CLINT!! lol he has grown up a lot since i played with him. i heard he is almost as good as his brother was. is that true? it sure seems like clint is more versatile from what I have heard. colton could just flat out run and was an amazing athlete. how does clint stack up. im just wondering.

I see another very, very, very close game in hand. jo byrns has not lost a game in the rain in the last 4 years. if it rains jb wins. their offense and defense works AMAZINGLY well in the rain. another thing. this is the first time that i can remember the offense and defense getting better once the playoffs started. before we dropped off once the season ended. this might be the team that we have been looking for men. good luck jo byrns. i'll be unbiased and pick a winner later on this week after i do some homework.

Unicoi County has athletes. ive seen them play. what they need is a coach who played college football, has a modern scheme, and knows how to win. someone with a drive for success would help this team out the most. college experience would allow him to make his kids the best they could be as well.

Jo Byrns wins the game. Wet field in their favor. this will be a low scoring game. WC offense against a great defense and jb's offense isn't that amazing to start with. jb 28-21.

Coach heatherly is an amazing coach. he has a 5'10" 190 pound lineman playing like he is 6'4" 260 pounds. and the bigger lineman play even bigger. a small team playing over their heads is the same as a huge team playing their game. i don't think wc's size will be a factor.

The same thing happened to Clay Head in 05. 3000 yards through the air with another 1000 on the ground with over 40 td's (with over 30 through the air) deserves a Mr. Football Finalist positiion. these stats may be wrong. im doing this from memory.

i know. i used to play for jo byrns. i am saying that i don't care who wins the cascade mcewen game. i just want a region 5 rematch at the quarterfinals, and therefore a region 5 representative in the semi's. thats all I am saying.

maybe dynasty was a little premature, i concede. however in 05 we were an unproven team. as you are now. we were the only team in our region to win a game, as you are now, and we were considered the underdog in ever game against our opposing region, as you are now. our first round game was against wc, we were a 28 point underdog. and we won by a little more that 28 i think. then CA. we won by 36. then mtp we won by 1. we had to prove ourselves that year. then we were taken seriously from that point on. throughout my senior year. my junior year 6 teams scheduled us as their homecoming. my senior year none did. thats respect or fear. take it as you want.

I am surprised that this poll is as close as it is. i have to agree with an earlier post that the polls weren't expected to be this close for either game (jb vs. wc, and cascade vs. mc). This just tells you that these teams must be well matched. because most of the people voting on the cascade game have seen both teams play and therefore the results mean that they are fairly close. however, the jb vs. wc game is probably just favoritism. and cascade is probably a little bit of that as well. go region 5

WC is getting the same treatment i got in 05. a team that still hasn't proven themselves up against a dynasty powerhouse. In our game against mtp that year everybody said it was already over when mtp got there. we had to beat them to get any respect. and wc will have to do the same. go jbs.

There are a lot of very fast and talented backs in 1A. but if they aren't big they won't last very long. they need to weigh at least 180. that has been my experience at least. i play college ball and played at jo byrns. so i know about coming from a 1A powerhouse and going on to the next level. speed is the biggest difference though. if he is fast then he will do well. but size determines longevity.

a long drive does take a lot out of you. if mtp had traveled to jo byrns in 06 we would have won. we were super balanced that year. it all depended on who's field we played at. jb wins if played at jb, mtp wins if played at mtp. if wayne and jb are balanced then it may come down to home field advantage.
