Anybody got any opinions???

We've played Clay 2 times this year and the last one was a pretty close game the 1st time we won by 23 at Clay. our coaches went to see Pickett play the other nite and said same Pickett team scrappy as all get and really get after you. Looking forward to the regions next week. Hopefully we will come to play this year.

So now does Jackson county beat Clarkrange ? I think the other one maybe to close to call but the way the 2 teams have been playing i think Pickett might have a slight advantage in a VERY close game. Looks like ya'll are going to have 2 really good nites of bball over there. See ya next week in W-town. AND GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL>

Don't see how you can look past anyone at this stage of the game. I watched the G'ville - Westmoreland game and thought G'vill just got outplayed and outcoached. How can you have a 6'6' post up against a 5"8' player and not get him the ball?

Couldn't disagree more 67vette Teeter is a very good and respected coach. Not making excuses but when you start 2 freshmen , 2 soph. and 1 jr. and have NO seniors on your team... I think this is definitly a rebuilding year as most teams in our district have LOTS of senoir leadership. I don't think this is the year for our district in girls anyway... the ONLY one that might win a game at region is G'ville and that is if they get by Westmoreland tonite and get the #1 seed.

not a fan of either team .... or of any person, just a comment .... i've seen siegel play a couple of times this year.... talented yes gifted yes out of control YES never seen a more undisciplined team great players are players who learn to play the game and leave the attitude and crying at home.... and to say coach harris is mild is ridiculous... he always getting on refs, the only ones he doesn't say much to are ramsey and oden, seems like he's scared of them... maybe if he wasn't and actually had control of them things like this wouldn't happen... i know alot of you are going to get mad at this post but i really don't care about AAA i'm just stating what things look like to people who come to see siegel play because they want to see good players... that was me i heard about how awesome this team was and wanted to see them, 1st game they acted horrible so i went to another and they acted worse.... so i am NOT biased, this is just one bball fans opinion... from what i've seen thinks he got what he deserves.

Well now we know what happened!!! Westmoreland beats Gordonsville 49-44 and FCS stops TC 51-42. Really 2 good games. I watched them both. Heard a lot of complaints about officiating [as usual] but didn't think it effected the out come of either game. It was called horrible both ways. Now for Friday nite... in the consolation game I'm taking G'ville over Trousdale by 11. G'ville's heighth advantage is tooooo much. In the championship game Friendship in a close one FCS by 7. I understand that defender but since FCS has won by an average of 21 in 3 games and TC had to go to OT with W-town last nite AND only scored 33 in a game + OT I just believe FCS has the edge in this one... guess we'll find out in a few hours.

welcome i know you wre asking about the other region but that will basically be our region format as well and if everything goes without upsets in our region should be Clay vs. FCS more later.

I think they will have to prove that ... they haven't played with FCS yet of course the districts could be different but I don't see how . I think friendships post will outplay g'ille's 1 big man because they have 3 guess we will see starting tonite

JW you are one of few people from the west who have kept it real on here... if you send a post on here Sat. i will give you times for our region They will be at Watertown straight down I-40 and take exit 239A. Look forward to someone actually seeing some teams from mid play. GOOD LUCK

Sounds like you know FCS bball pretty well... what about the other post..Mixson i think? all 3 about 6"4' you think they beat G'ville or Westmoreland bad?

CC evidently you haven't read all my post on here... I said district 14 IS without a doubt the toughest... BUT I've seen all these post about no one from east or mid stands a chance because west tn bball is soooooo much better... like I told you yesterday don't count your chickens before they hatch. You are not going to be playing in the "toughest" district in the state you are going to be playing the best in the WHOLE state and I just believe there are teams that can play just as good of bball as the teams from the west in the mid and east. Everyone from the west says it will be 2 teams from the west in the finals... I think that is BULL, I have already said I think 1 will be there but how can ya'll just dismiss teams like Cosby,Culleoka,Grace,Temple, Clay, Friendship ? To read your post these teams shouldn't be considered just because they don't play in the west... I also agree with another post... don't let your boyfriend convince you they [west ] are the only ones who can play tough bball!!!

Whumboldt most of us in mid are playing districts this week i only know our region will be played in Watertown next week and here are the teams and seeds District 7 1 Clay County 2 Jackson County 3 Pickett County 4 Clarkrange District 8 1 Friendship 2 Gordonsville 3 Westmoreland 4 Trousdale County That is the seedings as of now but these team will be playing tonite and Friday for seeding in the region.

c-rep isn't it nice how we in mid and east show genuine respect for each other... this whole2/3 of the state respects what other teams are doing... wish we could teach some of our neighbors to the west that same respect!! oh by the way ya'll are getting the same start we are getting our 1st round game is tonite also good luck

I still think Friendship can play with anyone. 25-3 and has beat the other district in our region [Clay County ] #1 seed twice. But as the other post says we will just have to wait 'til they play and see. Good Luck and hope to see ya in the 'boro!

Well it is now set with G'ville vs. Westmoreland & FCS vs. TC. here is how I see it playing out... G'ville will have a close game against Westmoreland West. is used to playing in big games and while this isn't their best team it is one that hangs around. If G'ville doesn't put this one away early their might be an upset. I'll still take G'ville by 7. FCS just seems to have it clicking right now but TC has the quickest point guard I've ever seen. If he can penetrate and Nelson has a great game it could be close. Alot of if's there though FCS by 11. In the championship I think there is no way G'ville handles the post of FCS. Budman I don't know where you saw 3 good post players I saw 1 BIG player that FCS worry down by playing post by commitee. FCS by 8 in the championship. C-ya in W-town!!

I am glad ya'll already got the gold ball so I guess we shouldn't even play the games... BUT since we have to we will see if you are still talking all this in a couple of weeks... OH YEAH notice a few post up M- tonn says they will stop you at regions ! I guess that's why we play the games ... on any given night...
