Hate to see the season end this early but you don't have anything to hang your heads about, you have a fun and exciting team to watch play.

"Anyone's game at the 3 minute mark" You're correct and that is when the bogus calls started, all when we were on offense; double dribble on a rebound, a phantom push when jet player on the way to score and then the best one, we box out get the offensive rebound WV player reaches over and grabs the ball, a jump ball right? No possession arrow was to the jets so they called a foul on us!! Now how bout we take a look at the other threads about refs being accountable , these guys didn't even hide it. O well, what's done is done. Good luck to walker valley in future games.

Yes. Game was 4 point with 2:30 to go in 4th when refs suddenly started calling silly fouls turning ball back over to wv 4 straight trips down court. Very blatant in my opinion.

What about rotating the regionals and sectionals each year. I've been watching hs basketball for 10 years and you have to play the same teams year in and year out. What about teams from west play the stacked Murfreesboro teams before the state tournament, mix it up a little and not always have to play same team to get to state. Everyone knows in girls basketball, you have to play Blackman, river dale or Oakland, depending on what team they stack each year and it will be last game of season. Even though region 3 had 2 or 3 good teams and where probably better than most teams that made it to state, they didn't have a chance because of the same schedule every single year

I don't think that this was a flagrant foul nor do I believe it happened out of frustration, It was still, at that point a relatively close game in the first half. The play that I saw was clearly from an over zealous defensive player running up to press the inbounds play and got to close and when the Lady Jet player turn to clear the defense (as every player is instructed to do from grade school up)with ball tucked and elbows under chin, the bearette girls face was on the players shoulder and was struck. If you are coing to play "get in their shorts defense" contact is going to happen. I am deeply sorry for what transpired and I know the lady Jet player feels worse than anyone can know and if you new this girl personally, then you would know for a fact that there was no malicous intent for harm and you folks would not be dragging her name through the mud like this. Please stop doing so and close this post

Blue Angel, I am happy to report that this is no longer the rumor, it is confirmed, she accepted the position Monday. WOO HOO!!!! I am happy that she has finally decided to come home where she belongs....wish she would have made this decision a few years ago instead of going to Gallatin. GOOD LUCK COACH MILLER!!!!

I know that this is kinda late in the game, but 2 girls from the Upper Cumberland area are looking for a team to play with this summer. 1 is a point guard and the other is a wing that can play a littl post if needed. Both girls are 1st team all district. If you have a couple of openings, let us know.

Don't feel singled out in you district, it is all over the state. I haven't seen a game all year that was called fairly either way. I don't think they call the walk in girls HS ball anymore and you can forget about the 3 second violation, kids can not onlyhave lunch but dinner too in the lane and not get called. It's terrible all over, I saw a ref the other night looking at his watch and then score board the whole game, like he didn't even want to be there.

Walker valley is a very good team, they are very quick and are a great 3 point shooting team. They will bring the pressurre and won't quit until the final buzzer. Just be careful of the other 3 with striped shirts on the floor, they tend to be a great help to the Cleveland area teams.

I wish the Blackman team good luck.......you will need it with the lopsided reffing in the Cleveland area!!

Congrats to Coach Miller, Gallatin is getting and awesome coach. Not only is she a great coach but she is a pure teacher of the game. Her system will definitely have the girls in shape and have an exciting style to watch. Good luck coach Miller, you will be greatly missed in Cumberland county.
