  1. I am a Shelbyville fan will be the first to say that we were not the better team tonight. When I saw the number of big men Siegel I had I knew that unless Shelbyville played a near perfect game we were going to be in trouble. So let me be the first to say good luck and hope you all make it to state and represent our region well.
  2. How many times has Shelbyville beat Riverdale this year? That would be 3 counting tonight. Are you going to say that it was the refs fault everytime? Just admit it better players, better caoching, better fans.
  3. Shelbyville played the most complete game I have seen them play all year. Congrats to all the girls. They played like they had something to prove and with this win I believe they did just that.
  4. Well you were right Shelbyville was unable to beat FC by 20. but then again when you have 17 fouls in 1 half it is hard to play your type of game. Shelbyville had to beat FC plus the refs tonight. The refs are the only thing that kept this from being a blowout.
  5. I wonder how many people thought Shelbyville would be in a position to win the district at the beginning of the season. To lose the starting talent that they lost from last year and still be as competitive as they are now is a credit to the coaches and players.
  6. Does anyone know when was the last time Shelbyville lost 2 in a row?
  7. Well I am glad to see that you admit the lady ref was for LC. Still trying to figure out why she called a technical foul on #55 in a game as tight as this. But the girls needed this loss. Maybe it will be the wake up call that they have been needing.
  8. Very well thought out post. I couldn't agree with you more
  9. Yes the ref made one call that everyone will agree was a bad call but there is no way the refs were cheating for Shelbyville. Your team won and they deserve to be proud of that. The players decided the game and that is the way it should be.
  10. Maybe their off night was a direct result of Shelbyville's good defense.
  11. I would like to put my name in the hat for the free plus subscription. I am new to CoachT and this would be an excellent opportunity to learn more about this site. Thanks for the consideration
  12. Would love to see these two play together for another 4 years. They have put on a show for the Shelbyville fans this year.
  13. I was sitting in the stands near the Mitchell dressing room and right before they left the floor I saw two of the players have to be seperated by other members of their team. I thoght that was odd but this might have been the beginning of that altercation
  14. I just want to congratulate all the Shelbyville players and coaches for making this a very enjoyable year of basketball. We fans were able to experience 2 of the most impressive games in the history of the program. Starting with the win over Brentwood Academy which may go down as one of the greatest games ever played at SCHS gym to the loss to Hamilton in 2 OT which is the most exciting game I have seen in a while. These players have been exceptional reprensentatives for our community. Also to Stewart and Twilley on reaching the 1500 pt milestone in their SCHS career and sharing the MVP award for the district. This is a tremendous accomplishment and an example of the hard work they have put in to get to where they are. This team has done something that no other boys team has ever done in the history of boys basketball in Shelbyville, they made it to the championship game. I am sure finishing 2nd was not the goal but no one can take anything away from the determination you all showed in last nights game. I was there and saw the emotion after the final shot just would not fall. You guys truthfully left everything on the court. Once again thanks for all the memories we the fans will carry from this season and I wish all the seniors the best in whatever direction you take after high school. Good luck next season.
