  1. I have seen problems with the same type of thing before out of the refs in Memphis. You talk about home cookin, the Memphis teams always gets it.
  2. The season is still very young. Hopefully, Becker will be back by Brentwood. I still see good things for this team.
  3. I noticed on the new site, that some of the schools do not have complete information for their stats. I guess it is up to the coaches to get that turned in. Would that be correct?
  4. Which QB will play for Franklin Friday night? Or should I say, start.
  5. No, it wasn't White. I believe his number was 48 or maybe 46.
  6. I would have to disagree with you about Ravenwood winning the game if the two new players had not played. (And I am a Ravenwood/MBA supporter.) BA is very deep at every position. The starting tailback the past two years was Ford. He is now playing defense but can go in on offense and make a difference at any time. He is a different type of runner then Jordan and if he breaks a tackle, you better watch out, because he will be gone. They also have Bledsoe at QB that helped BA out last year when they were sinking fast. Someone on this thread talked about how things calmed down once he went into the game. I noticed that also, he seems pretty cool headed. I find it funny though that this same poster said that BA left Bledsoe in for one pass too many, but couldn't the same thing have been said about Caffee. Also, what is the name of the fullback that went in the game in certain situations? I don't remember him from the last couple of years. Is he a young one?
  7. It will be closer now that Howe is hurt, but MBA should still be able to pull it out.
  8. What a great site! I wonder when they will update the stats.
  9. Caffee is the real deal at QB...the best BA has had since Adcock. Removing him from the game for a time was inexplicable. For what? Because his receivers (OK...just one) had problems catching the ball? He played great all night, and especially after coming back in. Well, I watched the game again tonight on Channel 3 to see if I could see the same thing in your QB as you do. I guess I just don't see it. You are obviously a big supporter of his. He does have good size, a good arm, and decent speed but he still has the same problems that he did in Texas. (and yes, I do know) He threw over the heads of the receivers, at their feet, ten yards past them, behind them, and you want to blame your receivers. He had an interception, fumble that lead to points and did not move the offense after the first quarter until the very end of the game. To me the whole offense looked confused and out of sorts during the first half and the first series of the second half. When the defense puts pressure on him, he struggles.
  10. Attending Ravenwood, no. You are right about one thing though, Franklin's defense. It sounds like they are what has kept Franklin in the game. Should be a good game to watch, but I still think that Ravenwood will win it.
  11. After watching Ravenwood play Friday night, I will have to go with them. Becker looks comfortable at QB and I believe they have picked up where they left off last year. If they keep improving week to week, nobody will be able to stop them.
  12. Way to go boys! Keep up the good work!
  13. I thought the kick off was 5:30 CDT? Anyway, hope the boys can take care of business today.
  14. Great game Ravenwood! I know that this loss hurts but you guys showed everyone that you are still at the top even after losing a ton of seniors. You looked very well prepared, excellent play calling, Becker looked like a seasoned QB, defense looked great and I strongly believe you will make it back to state. Now, if my "other" team will win today!
  15. I'm with you BigRed. Some too high, some that shouldn't even be there, and some that should be aren't. But, like you said, it is the preseason and things will change.
  16. I hate this for Tompkins. To wait for his time and then for this to happen. Hopefully, he will be able to recover enough to be part of the playoffs.
  17. I thought I read last year that Father Ryan's coach wanted to do away with all financial aid and play in DI. I don't know if they can do that because of the cut rate that the catholic students receive. I'm sure that they have checked it out with the TSSAA.
  18. Who is replacing Cannon Smith. I heard that he left for Mississippi because of his age. Is that right?
  19. Sounds like the Big Red is getting ready for another exciting season. As someone else ask, how did the Oline and Dline look? Also, is Daniels getting any interest from any schools?
  20. Ravenwood needs to keep constant pressure on BA's QB from Texas. That is what worked for the teams that played against him last year. I am sure that is what all the DII teams will do. I know that it has been along time, if ever, that a Williamson County team has beaten BA but good luck to Ravenwood.
  21. Thanks RRR! How did Howe look? He should have a great year. What is this, 3rd year as a starter. Who is going to back him up?
  22. Big Dog! You are right! Keep it "The Super 7 + 1 for this year and then "The Big Tenn". That is good! I am going to be out of town for the next couple of weeks so you all will have to keep me posted on two a days via CoachT.
  23. Has the name been changed or are we still calling the eight teams in DIIAAA "The Super 7". I am in favor of changing it to "The Elite Eight". What do you think this group of teams should be named? I'm sure Briarcrest would appreciate a change.
  24. For DII, why not have the championship game on Thanksgiving. Let the teams have an extra week to prepare for the big game and then play it only 6 days later then what they do now. If I'm not mistaken, a couple of years ago, they played on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.
