  1. I was speaking of players that would commit..not sign...but commit sometime around july 1 when they can start talking to you...and there aint many of them thats why i figured if anyone it would be Cade or Mac because they both work extremely hard and are the best around in the junior class.... but there will be a lot of players sign before their senior year, simply because early signing is the new "thing". I have no clue who the kid is from Karns that is a Junior...I dont recall Karns having any great JRs. Sorry. Just my opinion. And any high school player that wants to play college baseball can find a spot...theres a place out there for everyone, you just gotta find it. And i'm talking about the kids that will work their butts off to get to the next level, regardless of skill. Skill is not as important to a college coach as work ethic.
  2. well in my opinion i like my catchers to catch 100% of the balls, not just 60%. /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  3. You.. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> My eyes are open on knowing the players but apprently not reading the boards..haha. i misread and thought that we were talking of players that would commit during their junior season...not in the signing period. But you will see almost anyone thats any good sign in the signing period. Players now-a-days like to sign early.
  4. haha cute..well i mean apparently you havent been around high school baseball if u dont know that people think hard throwers are better than pitchers...but why didnt you just name the thread BEST ARM AROUND THE STATE...that would've clearly been a better name. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  5. idk about perfect game stats.. ive seen some that are FAR FAR off from what they actually are. But hey good for this kid.
  6. No kid can come out after not playing for 4 years and be a stud. YOU ARE AN IDIOT! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  7. Oh i havent forgotten...I'm actually standing behind one of those teams..but im simply being a realist. I've been around this district closely for 5 years. The other teams in the district simply dont have enough firepower to beat karns or halls...maybe come time for the season to start and i actually get to start watching them then i will be able to make better predictions...but as of right now, its Halls and Karns at the top.
  8. did you not read who it was. It was Clark Kent aka Superman. I witnessed the 4.7 60...does it disqualify you if you fly through it? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Yes, that is a very good point..the kind of pitcher you have. and I would have to agree with you that accuracy is more important than your time.
  9. If we are talking about high school baseball...theres a certain date, not sure when, that you cannot reach the age of 19 before or else you are ineligible for TSSAA sports. The day is sometime in the beginning of the school year from August to September, i think, and if someone is 19 their junior year..that would make them ineligible. I believe this is correct but if anyone knows about it being incorrect, please help me out.
  10. Noe is a senior.. and question... are we talking about players who are juniors that are going to go on to play college baseball or are we talking about players who will commit during their junior season??
  11. I dont know about the boro but they've got my bid right now..before anything happens for the district if they can get past karns.
  12. well apparently ur just a freshman or havent been around baseball much..but in high school though i know you are correct and its a HUGE difference, people in high school think that the people that throw heat are the good pitchers. Just helping ya out! At the top is Sonny Gray and Matt Ramsey, both clocked at 96 i think. If you look at the thread, you wont see anyone clocked around 80 that can spot like a champ and keep people off balance. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  13. Gibson at Clinton? Nothing about him in their write up.
  14. numbers look good..but catching is one of the things that numbers dont really matter (at least when u get around to throwing a 2.0 and below) It's all in the mind and lots of high school catchers i see are not mentally tough enough to be catching.
  15. I know its early and I see Halls/Karns in the top two...its gonna be tough...when do they play each other? early or late in the season?
  16. thats the best way to play..back-to-back district...otherwise teams can have just one pitcher and have a chance. It's making sure theres not one kid who throws 90 on a team full of middle schoolers.
  17. Maybe Cade Stallings and Mac Thoreson (sp) from Farragut..other than that...there arent many in East TN or at least around Knox.
  18. just check out the top pitchers thread.
  19. Ryan Wilson, goalie, from Oak Ridge got all state last year as a sophomore. I'd say he is a good pick.
  20. 19 yr old jr? that means he is ineligible...or maybe he makes the cut..but means he is inelgible his senior year. It is good to be getting these guys a thread, but that could be demeaning to some of there self esteems..its kind of like saying your the best player that stinks.
  21. AAA- Jared Stephens from Oak Ridge. Carries an Oak Ridge team. Great ball handling skills and sees the whole court. Good range from 3 and can play in the paint with the big men. Though being a smaller guy, he can jump outta the gym!!! AA- James Gallman A- MJ Brown
  22. I didnt know Barlett or Smyrna were in 4AAA...is that really good team i read about from New York in it as well? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  23. I dont know if coalfield will win district because i dont follow this particular district...however i do know things about there players.... the only decent pitcher they have is the older key...he does a good job keeping kids off balance...beat halls and karns last year maybe?? not quite sure on those...other than that...the other kids are average high school pitchers at best. it may very well be coalfield and rockwood in the championship...but i see coalfields season ending there...they dont have the fire power to put out a team like rockwood having played with a bunch of there guys on competitive teams in the summer. However, good luck to both teams..it is baseball and sometimes some crazy things happen. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  24. I dont think this will be a region preview....dont get me wrong Farragut is a good team but from watching Maryville and hearing about Bearden...I dont know if Farragut gets to regionals...I could see them beating Bearden..but idk about Maryville. Just my opinion though.
  25. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 those will be a combination of the following Halls, Karns, Powell, Oak Ridge, West, Clinton, Central, and Campbell Co. The reason i put it like this is because district 3AAA has some of the craziest things happen when it comes down to district games. You can go winless in the regular season but if you win the right games come tourney time then you've got it made!! Thats how this district always is. You will have to wait till the tourney comes around to find out who ranks where.
