Yeah your right Hogeye is just a Livingston chant. Back in the 40's the nickname for a small community in Overton County was Hogeye. Most of the players on the LA team at the time was from Hogeye and their classmates would yell "Let's go Hogeye" in support.

LA plays David Lipscomb on Jan 6th at LA. LA came out on top by around 8 last year at DL home. We will find out on the 6th if our district can play with them.

LA scrimmaged Clarkrange Thursday and beat then by around 30. So I think everyone needs to quit underestimating LA and quit putting them under Smith County.

LA hasn't had to double and triple team Brown like they did last year this year because of Alison West. They use help side defense some on Brown and it has worked well. Alison West just needs to keep out of foul trouble so she can stay in the game and stop Brown. LA is not going to leave people open outside this year like they did last year. LA girls are really determined and I think they will go far this year. GO LA ALL THE WAY

Have you watched LA play York this year? Alison West Most Valuable Defensive Player in District 7AA this year has done an awesome job stopping Brown. Therefore they do not need to double team Brown like they did last year in the tournament and leave people open. There will be no one open tomorrow night like there was last year. LA has improved so much since last year. You will see tomorrow night. GO LA ALL THE WAY

LA is going to win this one. York put LA out of the tournament last year in the first round and they are not going to let them beat them again this year in the tournament. GO LA ALL THE WAY

I went to the girls 7AA District Tournament last night and was looking at 7AA All District Teams booklet. It says that the coach of the year for district 7AA was coach Melton of LA and that Wilson Cates from LA and Stinson from Macon Co. got co-mvps. Is this correct or are the books wrong?

Livingston will play York in the second round monday night at 8p.m.

District 7 AA tournament is at Tennessee Tech Univeristy the 17th through the 23rd. I don't know the times yet but they will be of a night.

I am a big Hog-Eye fan and I believe the Lady Wildcats can beat anyone when their hearts are in it. I believe this will be a close game and it will go down to the wire. Possibly over time again. I know the Bees are a really good team but they have been beat before. Therefore they can be beat again. LA will eat you up on defense and shoot the lights out on you soon as they get the chance. Just ask Smith Co. about LA holding them to only 2 points in overtime. I hope you come out on top in the district girls. Good Luck friday night.

You are exactly right they won't pull of a big win in the tournament playing like they did against Dekalb or like they did against Upperman both times. You should have been there the night we played York the first time and the time we beat Upperman in overtime. You would have got to see the real Lady Wildcats and you would be very impressed with LA. The Lady Cats also eat teams up with their defense and shoot the lights out. Just ask Smith Co. about LA holding them to only 2 points in overtime. Jill24 you better hope Brandi Brown is having a good night every night of the tournament or your Dragonettes will be out of the tournament fast. Livingston Academy should be were DCA is. DCA may have a better record but Livingston has beat both of the teams that DCA has lost to. Livingston beat David Lipscomb 56-48 at David Lipscomb and beat Upperman in overtime 77-74. I believe Livingston Academy and Upperman will come out of Region 4 AA.
