I am NOT a USJ fan or supporter but post like this make me mad !!! How do you know they cheated ?? If you DO know they cheated why aren't you man/woman enough to turn them in ??? Sounds like another disgruntled fan of someone who got beat on by a "private" school !!! If you don't have any proof then SHUT-UP !

My understanding is Coach Mac and the Commanders will NOT be given the title even though they were runner-up. The TSSAA in all of its wisdom will simply show NO A BASEBALL STATE CHAMPION for 2005. Of course nothing Mr. Carter does surprises me!!

So thanks for helping proving tnsddeveloper and my point...if they have a better athletic program and higher athletic standards as well as higher educational concerns for the athletes WHY WOULDN'T you want your children going there? They get to play on a competative team AND get a little better education.. sounds like a place I would want my child to be... so now they are !!!

So what's your point the "private" school I'm associated with only has 300 students also. So do you think the athletes don't work as hard as you do ? Are you saying just because they go to a school where the parents pay for their education they are some how better athletically? My child plays 2 sports and in no way was "recruited" we simply wanted a more structured and challenging education enviroment than the public schools offered. The enrollment numbers being the same sometimes kids just want to go to a school because of education, athletics, programs offered etc... but I don't believe the "hard work and dedication"level is any different because every one has to do those things to be successful in sports. Sounds like you are a little bitter because some of these "private" schools have done well in sports! Oh and 90% of our schools kids come from 1 county.

But since this is a post about A looks like to me in the last 13 years west tn has managed 3 titles which is .230 so I would say you have BEEN DOMINATED in class A in the last few years GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT !!!

Pryor is from Mt. Juliet and Mixson was home schooled... both pitch, pryor is a righthander who can play first base and mixson is a lefty

I think last year was a year when depth at pitching hurt FCS. I agree the 3 you mentioned will make a difference but there are 2 more transfers in Pryor and Mixson who will add even more depth. Pryor and Cravens can't play until mid-late April but the teams pitching is going to be deeper than ever and I believe that will be the difference this year.

I don't know why you think that is dumb... as I said at a camp Carter was covered by someone 10" shorter than him and his jumping skills didn't impress me. I agree he is a great player but I think he is better away from the basket. Capps is VERY physical and I think Carter will shy away from that kind of play . Also to jump with Carter he would only have to have 6 inches in vertical which I would say he would be close to. Capps is very athletic and all that combined is the reason for my" dumb " statement

I saw Grace at camp and the reason I think Pickett does have a chance is they play a more physical game. We had a 5"11' guy banging on Carter in camp and he only scored 9... Capps can jump at 6"3-4' as high as Carter .... Carter is a good outside player but inside tonite I don't think he will do to well... Pickett by 3 And I am not a Pickett fan we are bball enemies but their rough and tumble play along with good outside shooting may surprise Grace.

But have you seen Clay play ? I have seen both play and I believe Clay is ALOT more physical... they also have a huge advantage in that gym, ever been there? I am sure the answer to both questions I have ask is NO so everyone who has only seen Temple play and have never seen Clay at home you maybe in for a surprise tonite... Clay by 5. AND I am not from Clay as a matter of fact our teams don't really like each other I am just telling you what I think from seeing both teams play

Don't think they got it "handed" to them but... that was last year and I believe the post says favorite in A THIS year. I would think since the team that "handed" it to them last year moved to AA they would have to be one of the favorites in A THIS year.

I know it is very early and now is just scrimmage time BUT... on Sat. Friendship scrimmaged 2 AAA teams and very good AAA teams in Cookeville and Farragut ( Farragut won 2 out of the last 3 state campionships and 1 ruuner-up) FCS won the game with C'ville 3-1 and tied Farragut 4-4... even though it is early 2 very big games so I think FCS can play with anybody in A....

I'll take 6 out of those 8.... I'll take Wartburg over Cloudland because even though they lost in a close one to Cosby they know they are ranked #1 and they played with them... even in a loss had to be a confidence builder... The other change I'd make is Clay County over Temple... this Clay team has had to travel to 'Nooga every year, not only did winning the region give them home court it kept them away from Grace who they haven't had good luck with... I also think this group has been through this experience enough they are ready to go to the next step which is playing in the 'boro again... I'll take the other 6 but who knows... could be a night of upsets, guess we'll know Monday night

DEVILFANATIC... this is just a personal note to say congrads and I wish the boys from CC all the luck in the world.... show some of the west prople we can still compete !! Also tell Jon congrads on MVP... now I can tell you who my son is... #22 ( the "new" lefty in the post ) sure wish we could have hooked up in W-town that would have been a coversation worth having !! We'll be watching ya'll and start this last part of this trip right with a big win on Monday night IN CELINA !!

having seen both of these teams i believe if you get past capps pickett can be handled pretty easy... i know this will shock you devilfanatic... clay by 11 good luck to you both the rest of the way show the wst we still can play a little bball here in mid tn !!!

guess we'll see in a few weeks when ya'll get away from all those POWERHOUSE lol west tn teams and have to start playing some of the WEAK lol teams from the rest of the state

well lcfan i'm gonna let you in on my prediction... either clay or pickett will be in the final game if not BOTH ! if you think west tn will dominate next year think again too... pickett has 0 seniors and should dominate next year i'm not accociated with either one of these schools as a matter of fact they are our region enemies but i give credit where credit is due... funny a few weeks ago all ya'll lc fans were saying lc and uc,humboldt, middleton but definitely lc and SOMEBODY from west tn would be playing for the gold ball now it's somebody else from west tn.... as i have said on here many times there are still some teams that can and probaly WILL win from somewhere besides west tn !!!

FCS has scrimages and regular games with several AAA schools and also plays in the tournament at Disney World against some of the toughest competition around. Hopefully that will prepare them for a great season. Also scrimmaged a very good Hendersonville team last week and beat them while a few of their better players were still on the basketball court !

think they both will be playing for 3rd place behind friendship and gordonsville !

c-rep that's all they have to do... seriously they have had great programs for awile and it just got to where every county tried to improve more... and it starts in jr.high they are always in the tnt and other jr. tourney's then they play together from the time the can shoot a bball until they graduate from high school they play together as a team... great tradition with great results...

wrong again c-dawg... 1st of all i'm probaly old enough to change your diapers... second of all as i said on another post we maybe home but we OWNED ya'll's butts this year.. good look to who ever wins region 4 but remember culleoka could be right around the corner... on to baseball
