  1. a flat back four is an offsides trap because the back 4 defenders are flat in a line. You can play a four back with the two center backs dropping off a few yards. But a flat back is designed to press the field forward. The with a four back the center backs move and drop off in a line depending on where the ball is on the field
  2. intention doesnt matter on the handball, its if he gained an advantage
  3. Through balls are the main thing that beat a flat back four. That is how my highschool scored on flat back fours. I simple diagonal through ball beat the defense every time. If you play the way you are saying with one centerback behind the others, it allows for forwards to run behind the first line of defenders without being offsides. Throughballs are easily played behind a flat back four, that is why not many teams run it anymore. Look at any EPL team, they play with the two center backs deeper and the outside backs a step or two higher, its like a U shape in the back.
  4. Yeah, but a FLAT BACK FOUR doesnt matter if you have forwards who chase midfielders or a smart keeper, one long ball plays your entire team out of the game...one well timed run beats your whole team, no matter how hard your forwards work or how well the keeper reads the game I understand what you are saying, but a true flat back four is an offside trap defense, you have also have a four back where both centerbacks drop a few yards deeper than the wide defenders, not the same as a flat back four
  5. I dont know what ur talking about in a loss of possesion. Flat back fours get broken down all the time. Flat back four is the worst defense you can play. Any team with a forward with a little speed and skill would beat it easily.
  6. CAK is a good team, but they are not on another level then everyone else in A/AA, i dont know how you can make that sort of assumption, sure they won state last year, but they lost games too, they didnt go undefeated, they lost to FRA i know for sure. They just played trash teams all the way through state.
  7. Hume Fogg is terrible, didnt they lose 8-0 to FRA last year, did they make it out of district?
  8. you cant judge which division has better players, i know great players that have gone to play at the next level from all divisions, its really just where you go to school
  9. Ken McDonald-FRA Played at Penn State, all american Played professional for ten years coached Vanderbilt Women for ten years SEC coach of the year twice Great Coach by far
  10. correct me if im wrong, but didnt LC lose to a 22-3 FRA team that got screwed in state, but we wont talk about that because it has been analyzed over and over, but i still know FRA walked all over LC twice...
  11. you cant say whos a better player, no one here knows how to rate a player at the college level or any level higher than that, they both are excelent high school players
  12. I promise you D1 is a different level, after playing a year at D1, the comparison between NAIA and D1 is, well these isnt one, D1 is just higher, better skilled players and yes bigger players, Maryland, Indiana, any of these teams would be NAIA teams
  13. I promise you that Brian Lowder is better than him
  14. Sheffield is terrible come on, yeah if you make the tournament you should be good, but not all teams that make it are good, the only legitimate teams from last year were CAK, CCS, and FRA
