  1. A good defensive team can keep the owls under 20. DB does not have the D to keep the owls out of the end zone. If Owls can stop DB run game their QB did not show me he can beat you with his arm. The crowd up there will be twice what you saw at EH and the atmoshpere is almost like a college game. I see a low scoring game with field goal kickers playing a big part. Both teams are strong in that department. DB kicker hit a 52 yarder on the Canes. I say 20-16 owls. I see the Canes as a pick it this week versus IDLE. Hopefully they won't drop any footballs walking the halls and they just might pull it out!
  2. 10 in the box would be great! That would make it a little easier to hit one of the 4 or 5 wideouts. Key will be EH D stopping the running game. The EH O will do just fine. Turnovers will be a big factor especially if SM ran run at will and keep the ball. If EH has to pass yes SM will load up and come after them and I don't think our line and the stable of 150lb backs can stop them. EH does have the speed advantage and speed does kill!
  3. Then who at EH or Ooltewah is starting because of politics?
  4. You get your opinion from 6 plays in the Jamboree? Where does politics play any role at EH or Ooltewah? I believe the coaches have their jobs and program to think about before they play kids for political reasons. Is your litlle Johnny not getting to play somwhere in Chattanooga or at EH or Ooltewah. Now name one player you know that played over another kid EH due to politics! I'm sure you can't and you probably sent yours to Grace or Silverdale so they could be a star. GetReal!!
  5. First on first was more like 31-14. The rest was garbage. Canes had one skill player that even got on the field for the Vasity last year on offense. New offense WILL be good and moved the ball againist a good Maryville team. Maryville looks to have about 200 kids in their program and can keep putting new bullets in the chamber year after year. Most schools like EH can predict how good they will be based on what players they had in the 7-8-9th grades. Canes DO NOT get kids from out of zone to supplement those classes as some schools in our region do. ZERO additions from last year to this year! So bash all you want about a scrimmage and scores made on players that will NEVER play a varsity down at EH.
  6. 4:30 Maryville Football Time. They might have a quciker pace than everybody else!
  7. QB and every reciever are new. Most are Sophmores. Will probably be missing thier best skill player but he won't be out long. Line has a few big kids but O and D line will be the weakness. New offensive scheme will take some time for everyone to get on same page and this scrimmage will surely point that out. Maryville will always help you see your weaknesses and that is why EH is going there. This will be a "Take one for the Team" day for EH but they will improve by August 22.
  8. Signal will dress 60 when they go to the hill. Had that many last year and with new Freshman they should have that many this year. Had 16 seniors and 12 freshman on roaster last year.
  9. Don't forget in 2005 the second half come back against Number One Oak Ridge. Down something like 32-7 and came back to win on a 50 yard tight end streak with about a minute to go. Had to hold on at the end to seal it but that has to be the best and loudest game ever played on the owls turf. Oak Ridge had more studs on that team than I have ever seen on one high school team. 2006 against William Blount "The Drive" was pretty exiciting as well!! Nice payback for the previous year at Blount.
  10. EH will probably be 4A next year
  11. How did Owls new QB's do at Maryville 7 on 7?

    TBCA Team TN

Any way to get info on the games played yesterday and today?
  13. No It was called putting the cocky kids from Ringgold in their place. Way too full of themselves.
  14. How about the decisive victory that East Hamiliton on top ranked North Georgia Ringgold last Friday. Ringgold threw their top pitchers and EH threw a Freshman and beat them 7-2. Also struck out 11. Even though Chattanooga is a bit down this year it still shows it's better than North Georgia baseball.
  15. Where can you find the District tournament schedules? District 5AAA
  16. Thanks Your a Gentleman and a Scholar (probably streatching that a bit!) Now can you get EH to hit the ball well enough to score that many runs?
  17. Looked up scores and it will still be tied if Bradley, Soddy and EH win. Bradley and EH run differential is 8-8 Bradley-Soddy is Bradley- 11-5 Soddy-EH is Soddy -11-7 With an odd number of teams the #1 seed might be crucial if there is a bye.
  18. Region 3AAA If this one ends in a 3 way tie can anyone advise what the seeding format will be. I read that they voted an automatic berth into the region if one team won with a 2 game lead but that is not posssible now. Just was wondering how they will play this with seven teams in all and 3 way tie. This is all in place if Bradley, EH, and Soddy all win tonight!
  19. East Ham-Cleveland Strikeout fest Taylor Thompson-Cle- 9IP- 14Ks -3 hits Mattie Henshaw-EH- 7IP- 11Ks - 2 hits Nicholas Woods-EH-4IP -9 Ks - 0 hits No score until 11th inning- Great pitching and great D, lots of drama Don't see many high school games like that one!
  20. The lights are for the soccer field and would not be tall enough for baseball anyway. The County will not let the soccer booster club put them up themselves and is requesting them to pay $35,000 for the County to put them up.
  21. Don't think you want to go there son. Yes, been there, done that, taught that. Ran more, called more plays than you've witnessed. So please stop acting like you are an expert on the real game of football. Just be a fan and enjoy the competition on the field.
  22. Has Passive EVER put on pads?????
  23. Another EH zoned athlete showed up a OHS today. Great player but won't put in the work! I'm sure you'll find a way that he can suit up for the first game.
