  1. Wilkinson in still there. He is in his senior year. punt returner and receiver. #22. If huntland can move the ball it will be a great game. heard some good things about Whitwell but i know some good things about Huntland. Defense has been great and offense has been descent. 2 good backs and a great line. i dont know much about whitwell but from what i hear it will be a great showdown over the mountain. good luck to both teams. i have no predictions.
  2. Hornets O-LINE and pass rush will carry them to a 3-0 start for the 1st time in a few years. GO HORNETS. Hornets-27 Bulldogs-13
  3. this is what i love about baseball..no matter the record anyone can show up and win. but the best is a big ? CA on paper is probly at the top, but Moore County beat them and Richland..but Richland and CA both have beat C'ville, Santa fe and Cully who has beat MC and MC beat Huntland but Huntland has beat C'ville 2 times and Cully and Santa fe once..its all about which team shows up. the tourny will be very exciting to see.

    Signees?

    Travis Ashley-Huntland-Alabama A&M
  5. MC and Huntland tonight. 1 run game last time. i think this rivalry will go the distance. who comes out on top?
  6. lol. how about school nicknames..the best ive heard is the Webb Feet..the mascot is a sneaker. lol
  7. seems like the rainy wether has everyone down..lets hear some predictions on somethin. hopin for good wether next week. whats on everybodys mind about some of the makeup games
  8. I know the Huntland MTCS game has been moved from Eagleville to Blackman and its at 5...wont know anything else til tonight
  9. Jonathon Reese from Lincoln County has great arm, great blocking ability, and hits the ball very well..won the batting award at the vandy summer camp this past year i believe
  10. MC has improved alot,,they're definately not the MC they were last year, but nobody has REALLY got the groove in their bats yet. this year is setting up to be very competitive in 11A and it will come down to defense and pitching in the end. Everybody has a couple of good guys for the mound, but who has the relievers when it comes tourny time.
  11. honestly i think every district game could be a matchup of the week. i know huntland has richland monday and MC tuesday. CA isnt THAT far ahead of everybody. Lat year it was Richland all the way..a little closer battle i belive this year
  12. Glad to hear Bassham is back! and as for the CA-Huntland game, i dont know what happened to Huntland. They had an off night. Several errors in the field. Ashley threw for the Hornets and threw fairly well. He went 4 and 2/3 innings and CA had about 2 or 3 earned runs on him..like i said, several errors in the field AND a pair of walks. Ayers threw well for CA. Both guys had to deal with the umpire who wasnt consistant at all. Hope the Hornets bounce back. they're better than what they showed, but CA is definately a front runner.
  13. Huntland and CA play tonight in Huntland. any predictions? since williams threw for Huntland i believe ashley will throw tonight..he's had a sore shoulder but LOOKS to be ready. Ayers is most likely gonna throw for CA so it will be a pretty even pitching matchup. what do ya'll think?
  14. Lincoln County is my prediction to get through regionals from this district..most of them started last year when they went to state and they know what its like being there. good luck falcons
  15. lincoln county is returning a whole lot after makin the state tournament last year..only lost 1 big impact player in brian sharp..ace matt sharp returns and they have alot of offense with reese, glover, blake sharpe,amos..the whole lineup can swing the bat. good luck falcons
  16. huntland possibly Ashley/Williams,Robertson,Bradley
  17. DEFINATELY dont count santa fe out..they are alot better than people see them to be. you gotta understand that just because a team doesnt win 1 year doesnt mean they wont the next. they have alot of talent returning and i pick them as the sleeper this year.
  18. Travis talked to him at the basketball game at Cornersville and said Chuck told him he would miss a week at most but other than that said he was doin good and runnin a bit here and there. hope he dont miss anything. he's a good kid with alot of talent.
  19. Huntland is definately in the same boat. with only 4 returning starters there are alot of questions yet to be answered. Only 3 seniors..Huntland always lacks a leader and intensity. their basketball team has much improved on those 2 game changing factors so maybe their baseball team will too. Cully lost their ace and most of their heavy hitters and so did Richland. I talked to a guy from Moore County and he tells me they're excited about their new coach but they're short on talent. Cornersville has a leader in Bassham and im sure their talent will come in. A good year for district 11. see ya'll at the ballpark and good luck to all
  20. yeah it was unbelievable to me too..i havent seen it..its just what i heard so im not sure...but dawgpride is right too..i think the only guy i seen throw for CA other than Workman was a lefty and he wasnt anywhere near the talent level as workman,,but there are only a handful of people in the district that have an impact on a team like he does
  21. containing to the topic,,i wondered off about the ptciher,,but i think CA is the best overall on paper..alot of young talent comin up for alot of teams. good luck to all
  22. he only lost maybe 3 games out of about 7 or 8 pitched..usually goes the distance. doesnt walk alot of people. he throws low 80's and pitches to contact,,keeps it low and a descent changeup. and he batted 417 last year so he's got a pretty good swing.
  23. a&m has had a baseball team and they must see somethin in him. he has been in the startin rotation for 3 years and has alot of experience. the kids name is Travis Ashley. i think he's more with a bat and at 1st base than he is a pitcher, but a&m has talked to him and asked if he was interested
  24. looks like its gonna be a competitive year..everyone looks pretty equal..i knoe c'ville and huntland lost the aces on the mound last year but word is the new ace for Huntland is verbally committed at Alabama A&M..he's the lefty and they have a good sophomore who threw alot last year..c'ville has goot talent with Bassham missin maybe the 1st week for his knee and several good pitchers and i heard a rumor of a freshman from Richland last year hittin the 90's and they have Parsons..and Workman for CA who is committed to Columbia State..looks to be a good year
  25. AMAZING GAME!! And believe it or not,Huntland played awful. they were down by 11 at one point but fought back and proved everyone wrong. congrats to Jonah Bradley on a 3 ball with 0.3 seconds on the clock in the 4th. shot.....buzzer.......nuthin but net...Huntland looks a bit like them ol Spartans at Michigan State! /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> hats off to coach mcgill..the biggest difference in this years huntland team and last years is 1 word...INTENSITY
