I agree that the South Pitt boys were playing better than we expected, but you did not see all the Grace team is capable of. Grace won by 15. It was a fun game to watch.

Grace lost a lot more than Blake, but don't count out the Golden Eagles. It's early yet.

I will just point out, for whatever it's worth--and I admit it's not worth much--that Grace scored more against Mannassas than Temple was able to manage. It just gives this Grace fan a little bit of satisfaction.

Grace's Taylor Wilson got one for "flopping." This was on Wednesday.

Earlier on this thread, the word was that he was "throwing elbows." He apparently did it once and was warned, then continued the same behavior. Opinion seems to be mixed as to whether or not it was a technical worthy offense. With all the reportedly bad behavior, I am surprised he got Mr. Basketball, but I guess that decision is based on more than the tournament performance. He is clearly an impressive player.

I enjoyed watching them play today. They seem like a good bunch of kids with a lot of spunk.

The guys can beat whoever they need to beat. Frankly, though, I'm a little tired of Temple right now. When the Crusaders went to state and Grace didn't, I was all for them. But this time, I'd rather see Grace beat someone different.

(from Grace Baptist) I think it's kind of a shame. I have to admit I hope Temple gets beaten early on. It's not that I don't love my neighbor--I just can't stand it if they win this way.

I hadn't noticed that Pat didn't get any fouls. Very nice! Taylor Wilson was pretty impressive, as well. And Fuquan is always fun to watch. Overall, a fun game for Eagle fans. The whole team worked hard and made us proud. My best to the Clarkrange folks. Your guys played hard.

I remember noticing #10 when we played them at home. He seemed like a very solid player--was unflappable. We have great players at Grace and have made some very nice improvements, but I reckon Clarkrange hasn't been sitting still someplace. I say we need to be ready.

Thanks, I guess. It's always nice to win, but that wasn't Grace's best game, as I'm sure you know. The S. Pitt gym is a nice place, and the folks there are always welcoming.

It's a good thing "they don't expect to win the district," cause that show's over. However, I can't believe they don't expect--or at least hope--that they can win the region. --or are you referring to their expectations for next year? I think I misunderstood. 'Scuse me!

That "unruly student section" is not really unruly; they do follow basic rules. However, I for one would be very disappointed with them if they ever did "shush." They help make the game fun. The temple team seem to be a good bunch of guys, but it sure was nice to beat them last night. I was very proud of the Golden Eagles.
