The 'View is definitely making a statement. By the way they have been playing lately, no one in the district can beat them. They have three great seniors that do a good job of leading this team. Then they have a junior that has been playing exceptionally well. They have a great sophomore class that has some of the top players on the team. Then they have a couple freshman who have done some great things for the team as well. Their two pitchers (one freshman and one sophomore) have had an amazing year!! Both have ERAs less than 1. That's pretty incredible. They keep this play up and they will make it to the state tournament again with no problem. People state that Coach Henson should get the coach of the year(yes he has done a good job making Gibson Co a competing team now)....but what about Coach Suiter? He has only been at the school for four years....his first year he took them to the region tournament for the first time in like ten years, his third year he took them to the state tournament for the first time in school history, and then his fourth year they win the district and have a good chance of making the state tournament again. A pretty good coach if you ask me! Good luck to the 'View the rest of the season!

Westview beat Dyer Co today 10-0. Westview dominated the whole game.

Westview has not really played anyone?? They tied TCA...the two time defending class A champion...0-0. They have also played some other top quality teams as well. They have the same pitcher who many of the teams in the district could barely even hit last year and who led the Lady Chargers to the state tournament. They only lost two starters from last year's team and they made it to the state tournament. Please tell me why Westview doesn't have a chance this year??

So who all made All-District and All-District Tournament??

Two more sophomores to name are Amber Rechis and Grace Ann Swaim from Westview. According to the Jackson Sun this morning...Rechis surpass 1,000 career points last night. Congrats!!

JB Suiter from Westview. I am from the west tennessee area and am a fan of a team in their region and what they have accomplished this year is incredible. He led his team to region for the first time in ten years his first year there and then this year coached them to the school's first ever state tournament. He has done all of this in only three years being at this school. They really impressed me in their region game against Haywood!

Westview High School has a good freshman pitcher in Shanna Chappell. She has over 200 strikeouts. She had 10 in their game against a good hitting team Covington in their game against them on Wednesday. She probably throws in the high 50s.

Only the teams that finish first and second in the district tournament will advance to the regional. The only thing that finishing first in the district during the season does is give you the number one seed for the tournament.

Gibson Co put out Obion. Dyer Co put out Crockett. Milan put out Gibson. Monday night Milan and Dyersburg play. The winner of that game will play Dyer Co. The winner of that game will then go on to play Westview in the championship game on tuesday night. Westview is automatically in regions and is waiting to see who they will play in the championship game. There has been some great ball games in this tournament.

Some good games were played on the first night. TCA got beat by Westview. Ballard beat Huntingdon. Bolton beat Huntingdon and Milan. Some good softball played the first day. It is a very good tournament.

Um good prediction but the game has already been played.

Number 32 or something like that from Dyer Co was also on all district

With the loss of Higgs, many people weren't sure about them. They have proved that they are still going to compete. Rechis and Owens are stepping up and taking charge. They beat an athletic Dyer Co team tonight by 25 or 30, and Rechis had 29 points! AND she is only a FRESHMAN!!! This was a confidence booster for Westview. What do you think about the rest of their season? How will they finish it?
