  1. Monkey wrench, rather than typing out every detail in regards to nutrition and weight lifting, I'd love to talk to you in detail about things...I worked with ut's athletic dept. for 4 years and my major was sport management and sport nutrition...email tsadler1788@yahoo.com
  2. Ncsdad, truthfully it all comes down to nutrition and becoming a workout warrior...in working with coach Crosby, his workouts are very limited in regards to building muscle mass...of course as you know the weight room is a bit limiting in regards to size to really get after it, so I'd def. look into a supplements such as weight gainer, a whey-isolate based protein, and even a legal test booster which would enhance his appetite and ability to pour more into the gym...then I'd highly recommend a diet at a minimum of 3500 calories...that should show great results as long as he puts the effort into the gym
  3. As I've previously stated I have a strong passion for NCS, and to rehash a few previous posts. Art, I can't stand ppl like you that would sit there and stir up so much and then once being called out on it, sit there and give some "PC" response. Just own the fact that you've made yourself look like an idiot and even worse jaded the perspective of others in regards to looking at NCS as a program and there fan base. I'd never wish a loss on or for NCS, but reading some of your so called facts about other teams and their programs, almost makes me wish you'd eat your own words sooner than later. Just kindly shut up and stop giving such a negative reflection to our NCS fan base
  4. I vote for art as the sacrificial lamb as well, maybe then we will finally be able to stop reading his bs
  5. First, I must say, I'm excited with the progression and new success that NC has shown over the last 2 to 3 years. As an alumni of NC I find myself checking the Tennesseean boxscores every Saturday and occasionally peak in on the coacht forums to gain any additional insight to their team and 10A in general. However, I must say...after assisting with their baseball program and also with their strength and conditioning program the last two years with coach Crosby, there are not SEC caliber players at NC at this time. I admit there are quality players and size that NC has not had since the Keeton days in the late 90's but to think these young kids are SEC talent is a bit far fetch. There are many players of such talent sprinkled throughout all of Tennessee high school football, they just happen to stick out in a class A. I'm not saying these athletes are not good but they have a lot of work to get to the SEC and to receive a "committable" offer. As to the argument of private vs public, I was a big advocate for NC to jump to d2 when the likes of Davidson, ezell, etc did so. To all that are unaware, NC will never compete financially with those or any private school for that matter and b/c of that I highly doubt NC will ever move to d2. I agree that there should be a separation of private vs public, I do think it is a competitive advantage that private schools can inherit transfer students or new kids and tremendously upgrade their athletic teams. However, this has occurred for years and NC had not ever been as successful. I have to give coach brothers and his staff credit for the preparation and determination to build a successful blueprint at a school that has not been relevant for years. I know some will still say these kids miraculously showed up and it's a bit fishy but I can speak from firsthand knowledge that, coach brothers is doing no wrong but more importantly making NC a viable option for higher education in the Bellevue area by reaching out in many ways such as open houses and great summer sport camps and a tremendous effort in the admissions dept. to reach out to perspective students. That's my spill after biting my tongue for soo long
  6. I totally agree with finding a coach to instill discipline and a love for the game. I played for NCS when we were nothing more than a cake walk, but after Coach Anderson came and showed it was his way or the highway kid's got interested in ball. As history shows, NCS has now won 4 district season titles and multiple sub-state appearences. I give tons of credit to Coach Fruc, to take over where Coach Anderson left off with intense scheduling and really putting NCS on the map as a top tier baseball team. Once again I cant agree more with the idea of the feeder system. Granted NCS has the oppurtunity to have kid's transfer and help out (i.e. Darren King, Jarrett Anderson, etc,) but it was the desire for the kid's to achieve greatness additionally with the success we have had over the last 5 years that has really helped continue successful senior class after senior class. My senior year Wesley McDowell stepped up then Darren King, now Woody and Cody Hartley. As long as we keep feeding the system and with great coaching NCS should be a competitive team. With all that being said I must applaud district 10a from where it has came from. From the early 2000's it was a district with one decent team: Davidson, and now there are multiple teams stepping up.( i.e. East Robertson, Jo Byrns, CA, and NCS) but this is not to recognize the strides of other teams. Either way I will always have fond memories of stepping on the field representing 10a. Good luck to all teams, but with slight bias GO EAGLES!!!
  7. The match-ups are set and I don't see any first round upsets this post-season. Typically 10a is noted for first round upsets but I just don't see east robertson, jo byrns, or ncs falling to the lower seeds. If any of those three match-ups were to produce an upset I see it with east lit because pitching wins championships and of mcewen, houston, and east lit...they have the best pitcher. Although I believe that ncs has to much depth and will overcome a potential scare. As for WHH and Clarksville, clarksville has made alot of progress within the last few years and I am cheering for clarksville but I dont see them beating WHH. Second round seeing that east robertson is going to save clinard for jo byrns, provided that they beat houston will beat jo byrns in a low scoring affair because i am going to assume holman will be saved for jo byrns but i see east winning. NCS will avenge the biggest surprise series of the season and handle WHH. Leaving jo byrns to beat WHH in the elimination game where I see them playing east in a re-match of last year's district championship advancing game. I see NCS beating east because they will not have clinard availble or on short rest after pitching against jo byrns. I predict east perservering again over jo byrns because clinard will be back to pitch against jo byrns again and then finally NCS taking the championship with east robertson and NCS representing 10a again. those are my predictions...what does everyone else think??
  8. so with districts beginning real soon.. who has the best chance to take districts or to at least advance to regions?? it appears as though there are 3 front runners in east, jo byrns, and ncs but who has the best match-ups going into the tourney? by the way... what happened to houston co. they used to be very competitive and looking at there stats... weak sauce...they dont look good at all. and reading over previous posts i believe that east lit is one of the better teams in district when that lefty pitches but after that the depth is very thin. i have to say despite not seeing any games this year im very impressed with jo byrns' record. i honestly didnt think yall had much after everyone graduated tuck, but nonetheless good job jo byrns. based on what i recall everyone having i belive though that our 10a district representatives in region will be east robertson and ncs. solely based on what i know everyone has. bleeding the orange and blue though i hope ncs takes it all the way but without any bias good luck to everyone with districts....
  9. To anyone who cares to reply. This is the first time I have even looked at any posts from coacht since graduating last year. Most of you should know I played for NCS last year, lead off and played 2nd. Nonetheless that is irrelevent. I have heard very little about 10a this year because I havent had the oppurtnity to keep up with anyone even NCS. I know speaking on my own be half it appears that NCS is having an under achieving season because by the standards that we made I personally think this year's team should have been better than lasts but perhaps because of coaching changes and other things it has become a developing year. I gurentee this though after reading a few posts AND THIS IS NO SHOT AT THE NEW COACH. I cannot believe this team is better off w/out coach anderson. one person mentioned there are the best fundamentally sound team, well thats because of coach anderson. sure he upset some ppl off but he was an incrediable coach. I believe this new coach can be good but most of to any success this year comes from him inheriting what was already a sound team. Saying all this...how is every team doing this year?? I would like to hear from a representative from each team and not tuck's or hoop's opinion of how everyone is doing...no offense guys but most of last season was pointing fingers and name calling...anyways good luck to everyone and i hope to hear from some of ya...
  10. ncs should take it next year....congrats wes on all-mid state 3rd team
  11. i dont know how well ncs will be this year...last year was supposed to be our year but one key injury and wow.....i wouldnt be sooo sure about jo byrns just taking region...i mean dont get me wrong they'll be good but you just replace clay....the defense can only be sooooo good...but the offense has to score at some point....and you just cant hand it off to colten all the time....anyways i dont know if ncs will be horrible or decent if they can get a decent line i think they can compete...MAYBE

    2007 Standouts

nashville christian should make some noise again next year...they are returning 6 of 9 starters from the field and bringing back the entire pitching staff except for one......losing a total of 6 seniors but only 3 started....also the core of the team being sophmores only get one year older and more experienced...provided that they can have 2 or 3 players step up will decide if they are capable of going to state...
  13. be gracious winners??? lovethoserockets....yall are a real fine bunch to talk about being gracious and sportsmanlike...yall are as a team the most arrogant/cocky team ive seen...if yall would have won, everyone would have heard bout yalls win and how great minor is.....well im just glad yall didnt win where none of us have to hear about it...and no one cares if he has lost velocity or not...unearned or earned all anyone has heard from yall is that he throws no hitters and that next to God he is the next best thing...congrats to mckenzie and even though i was pulling for a mid-state team to win..im real glad it wasnt forrest
  14. i want to know the score of yalls game as soon as yall are done but ncs won tonite 3-1
  15. after reading what voldad has said i agree 100% on the fact that people who have made it this far deserve to be here....but taking what he said a little further i dont believe anyone is overlooking anyone especially from the ncs side of things...i mean lets call it how it is...we havent been or had this good of a season in forever...yea last year we went to regions but we had a very little shot in beating goodpasture...this year we are all one year older and more experienced but not to where we are overlooking anyone...i know cascade is a good team....all you have to do is look at how have they have played to tough competition....i also understand that forrest is a good solid team in every aspect....so i believe that both games should be competitive and there shouldnt just be a blow out...but no one is overlooking anyone....
