  1. What were the final team scores? And the Independance team, who are they?
  2. Didn't Elizabethton compete in this tournament last year? Are they not coming back?
  3. I think Marion County will take it all.
  4. Look, Mr. BigRedBlooded poet, what does WTF stand for? Sounds like a Junior High drop-out term to me. Come on, what does WTF stand for? That speaks volumes of your class.
  5. Good question. Somebody fess up? What does it cost to get into the tournament with a tournament pass? My wife is killing me with this question. Help a brother out!
  6. I don't think Rabbit was comparing McCroskey with Bundy at all. He was just throwing McCroskey's name out there as a serious contender. How do you interpret it any other way? Loosen up.
  7. Come on deltawarr. Your points were valid, and I must say I agree with you. But come on! You're killing me with the heavy attempt to impress the rest of us with your use of the Queen's english. Not Necessary! Do you talk to people the way you write? If so, then you gotta be used to sitting alone. I'm trying to wake myself up here after laboring through your impressive indeed post.
  8. JV. The women will scream with gladness, when you start talking that JV madness.
  9. Drake Carter is one of the finest young men I have ever had the pleasure to be associated with and to have coached. He comes from great stock, and is held to such high standards. His choice to persue a military career through West Point is a tribute to the fine people of Rhea County and the State of Tennessee. What a solid individual. Hats off from across the river, here in Ooltewah.
  10. How did Ooltewah's Sliger do against Zimmerman of Soddy Daisy at the region duals? And really, who is this Sliger guy anyway?
  11. Gotta come from the bowels of some coffee room in the TSSAA headquarters. Picture some guy pulling and tugging on the puppet strings like the wizard of oz. It will come out, and by-gosh you will like it. Case closed!
  12. Soddy Daisy looks to have full sail into the State championship in my opinion. What a solid team top to bottom. As usual, putting it together again at the end of the season Ooltewah wrestled tough, matches that went the distance time after time. Good showing for the Owls who seem to be on top of their game also peaking at the right time. Very impressive against the upcoming Lions. So what's up on Monday? Will the Owls prevail?
  13. Murray beat Vandergriff? Then who's the "Mac Daddy" in the heavys now? My choice is Murray!
  14. Can Science Hill beat Greenville again at the region duels?
  15. I would like to see who is seeded where at 275. Any head-to-head? Common opponents?
  16. Thanks TDArtist for getting the point, and the math is very accurate. Pattonboysdad is really on the cutting edge whith that response. . For a 105 wrestler who might wrestle on Tuesday, there is no two pound allowance, only 1/2 pound, if he wants to wrestle at 105. That is why Henry at SD wrestles late in the week only to take advantage of weekend pound allowances. He then has more time for the clock to work. Gordon does the same.
  17. Two pounds?! What good is that with weight management? One and a half percent of total weight per week squashes that, especially if someone wrestles on lets say, Tuesday. It's worthless for those who adhere to the rules. Two pounds is bogus! Is any of this weight management stuff really enforced? If so, then the "103 is 107" is really not true, especially at that light weight class. One and a half percent of 103 per week means about 1/2 lb above 105 allowance. It is a serious problem for those who take it seriously. Enjoy the pancakes!
  18. Let's see, $8.00 for the all day price. If I am not mistaken, that is what we paid at the Ooltewah tournament, and at Brentwood. How come they were charging $12.00 at the Central Invitational. Whoa, must have been some grand event there. Maybe there was a promise of a dog and pony show between breaks.
  19. Good venue. Room to have more teams involved. It seemed to be a Science Hill & Ooltewah showcase. Very exciting finish. It seemed to be very close. What, wasn't it a six or seven point difference between the two? Really had fun since our Kingston team did very well.
