ever! I've made alot of friends over the years with people from other states and it has been worth every penny. Alabama's done a fine job, not perfect but within reason. I tell the kids when you go into someone else's backyard don't leave anything to chance because if you get in a close one with the home team it more than likely aint going your way.
  20. Coach Emily is a good man, role model, mentor. He funds his program from his on pocket, no booster club to help out to mean much. The school doesn't help out at all. We didn't even have one training bike this year for the kids to ride that were injured. He financed it himself, hotel rooms for kids that can't afford it Coach Emily, meal money Coach Emily. Red Bank has alot of good athlete's but very few that are wrestlers. When you have other sports programs at the school telling kids not to wrestle, they need to be training for football ect...it wears on you if wrestling is your passion. To wrestle for Coach is not easy, he demands perfection, perfect attendence at practice, he demands that each kid takes care of thier business. Coach Emily's mentality is not condusive to having a great many kids sticking with wrestling. I've begged him to let kids back on the team that misstepped because I wanted to try and have a full team to compete. When you only have 15 to 20 kids in the wrestling room it matters. Coach is still learning to handle the politics, but make no mistake Coach knows the rules, knows wrestling and can take you to the top if you want to make the sacrifice to be the best because it matters to him. He coached one of my son's at the age of 6 for the first time(Team Tennessee) and for the last four years all three of my son's, they love him. They know what he demands, and it drives them to be the best. We have decided to go another direction because the school system is in such dissaray in Chattanooga. If you've read the paper lately, then you know what I'm talking about. An for all the haters, you probably wan't understand until it's too late but I can handle pretty much everything in life, what I can't handle is looking in the mirror wondering if I've done everything in my control to prepare my kids for life. Much Love Coach!
  21. Where's the update. I heard Dan "The Man" won both challenge matches, at 125.
  22. YC16, are you saying wrestling is in our jeans, or our genes. We have fun reproducing our wrestlers, you on the other hand have to use the belt, fear mongor.
  23. 1. You don't have to read the posts. Fellowship with other parents is one of the most important satisfactions you get from watching your children compete. Bearcat carry on with your meetings, we like reading about them.
