  1. Also, in regards to the Sequoyah game, Central plays them every year. The programs are familiar with each other. That always makes for a better game. I think logic says that CAK will win but I expect this to be one of the best games in the first round in any class. I think either team can win. This game is going to be about turnovers & execution. Central losses came to teams with a combined 28-2 record. CAK's is 10-0. The system hosed both teams but it is, what it is....Go Chargers!
  2. I know Godfrey has hit (2) from fifty this year. I hope he is in consideration, he deserves it.
  3. Based on a sequatchie team (that should have beaten Bledsoe earlier this year) I watched last night. Loudon will kill them. Loudon - Mercy Rule Bledsoe - trash points (If you get trash points, do it with JV on JV....not !st against fresh like Seq. Co.)
  4. uh...don't know what game you were watching last night but I do hope you have the film. I think you need to watch it again. On the interception, Central's targeted receiver (#81 I beleive) on that play was tackled to the ground about 15-20 yards down the field. It was the most obvious call on the night.
  5. Final 41-25 Central. It was very tacky for the SC coach to leave all of his starters in (Off. & Def) after Central sent in the JV & freshman. Maybe the first series after they came in, but the whole time and to go for two on them....really? If the SC back-ups was doing it more power to them but, the starters against freshman?!?! That was pitiful display just to stay out of the mercy rule. Central was up 41-10 at the time. After they scored 2 cheap TD's MC put the starters in to finish it. I was glad MC was trying to score at the end after that.
  6. As with all 3A teams, to stay out of the mercy rule, Alcoa has to be beating themselves.
  7. I beleive they can (depending on the draw). I would really like to see Polk again in round 2.
  8. Sequatchie will not be a serious contender, Bledsoe will not be a serious contender, and it depends on who central gets round one whether or not they win a game in the playoffs. I agree, doc.
  9. to quote an Alcoa person "you can't understand what the F5 is until you have experienced it"
  10. I hope it works out this way. Keep the F5 away from quad 2.
  11. ??Is that meant to be derogatory toward MC or SC??? clarify please...
  12. I would definitely disagree on the better ball comment. MC has the ability to make some noise and bite a "better" team this year but, they are not as good as last year.
  13. I'm going to make my prediction (and yes, I pretty much stole this from the Ken Massey match-up analyzer) MC 28 SC 14
  14. I have not seen both teams this season. I will say that if your analysis is correct and MC's offensive line plays as well as they did against Alcoa in protection, Central will have a big night.
  15. FYI. The combined records of SC opponents is 19-8 (1 loss to 4A scool with a losing record & 2 2A schools). The records of MC's opponents is 25-2 (2 undefeated 3A schools and a 2 loss 6A team that is playing for their district championship this week & Central lost to the 6A team by 4 points). It's hard to measure matchup's this way but I would hesitate to predict a blow out win for SC.
  16. I would have loved to have seen this game last night. I was in Knoxville and was able to catch the very end on the radio. (good job radio guys) What impressed me most was the post game interview with the CAK head coach. It was very inspiring and I believe he is a true man of God. His interview was a mini-sermon. I don't know much about him but, from what I heard from him, all CAK parents should be thankful to have him as coach, teacher, & role model for their children. Good luck CAK against Alcoa.
  17. "And to Ivan Sanders....."Gimme back my vote!!!" Clown." Well, don't you think if he thought Betsy was number 1 last week and they got beat by an undefeated CAK...who would logically be #1? I bet he votes for CAK.
  18. The same price as all TSSAA games $6.00 and we don't charge for parking...........dang! ummmmm was this post a joke???
  19. What?? How does making a crack at CAK have anything to do with this board? Besides, if you have a soccer program, it will definately help your kicking game.
  20. How much are tickets at Alcoa? Do you guys charge parking? You should be ashamed of yourselves making visitors pay to come in there and take beatings like you do. haha
  21. You're probably right about SP this week but lets save MC vs SC for next week shall we?
  22. I think the weather will be a major factor either way.
