  1. Keta is an unbelievable talent. she is averaging close to 25 a game with 10 rebounds and close to 7 steals. She has shown her team how to win and they are responding.
  2. Marion county was able to ride the arm of Lucas Lloyd til their bats woke up.......16 to 4, huge three run blast by Trey Hill
  3. Congrats to Zeph, he is afine young man. Coach K is getting it done.....11-5, nice job coach
  4. I think last year's team had so many turnovers Coach K pulled his hair out, both of them. I think Coach K and the Warriors are doing a tremendous job. The team is 7-4 and 3-2 (0-1 as the Lady Warriors coach) respectively, when was the last time the warriors achieved this kind of success. Sources claimed the warriors committed 14 turnovers against Sequatchie. Marion has a tremendous amount of athletic ability and push the ball extremely well down the court. 14 turnovers is pretty dang good given the agressive and effective brand of ball played by Coach K's warriors. The atmosphere at Sequatchie was awesome.
  5. The lady warriors have to play well to try and keep pace with Coach K's warriors. K's warriors have jumped out to a 6-4 start. It has been a while since the boys from Jasper have had this kind of sucess. K instills pride and the desire to win in his warriors.
  6. Troy is an excellent coach and takes control in the clubhouse and in their practices
  7. Marion is replacing 80% of their scoring with the graduation of Kilgore and Rich. They are Very young but also very promising. 100% improvement in handling the press and their defense. Central should not underestimate Seq.
  8. I worked both and busted my butt every single time I put on the uniform. 3 Man crew coverage worked correctly is far superior to a 2 man crew. today's game would put a two man crew in so many situations of one official being forced to lock in on one or two players while the other official would be responsible for 8 to 9 players due to the three point shot. I do agree with you regarding hustle, over reffing, and refs not fully understanding the proper mechanics of the three man rotation.
  9. I could understand your point of view til you made the comment that officiating went down hill by going to three officials. There are just too many dead areas of coverage in two man officiating. I agree with talking the players thru situations but the T$$AA strongly discourages any verbal actions with the players other than the sound of the whistle.
  10. She is much better than pretty good. She is one of the best players in A ball, she is one of the best players around.
  11. you do have to be kidding, the seating is inadequate and there is a track around the field which puts the fan even further from the action.
  12. I was very close to the scene. I never had to say a word to any of my Lady Warrior players, their hearts could not be hidden. Although it took a couple of attempts in the JV game, the young lady from Grundy scored then as well. The touching thing about that moment was also the fact that my four varsity players were sitting on the bench with with JV players and had tears rolling and screaming and celebrating with the young lady. I am very proud of my Warrior team and I was very lucky to be around these Lady Warriors. I am proud, very proud.
  13. In The Marion and Whitwell game the officials did exactly what they were suppose to do with the jump ball with 2 seconds left. Marion has just tied up the ball and recieved the alternate possession. The table does not immediately change the direction of the possession arrow. Good defense by Whitwell resulted in another tie up on the Marion inbounds play. Things happened very fast. The table had not chaged the possession arrow yet and was showing possesion belonging to Marion. Had the official not stepped in and corrected the error, Marion would have received the ball again. When the ball is tied up, the ref is to look at the table which has the responsibility of keeping the possession arrow. The ref in this case caught the error and made the correct adjustment. The refs did a good job. Marion had 21 fouls while Whitell had 20. Whitwell shot 36 free throws while Marion shot 25. The refs did their job and allowed two great players, Thomas and Kilgore, to show their abilities and heart.
  14. Yep, that new ladies coach at jasper is worse than that bald headed coach at whitwell. it's me it's me, it's ernest coach t.
