It is hard to believe ANYONE who knows jack about football does not understand that I am talking about his explosiveness not his straightline speed. Which is up there too. Have you seen this kid??? I have seen plenty of HS football up close and in different classifications. You can argue ALL you want... the kid is quick! You know he has managed to accumulate over 1500 yards this season, but I'm sure that is due to our poor strength of schedule. I never said we would win solely because of Malone, I said we would win because I feel like we have the better team. I am not discounting WG's victory, but I still believe we have the better team. I was under the impression I was allowed to be confident in my team on this site. And you are wrong, I thought UT would beat the number one ranked team in the country because Dooley was back on the sideline and not in the box. (Complete sarcasm for you there before you call me out on my blindness again.)

I replied the night of the game! Pretty sure I said somethin like... Congrats West Greene. Still a Doak faithful, Still wear my yellow and black every Friday, just like my orange on Saturday, just like my Titan blue on Sunday. Still believe every time we suit up we have a chance to win! WG wins in OT 33-27... WG had a 4 yd drive and a 10 yard drive! That makes it pretty rough on a defense! Penalty at the end of regulation, personal foul (questionable) on CD... Which is soppused to be 1 untimed down in regulation, instead was enforced at the start of OT so CD only possession in OT started from the 25. BUT WG took care of business on their possession, and got the deserved win! Am I saying now that they are the better team? They were tonight. Congrats.

Would you prefer CD fans got on a thread about CD vs WG and conceeded the game! If you aren't confident in your team, go get another one. They probably don't want you anyway! So there is no sudden burst in confidence. Week in and week out I have full faith that The Black Knights are going to win. That's called being a fan! I'm smart enough to know that sometimes you are just outgunned, (last week) but even at that there is a chance. "That's why they play the games." Well first of all, I call bull on your "play and practice up close" comment. (You may have the capability to get film on each team and game, but you are not at practices for both WG and CD. That is a lil far fetched, don't you think?) Second it doesn't matter who knows Malone is gettin the ball, it's a matter of who can catch him. Kid is at max speed faster than almost any I have ever seen! CD's play calling has been spot on in those "where it counts" situations. Christian has done a heckuva job in his first year at the helm being the head man and OC. The DC has had kids in position all year, but we have had several games with tons of missed tackles. (Takes kids and coaches time to get used to new staff or staff in different positions than before.) Look, I can respect your opinion, but I just wonder how much of it is formed from watching CD play one or two games, and not seeing the first film or games of some of the teams you are comparing them with. Cumberland Gap was our worst showing all year. So anything derived from that game is not an accurate assessment as far as I'm concerned! As a Black Knight faithful, I couldn't be happier that our Coaching staff is as young, excited, and motivated as they are!

You CAN NOT compare what team A does against team B to determine the outcome of team A vs team C matchup! eg: Chuckey Doak vs Claiborne 14-6 CD Chuckey Doak vs Cumberland Gap 55-27 CG Claiborne vs Cumberland Gap 16-11 Claiborne None of that is statistically worth a crap when predicting CD vs WG. Sports fans are so self contradicting. A bunch of you are saying CD has shown a better team throughout the season but WG has the coaching advantage... If WG had the coaching advantage, wouldn't their team had been better throughout the season??? It's baffling how people pick and choose when to blame a coach or give them credit (If the team wins the kids played great, if they lose the coaches suck!!) Can't have it both ways people!

WG doesn't have anyone who can catch #39. If CD plays like they did against Greeneville they take it by more than a couple TDs. Malone hasn't just looked good against mediocre defenses. He's the real deal! Our defense has been hot and cold, but I was more than pleased with them and their effort against Greeneville. GO BLACK KNIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!

Well, CD has to play North Greene, not much of a choice there. And there is a lot of history between Cosby and CD. That is a series that has been played almost every year of the Cosby football program's existence since 1990. But you're right, maybe we should schedule Alcoa and Maryville in the future. You missed the point anyway! All three of the team's you were talkin about compete with bigger schools with more money and better facilities within the same county for players! Do I fault Greeneville for that, Nope, but it is a fact!

Don't know much about Tyler as a coach, but I know he is a great guy!!! Played basketball for his Dad years ago, and I can't tell you how much respect I have for that man!!!!

Appreciate it! Wouldn't mind sittin pretty in the BRAC! Everybody likes to throw around the comparisons of who beat who, but there's way too many factors that play in to that! Best I can tell we should take it, but we'll have to play 4 quarters and make the tackles when we're right there at em before it will happen. They are supposed to have a handy lil QB, but I'm well aware of our DC's fondness of bringin tha house, i believe we have the size and speed to keep him presured all night. Flat out great play by Hampton! Congrats! Feel really dejected for my Eagles, but we'll pull it together. ANY coach that feels like their players have been wronged SHOULD and usually WILL show their displeasure. Coach Hall"s kids know he will go to bat for them. Won't make predictions, I'll just say this... I think the Eagles can win, and I hope they do! Schreder is definitely the real deal. (And an awesome kid to boot!) Pretty excited that we are playing thursday so I can be on tha hill to watch this one. The only time this season I'll get to wear the blue and black. Thank God for DVR so I can be there to cheer for my brother cause the next time I will be there I have to say "Go Black Knights!" (I'm tryin to go ahead and prepare mentally for that. Sittin at my alma mater, that my big brother is the head coach at, and cheer for a team I grew up loathing! ) Hahaha... Coach has already asked if he needs to take that day off to keep an eye on me! Oh wow, I was a little dejected last night so I didn't see all this till this morning! YIKES!!! Ok, here is my take from the game Pain, It was painful...if you were a CD fan. We were in position all night to make the plays, and just didn't do it! On both sides of the ball. Defensively we couldn't have been more right on the ball, but couldn't tackle for crap. (Unicoi's Hunter Abbott is a slippery lil feller apparently.) I don't think we were playing as hard as we could have. 39 and 31for us both looked good. (We had a few shining moments out of some other kids too.) We kinda looked timid!!???!? I'm sure that'll work itself out. Thank God it wasn't region play. I think we have a good group of kids. I just hope this loss upsets em more than it appeared to last night. I know they're kids but if you aren't bothered by a loss to a team that in my opinion, you are capable of beating, then you don't get that push to make yourself better. I got faith that the Knights can have a great season, but we gotta put together a better showin than last night. Kudos to The Blue Devils on their deserved win. 34-20Pure and simple...
