I think first round girls games are Thursday and the boys play on Friday.Im not sure on the Semis,girls is either Saturday or Monday.

You have fun,but you got to have an attitude on the court.Seattle Seahawks had fun on the field but they played with an attitude.We are too nice and Humboldt just pushes us around. Their attitude on the court intimidates us and its nothing wrong with their play.They are mental and physical tough.Brown just pushes us around under the basket. He going to keep pushing us around until we fight back.Playing angry and with some toughness.This group is not as good as the teams that made it to State, because they don't get out and play against the older guys to make them better and tougher.Those teams played ball at the Middle school and Miles gym all the time. You dont see anybody from this team playing.

Cope,Im predicting that UC will get to the Regional semifinals. Depending on who we draw that game,I cant say right now if we will get pass that game.I have to see how the District Tournament turn out to make a prediction beyond the Regional semifinals.With the players out from SF,we should play Humboldt in the District Championship and avoid them until the Regional Championship. South Fulton has to get past Gibson Co first without those players.I really dont wont to play SF in their gym in the Regional semis because they are tough at home.Humboldt has our number the last 3 games and seem to intimidate us.UC is not mentally tough and I think that might come back to hurt us and our inabilty to defend good teams hurt also.We are just too nice on the court. I heard Wichita St. motto the other day that we need to adopt,Play Angry.We have a team that can get to State,but we need to play hard the whole 32 minutes on offense and defense.Hustle,get 50-50 balls,diving on the court,sprinting from offense to defense,sprinting from defense to offense,getting after folks on defense.I dont think that offense will be a problem for us.I think that we should use our Matchup Zone more against SF and Humboldt.I think 1 District 14A team should make it to State,Mitchell will be the other.Middleton or BTW will be the traveling team.Nobody going to Mitchell and win plus the Regionals will be at Mitchell,so I see them hosting Sub State.Mitchell beat BTW 51-32 in the City Championship and beat South Side in the Penny Hardaway Hoopfest by 1.They are playing good now.We need to take it one game at a time and each game,each person need to leave it all on the court.

Quarterfinals is 1.Humboldt vs winner of play in game ;4.Lake Co vs 5.Halls ;2.SF vs 7 Gibson Co;3 UC vs 6.Bradford all Tueaday at 6:30.Semifinals are Friday at South Fulton with the 1-8 and 4-5 winners playing at 6 and the 2-7 and 3-6 winners playing at 7:30. Consolation and Championship will be Monday at 6 and 7:30 Feb.17.Weather permitting.

UC is the one seed.With 9 teams in the District, they play the winner of the play in game between Humboldt and South Fulton Monday night.

Humboldt is still whooping us from the second half of the first game until now.I dont believe UC have realized yet that they were in a fight,because they havent fought back yet.Im trying to remember since the second half of the first game until the end of this game,if Turner has missed a 3.LOL Just no sense of urgency to defend on UC part.University of Butler was there watching Bradford tonight.

Liberty is not in the regionals with Obion and Martin this year.Their regionals will be in Memphis this year. No one is counting them out,but they got a tough region with the Memphis teams.

You are correct.The 4 teams will be South Side, Fayette Ware, Lexington, and Bolivar.They will have to get a favorable matchup to win the first game.

I havent seen Haywood play this year and I thought they would be State Championship contenders about this time. I watched them play summer ball with 2 teams and they were really good about 3 years ago.This group should be juniors now and I said then that they will be tough to beat there junior and senior year. They also lost 3 kids that transferred who are really good. CPA on the other hand is really good.I thought they would lose more games than they have losing Jalen Lindsey. They are well coached and run their sets to perfection.The point guard really run the team,Allsmiller can shoot it and Blackwell is really talented.Everyone has stepped their games up to another level this year. I would like to see a Haywood and CPA championship but I will roll with CPA.They are hard to press, cant play zone against them and hard to defend man because of how well coached they are. They can really destroy a team.Its hard to pick against them.

Im expecting a very close game also.Going into a tough atmosphere were the crowd will be pumped up and also where the Vikings have only lost once this season to undefeated Haywood Co.I think the keys for Union City is to keep Turner from getting a lot of open looks ,and keep Humboldt off the offensive glass.Bradford will get his but I think that we cant let him go for 25 plus.The other players dont get plays run for them,so keeping them off the offensive glass is a must.Keys for Humboldt is Bradford staying out of foul trouble,limiting their turnovers,and keeping Stockdale,Deberry,and Simpson from combining for at least 54 points.I say this because they have lost 1 game this year when they score 54 plus and that was against Graves Co.Im talking about good and winning teams.Good teams they beat were they scored 54 plus and won,South Side 60,BTW 58,SF 54,Ripley 57and lost to Graves Co 62.Good teams that contained that,Stone Memorial 52 were they had a good game but lost by 5,Chattanooga Tyner 47 were they also had a good game but lost by 1,Grenada Ms 34,SF 38,and Humboldt 42.Just a little numbers game I came up with looking at my notes.LOL.UC has struggled out the gate the last 2 games,but I know they will be ready tonight. A win and a 3 way tie for first and a loss will be the 3 seed and Humboldt will win first.Im going with UC by 2 because I think the 3 will get that 54 plus and they will keep Humboldt off the glass because they have been really stressing boxing out and and putting a lot of emphasis on defense.One thing I noticed about Humboldt,after winning the Championship last year,they are hungry for another one and it shows on the court.They are mentally and physically tough and they play with an chip on their shoulder.Im looking for UC to match that tonight.My fantasy strategy would be to face guard Turner and try and keep Bradford contained,because if I can keep Turner from getting 15-20,it will be Bradford to score 30-35 to win.The other 3 responsibilty is to keep Brown and company off the glass.Force them to play through the other players.Probably easier said than done.LOL Just having a little fun but Im still predicting UC by 2.Good Luck to both teams and each teams Coach T posters.

I dont think either can beat Bolivar or Liberty in the first round.District 13AA is way down.I watched Liberty play and feel they are better than both of them.I havent seen Bolivar play but they beat Liberty the other night.District 14AA will sweep 13AA.

Sportsnerd,you got a good point.Black and Blackwell are good,but I like D.Lawson and Skal better than both to start at my powerforward and center spots.

Im saying Zay is known.People in Middle and East Tn know who he is..His assists are up this year and he is probably the second best point guard in Single A behind Bradford of Humboldt.Bradford is the best player in Single A. Union City has a team that 3 guys balance each other were know 1 player stick out.For Union City, you can argue that Deberry is the best player,some will say Simpson,and some will say Stockdale.The thing with Zay,they know how good he is,because he took about a 6-7 win team,some losses because of forfeit,to the Championship.

Nobody left the team JDOGG.Im talking about two that went to school somewhere else that was starters on that middle school state championship team.

Zay Coleman is known state wide because he been to the glass house for 3 years.Zay does a lot of distributing this year. He is still one of the best point guards in Single A.
