  1. hows it gonna go tonight...CBHS and MUS
  2. CBHS is 4-0 against MUS this year the closest being 9-3 not to mention MUS has to win twice, they have to win to force another game, and I just don't see that being very likely.
  3. CBHS has all of that, everything that BGA has, plus a BCA National Field of the year under their belt.
  4. Packer plays for CBHS in Div II, despite being in DII they do play a pretty tough schedule, and his strikeouts have been against some quality teams.
  5. matt packer has 105 ks in 43 innings pitched......2.46 ks per inning
  6. REALLY REALLY good game. Kinda a friendly rivalry between the two. CBHS jumped out early with 4 runs in the first, then was pretty quite until the 5th i believe when they tacked on another. Houston never gave up though, they scratched and clawed their way back in it and with 1 out in the top of the 7th they were down 5-2 with runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. Packer came in and got a ground out and a strike out, while both of the runners ended up scoring to make it 5-4. Great game from both sides.
  7. I've noticed that there is not many Memphis people on this board which is why i refrain from posting things like that...as of right now I would have to say CBHS is playing some of the best ball in the state but are not unbeatable. Most of the people that use this board are from middle or east tn and if they are from the west they exclude memphis from the west somehow or another. Don't let that get to you, CBHS's record and ability will earn them the recognition they deserve, beside it doesnt matter on this board, it only matter if you win the last game.
  8. He's averaging right around 15 Ks per game... im not exactly sure of that avg, but im trying to find out and wondering if there is a record for that?
  9. Packer is going to the university of virginia
  10. you probably have them by now, but just in case...CBHS 5 St. Benedict 0......MUS 6 St. George's 0
  11. Anyone know the final for cbhs and briarcrest?
  12. Without looking the rule up, i believe TECHNICALLY yes you do have to list your subs for them to be legal. But in MOST cases especially between teams and coaches that meet alot on the field it isnt that big of a deal.
  13. Just looking for a lil coverage on the BGA invitational...i know cbhs beat bga 7-1 but other than that i dont have much...someone up there keep me posted.
  14. im pretty sure you get that strikeout, actually im about 100% sure.
  15. it acttually doesnt have to tie the record, theoretically you could strike out 8, 9, or more innings worth...i guess it would have to stop at 10 due to tssaa rules but extra inning strikeouts would count.
  16. Not sure how accurate this is, but i have a feeling its close.....http://tbca.org/TBR%20State%20Record%20Book.htm#MOST%20STRIKEOUTS heck of a game for minor, i know matt packer struck out 20 for CBHS in their 7-1 win at BGA but 21 is that much better. congrats to him
  17. if they are a private school in DI that means they dont give financial aid which makes them a DI school. There is recruiting everywhere you go, but ill agree most private school facilities are better. (note i said most not all) By the way, the biggest recruiting operation i have ever seen was at germantown high school about 5 years ago and if you dont know what im talking about your really missing on a good laugh. Recruiting or some form of goes on EVERYWHERE, theres no stopping it, but i guess seperating the schools lets public school people sleep better knowing they dont have to compete with some of the best to win a championship.
  18. your telling me you know NOTHING about CBHS at all...do you know what the HS stands for? its 9-12, and why would we do that in the first place? not to mention CBHS slaughted munford 2 games back to back. The only way i would put money against CBHS against a covington is if i was getting maybe 50 to 1 or so.( i realize jv and varisty are two different worlds...but CBHS JV dropped Covington's JV 14-3) You dont know enough to present an argument...i never said yall were bad, but the thread is called dominant teams in TN, right now CBHS is ranked #1 on the tennessee baseball report poll (USJ does not appear in the top 10) and ranked #37 nationally (again no sign of USJ) so you can decide...
  19. lol, read the rest of his posts....he is justifying their ranking...not cheering
  20. i didnt say they werent capable but if i were making bets it wouldnt be on gtown, and i like the use of excuses for the loss to munford.
  21. USJ also lost to munford and germantown. G-town is decent but munford is WAY down this year
  22. CBHS has run ruled teams in 8 of their 16 wins, while their record stands at 16-1 and while that lone loss was a 6-5 heartbreaker to kentucky powerhouse lexington catholic.
