I don't think RD being out will be a big deal. The Cubs where losing at halftime at Harpath when RD sat out the first half. The Cubs need to concentrate on defending and rebounding. If the Cubs can hold them to one shot and out and take good shots on the other end the Cubs can be successful.

The fact is the kid only playerd 2 quarters in JV. JP-tiger did you see the book for Waverly? Is that how you know how many quarters Beech played? If not you are just guessing.

It is all sort of subjective depending on your point of view. I am not saying Waverly's Coach is not the Coach of the year. I just remember when coach Jackson won it at Cheatham. He turn them in to a team nobody wanted to play and won with players that had only won a game the year before. I agree with you no matter the talent you still have to coach. Tubby Smith got that same treatment when he coach at Kentucky. That he won a Championship with Coach P's players but you still have to caoch to be able to win the big ones.

Coach of the year is about more then just winning the district. What kind of talent are you winning with? You take over a team that was loaded then are really the best Coach. How much did you improve from last year? If you took a team from the bottem and they contend the next year that should count alot. I sure there are more things you can come up with to determine coach of the year.

I don't know what the outcome will be. The Cubs have won the last 5 of 6 games and Waverly won the last meeting by 2 on freethrows. I would say it could come down to who has the ball last and doesn't blink. Waverly playing at home is alot tougher task for the cubs but they have won there in the past. The Cubs will have to bring there A game and disrupt Waverly on offense. Who ever wins I think this will be a great battle and should be a packed house

He was held to 0 pts when the cubs played Sterwart County. I heard most of his 45 came from the freethrow line.

I am sorry for not being more clear. I did mean the regular season. The tournment is wide open becuase one bad night can send you home or have you fighting for seeding poistion.

I am sorry to say Warverly pretty much has it wraped up. Everyone else is fighting for second. I just hope the Cubs can pull the upset which would let us win a tie beaker if needed. It should be an exciting couple of weeks leading into the tourny.

What Cheatham team will show up? The one that played Waverly to 2 pionts and demolished Stewart County or the one that came out flat as they did against MCHS.

Glad to hear that Sycamore won a close ball game. It is tough when you keep losing a few by 3 or less. Maybe this will get them over the hump. Good luck over the Christmas break.

Johnny Jackson at Cheatham County. Took over a 1-20 something 3 years ago and turn the program back into a contender. Last year was 21-11 and set a state record for team free throw percentage with 77% and rank 1st in the nation.

What a game for the Cubs to win. It was close up until the fourth quarter. The cubs lead most of the way but Sycamore took the lead a few times in the first half. Neither team did anything great in the first half. They both missed shots and I think the defence helped that. Noal had a good first half and Watts had 11 of his teams 20 pts in the first half. The fourth is when the Cubs made something like a 20 to 4 run and blow the game open. Sycomores coach pull everyone with 5:00 to go in the game. I was alittle puzzled by that becuase I know Sycamoe can make big runs too. But the game was about over after he pulled everyone. Good Job CUBS!!! Is this the first win for them on Sycamores Court?

This will be a close game and might come down to who has the ball last. The team that takes care of the ball and defends well should win. There should be alot of energy in the building. No matter what the records of the teams everyone gets up for this one. Good luck Cubs

NW is Garbage. They are the worst team Ihave seen them have. I do like Dickerson. He is a nice player and I hope his injury is not bad. Good luck against Okland.

Sissy Noel? You really beleive that? He had 43 points in the opener with a man in is pocket the entire game. He hit 93 three's last year.What exactly makes hime a sissy. It isn' his shooting abilty.

I saw NW last night and they are alittle better then last year but It will be ugly early. The Cubs play Rossview and Kenwood this year and they are not very good. Rossview is Tuesday and If there was line on tonight and Tuesday I would take the over. The Cubs can score what ever number thay want.

This should be a good game tonight. It is a total contrast of styles. I watched NW last night and they alot of quickness and Dickerson down low is a nice player. Having that said I think this year the Cubs can beat NW. It would the first time in many years but I think they are down this year.

It should be a tough game tonight. Sycamore plays well at home and their crowd is always crazy. Greenbreir plays hard and they beat you ugly. They are not flashy or real pretty but they win. They will bang down low and light it up from outside. If Sycamore is on they should win, but if they are not it could be a long night.

Clarksville was already on the Basketball map. With Marion, Hassel, and Marcus. Not to mention some old school players going to Kentucky, Vanderbuilt, APSU. I am not tring tp start an arguement but I think the players coming out now just prove how good Clarksville has been in turning out good players. What a up and down game. The Cubs hit lights out first half and the second half was alittle cool. Goodpasture got smart in the second half and went to the big man and they caught fire from three. At the end it was anybodys game but our great freethrow shooting pulled it out

It will be a tough game and I will say Cheatham will win by 5. The only thing that could be a problem is their bench.

Tomorrow will be the first test at Goodpasture. I think the thing to watch for is how they come together. Losing Nolen and then adding the transfer students it wil take a few weeks to work out some of the problems. Even with that said they shouldn't be tested until they play Hume Fogg. I might be wrong but I don't think they lost much from last year.

How is lexington this year. My wife is from lexington and I watched them last year and I was impressed with them. I hope I can catch a game this year.
