Not a good move to pitch Huff. Even if EH had won, they still had to beat Lipscomb again. Now Huff will not be at the top of his game come Monday.

Lipscomb's new seating area is the best field to watch a game. You can sit from dugout to dugout and see the whole field. Great music!

Taylor Merry RHP has signed the National Letter of Intent to play baseball for Lipscomb University. Congratulations Taylor

In a close game, the Lipscomb Mustangs won it's season opener beating AAA Hendersonville 2 to 1. The Mustangs were lead on the mound by senior Talyor Merry. In his first outing Merry went 5 innings, striking out 11 and walked 2, with only 1 earn run. The closer,"Wild Thing" Daniel Lyons finished the final 2 innings while not allowing any runs. A pleasent surprise was sophomore Kevin Davis who had 2 hits and a spectacular catch in center field. Senior Chris Baumgartner provided a critical bunt in the 7th to move the go ahead run to 3rd. A wild pitch allow Blake Nelley to steal home for the winning run. The Mustangs face Dickson County tomorrow, 3:30 at Lipscomb.

Nothing worst than to hear rap at the baseball field.

No I didn't say that ,you did. To make you happy lets broaden the playing field. Any player who has signed with a Div. I school or any player who might be drafted who goes JUCO or not. Sure there are good pitchers who sign with Div. II or NAIA schools, but thats not what this post is about. Why don't you do your own post for good pitchers who signed with Div. II or NAIA schools or those not smart enough to make it to college.

For those of you serious about playing college baseball buy this book. "Baseball Playing Outside The Lines" by Ray Lauenstein. Read it before you start your junior year in high school. I did..... and my son now plays Div. I baseball.
