  1. And then they talk about how good their 401k is doing now. What the heck is a 401K anyway? If it's not some new assault rifle, who the heck needs one? I think this might be what they are talking about, those un-American pinko wimps -
  2. This is the first thing those tree-hugging feminist wimps always bring up. As if job growth was such a good thing. If you apply for a hundred, maybe 150 jobs before you get one instead of the jobs just being there, you can appreciate having one more.
  3. I'm right there with ya, fellow right wing fundamentalist. You hear those tree-hugging whiners nit-picking about "W" as if THEY never messed anything up. They talk about the stock market losing half it's value on his watch, the housing market collapse, invading a nation that had no WMDs, unemployment that went from 4% to 8% his last year in office, and all that other stuff. OK. So? And? That's what's wrong with people. They can't handle a little adversity. They just need to get tougher. "W" was doing them a favor with all that stuff that happened. You can't fully appreciate better times unless somebody does you a favor and has some stuff happen to help you understand that. Thank you, "W" for helping us appreciate what we had, lost, now have again.
  4. You would get a kick out of some of the posts in the "are kids soft" thread.
  5. Being a far-right fundamentalist means never having to say "sorry." (On the contrary, bonus points for offending and being divisive)
  6. You forgot to blame Obama. Everything is always his fault. When in doubt, blame Obama. (and all those other things: video games, MTV, gay marriage certificates, etc. - you can never have too many boogie-men to blame things on) And don't forget to play both sides of the "intellectualism" fence. Tell people to go get more educated when it's convenient to do so while never forgetting the option always exists to scapegoat the higher educated in society as "those darn intellectual elite s.o.b's" The best thing about being a far-right fundamentalist tea-party patriot is that hypocrisy is a plus. Use it often.
  7. Part of the problem is that us good wholesome upstanding respectable far-right fundamentalist Americans are only allowed to beat our own kids. If we beat somebody else's kids who need a good beat-down and haven't been getting one at home, the jack-booted thugs from Washington will confiscate our gun and bible before hauling us into a court presided over by some feminist activist judge who looks like Nancy Pelosi. I blame Obama more than anything. There was never any problems in the world until Obama.
  8. The bracket is small potatoes compared to what is happening to the America I grew up in. As a staunch right-wing fundamentalist, I'm much more concerned with finding scapegoats to blame for everything than whatever happens with some trivial bracket thing. My favorite scapegoats are: health care for the less fortunate diversity Hollywood (especially MTV) video games anybody who doesn't look like me
  9. Tell the T$$AA. They're the ones with dozens of teams with losing records in the playoffs this year. I wonder how many of those losing record playoff teams had a pep rally today to celebrate their playoff game tonight? In China you would be sent to a hard labor prison camp for making the playoffs with a losing record.
  10. More frequent and severe @ss beatings for kids is the answer. When they are being bad, give 'em one they'll remember. Even if they are not being bad, give 'em one anyway just in case they were bad when you weren't looking. If you don't do this, you are the reason for all the problems in the world. Just like the hockey fans chant: "you s-ck, it's all your fault."
  11. They needed to have the preacher paint the bus red to drive the team and then back to white for the summer snake handling revival shows. Just like Strap said in Hoosiers. Norman Dale was a real man. He wasn't afraid to punch out his own player. Until America recruits guys who like to punch out their own players, everything will continue to go to he!! in a handbasket. The main strategy of winning coaching in sports: Offense, defense, and assault and battery of your team members. Worked for Norman Dale.
  12. I hope you make those two toddlers run the stadium steps in the rain if they lose in T-ball while the winning team gets pizza and cold drinks indoors. That'll teach 'em. See, there's not enough of us right-wing fundamentalists left anymore. Were you at the gun show last week at the county fairgrounds? You look familiar.
  13. Obviously some kids ate paint chips off the wall that contained brain damaging lead. naught seyin' hoo er any-thang.... jest seyin' it musta happ-pinned
  14. And we rode mules to the away games. And then if we didn't win, the coach made us walk back. That was over 70 miles one time. I almost ended up late for my shifts at the coal mine, slaughterhouse, and lumber mill. Seven miles? To us seven miles was like 50 feet. People today wouldn't walk 50 feet. They would have to call Uber or Lyft for a 50 foot ride. Even if they weren't drunk. People today make me want to throw up, but throwing up is for whiners and losers, so I don't do it.
  15. But I did all that while working three full time jobs: coal mine, slaughterhouse, lumber mill. You never heard ME complain about anything. We had it terrible and loved it. Wouldn't have traded places with those rich BelleMeade prep school kids for anything. They had it too good. They must have really hated it.
  16. And I still had over 1800 rushing yards by the sixth game out of the old single-wing offense. But my foot got mangled pretty bad working at my other full time job, in the slaughterhouse and I only finished with 2700 yards rushing for the season. That was when Texas A&M and Oklahoma State stopped recruiting me. So I had to drop out of school and pick up a third full time job down at the lumber mill, loading 500 pound railroad ties onto flatbed trucks. It paid 3 cents an hour but I was glad to do it. What's a few splinters and a permanently injured back when you have the pleasure of knowing this is the plan the "big guy upstairs" had for you all along. If they would just make prayer mandatory in public schools, this country wouldn't have any problems anymore. That's what reverend Cletus-Jasper the youth pastor said. Until he got arrested for stalking under-age girls.
  17. Gravel? We wish we had that. It would have been a treat. And then the Klan took over the school-house and we were home-schooled because pappy said they were too dang liberal.
  18. I walked five miles to school. Up hill both ways. With no shoes. Hungry and thirsty. We would have loved a sign like that. Instead of complaining about it, we would have taken it home and eaten it because we had no food. And then after the game we worked in coal mines with no ventilation. And we liked it. None of this bleeding heart tree-hugger child-labor-law b.s. - the working conditions were dangerous and toxic and we loved it.
  19. Has it been mentioned that there are 9 teams at .500 or below in the 5a playoffs while at least one that played three 6a teams and finished with a winning record both overall and in their region is left out? Way to go, T$$AA. And you didn't even buy them drinks before you @#%& them.
  20. Good point about LHS winning big at LCHS. But LHS played 6a power Smyrna instead of an 0-10 4a school and who gets the home game? Not them. If we could put a man on the moon 50 years ago, they can think up a better playoff plan. And that's not whining. It's just telling it like it is.
  21. The Maryville and Whitehaven 1st round games are a farce. They should have been given a bye straight to the second round. Cash strapped school systems shouldn't have to spend the $$$ to travel long distances to get beatdowns when they have no business in the postseason anyway. The new playoff plans are a load of bullcrap anyway. Teams with losing records who are in the playoffs... Warren Co. 1-9 Siegel 2-8 Dobyns Bennet 4-6 Coffee Co. 3-7 Wm Blount 2-8 Bartlett 3-7 Lebanon 3-7 Houston 1-9 Wilson Central 4-6 Antioch 0-10 Heritage 3-7 Mo East 3-7 Clinton 4-6 K. Carter 4-6 Giles Co. 3-7 Maplewood 3-7 Portland 4-6 Craigmont 1-9 Millington 3-7 Red Bank 3-7 Cheatham Co. 3-7 East Lit. 3-7 Sweetwater 4-6 J. Christian 3-7 Riverside 4-6 Oakhaven 0-10 Fairley 3-7 Douglass 4-6 Westwood 1-9 MLK Prep 0-10 Manassas 3-7 Unaka 2-8 M. NorthSide 3-7
  22. When you go to their place and hang 50 on them and they get in because they played three lower division teams with a combined record of 6 & 24, that is NOT having everything taking care of itself. I saw there is a # on twitter to bring back the "Z" plan already. This current setup has about one more year in it's lifespan before it's replaced. The entire 6a plan is a farce. Clocks will be running before the 1st qtr is over.
  23. Creek loses a veteran QB, a WR/DB who signed with APSU, the other leading WR, and a 6-foot-7 TE who has started since day one, a kicker who has started since day one, several big linemen who have started since day one. With other region 5 schools graduating players, they might make the playoffs next year, but it's not like they didn't have a bunch of veteran senior leaders who paid lots of dues the first two years in 6a against the Oaklands and Blackmans of the world. They deserved this playoff game, not a bunch of teams with zero or one win. What is Creek's reward for hanging 49 on Shelbyville at S-ville? Shelbyville goes to the playoffs for playing a bunch of 4a teams with losing records. And yes, I did email the list of teams with losing records in the playoffs to the T$$AA because until you see them listed all at once, it doesn't sink in.
  24. There was one first round pairing (in 3a maybe?) where both teams had losing records. And how much is 0-10 Antioch going to have to spend to travel to Memphis Whitehaven for the beat-down? Warren Co. at Maryville? As if cash-strapped school systems can afford to sink money into a game where their team that doesn't belong in the post-season gets boat-raced by video game or arena league numbers on the other side of the scoreboard.
