  1. We have NCS today and tomorrow. We're 4-3 right now, winning 4 of our last 5, and it's the first time in school history being over .500. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but to those of us who have been here for the past 5 years, it's been a long process. Good luck to everyone this week.
  2. Well, we split with Houston Co. after today's game. We lost yesterday 12-5 in an error-filled game on our part. We came back today and won 5-2 and played solid defense. They're a pretty good ball team, but I would say they're down compared to past years. They're still a very competitive team.
  3. WHH went 2-0 in varsity play this weekend beating Kenwood 3-0 and Northeast 5-4. Our defense and pitching was great, and our bats came through when we needed them. Our JV guys beat Springfield 7-5 on friday. We go to Houston Co. on monday. Has anyone heard anything about them?
  4. Our JV played Springfield today, but I'm not sure of the score because I had to work. We play Kenwood in the afternoon, and Northeast once it gets dark n really cold. We go to Houston Co. on Monday.
  5. Hoop, I saw the line score in the Tennessean for the Northwest game. Did Clinard throw a no-no or was it a perfect game?? Congrats to him regardless. Who do yall play in the tourney this weekend?
  6. We went to USN today and lost 6-4. We put up our 4 in the 1st before they even got a chance to hit. Pitching was great with Hill on the mound, but in the 4th or 5th, we had 3 consecutive plays where our defense had some brainfarts n we gave up 5. Overall, it was a really good game, and we play Middle TN Christian tomorrow. We're definitely looking to rebound after we played that hard n had it slip away.
  7. We played USN twice last year, and BJ threw both games. Both games were shutouts. We've got them on monday to open up the season. Who is everyone else playing to open up?
  8. You'll find out at 4 pm.
  9. We've got everybody outta basketball and have been on the field as much as possible.
  10. Yeah, it should be interesting to see how the district shakes out this year. I'm not gonna pick anyone because I haven't seen anyone other than the guys I've practiced with. We'll see how things go.
  11. JR you shoulda been @ the Jo Byrns game.. Carlisle was still stuck on 499 at the time n we let him know what we thought about it at the end of the game.. it was quite amusing. We're 5-2 right now w/East Rob. next week. They're startin pretty slow but they pick it up as the game goes on, which is fine as long as we come out w/the W. Our guys are definitely a tough play in our district. East Lit. could also be a sleeper, they're big. There's at least 3 guys 6'4 or better.
  12. No worries, Slagle. We took care of business 53-43. On top of that, the gym was silenced by the traditional na-na-na-na chant & posters that read like so: Uniforms: $175 Shoes: $100 Basketball: $60 Carlisle stuck at 499: PRICELESS two words: simply amazing
  13. I don't know how many of you have ever heard of White House, but if you're ever in town and WH-Heritage is playing Jo Byrns, you'll see one of the most heated rivalries. Without a doubt, it is one of the top 3 rivalries in Robertson Co. with the other two being East Robertson vs. WHH & Jo Byrns vs. East Robertson.
  14. Personally, I don't see Carlisle getting it because I know how packed and rowdy our stands will be, not to mention our guys being hyped about it. Jo Byrns is 0-10 since Carlisle got 499.. What do yall think?
  15. WHH vs. anybody might be a stretch, but yeah, we have a hard-nosed basketball team. Our top two rivalries are definitely East Robertson & Jo Byrns. I can't wait for next tuesday when the devils come out of their dungeon or w/e yall call it up there. We'll definitely have our place rockin all 4 quarters.
  16. 1A: Friendship (too much talent @ TB) 2A: Goodpasture (revenge is on their mind) 3A: Fulton (this one could go either way, but this sounds good) 4A: Maryville (c'mon, they've won 44 straight) 5A: Ravenwood (too much momentum for Smyrna)
  17. You know I'd love to see it happen. This town would be nuts if it happened. It happened for basketball and volleyball last year, but that's not the sport our town thrives on from week to week, which is unfortunate. Both schools are competitors in basketball. I'm sure Coach Brown & his staff wouldn't mind, but as far as the AD goes, I don't know.
  18. Why don't we worry about crowning the 2006 1A champ first?
  19. Guess that spanking by Pearl-Cohn & Station Camp wasn't enough for them.
  20. Alright, we all finally got the match-up we all knew would happen once the time passed. The winner of this game, in my opinion, will go to the title game. JBS has a tenacious defense, but finally showed they bend a little bit last week. MTP has a Mr. Football Finalist. They say offense wins games, but defense wins championships. I'm gonna stick to the saying. JBS: 21 MTP: 20
  21. I agree with MTP's win but JBS will beat C-wood. They really don't have much hope. Dixon & their other 2 running backs are decent, but the JBS defense is too tenacious for C-wood to overcome.
  22. Ya know what would solve this?? a WH vs. WHH game, but that's not on the schedule.. I know they have played in the past, but there should be a non-district game @ each place.. could you imagine how crazy this town would be by the end of the night, much less the gym.. but that's besides the point.. Hill is the better shooter. Don't like my opinion, DEAL WITH IT. Truth hurts.
  23. C-wood, as tough as yall may play, you really don't realize what you're getting yourself into. JBS is undefeated, recorded 4 shutouts in 5 games, most of which their 2nd and 3rd string played the 2nd half, AND have only allowed 53 points in 11 games. Get over yourselves. How can you even think you're gonna put up enough to beat them, unless it's 3-2?? JBS rolls in this game & looks forward to the showdown w/MTP next week.
  24. We're a public school. White House got overcrowded about 5 or 6 years ago so they had to break things off by counties. 31W divides the city in half with Sumner Co. on one side & Robertson Co. on the other. We're the Robertson side of things.
  25. Uhh JR, I'm pretty sure that was one leg at the time. Let's GO to the Wood & make it burn (this week). Meet JBS next week. I think that went one leg at a time. Just buggin ya man, because I have nothing better to do during school.
