  1. la doesn't have 1100 students. according to the tn deptarment of education, the most students they can have at this point is 981. that's assuming every special education student attends the highschool. look it up. http://www.state.tn.us/education/asr/05_06/doc/table8.pdf p.s. according to this jackson county has 511, that's assuming they have zero special education students in their entire high school.
  2. first, don't brag about something unless you win it just makes you look more like a loser. and you are probably talking about div II club which means nothing. secondly, the west has christian brothers, houston, and ridgeway as constants. ecs, mus, usj, germantown, and sheffield have their good years where they make some noise, but never win it all. on the other hand, there are at least five teams every year in the greater knoxville area that are favorites to win the state tournament. while there are at least three every year from nashville and chattanooga that are the exact same way. thirdly, in a/aa soccer, which this thread is about, the only team from the west to ever do anything was ridgeway. they won the state championship in '00 and '02 and were runner ups in '99 and '01. since ridgeway was moved from a/aa to aaa no west tennessee team has ever made the finals in a/aa soccer. that will be no different this year. finally, no team from jackson or martin is going to show a team from knoxville, chattanooga, or nashville anything they haven't seen already. northside and westview are in for an unforgettable experience.

  4. this is just another prime example of what's wrong with west tn soccer. you guys whine and complain about not getting the respect that the teams from middle and east tn do. maybe that's because we actually have to play teams to make it to the tournament.
  5. can anyone say, rematch.
  6. it's not hard to compile 46 wins in district 7aa and playing 10 single a teams in a year. it doesn't matter how many games you win in the regular season what matters is how many you win in the tourney. it looks like coach eldridge has done a pretty good job at that both at anderson county and now at maryville.
  7. cookeville slaughters in this one. they have to much talent in the mid field and up top this year.

  11. warren co. used to have a really good midfielder that didn't play when we scrimmaged them. does anyone know if he is back this year? because without him they do not have much besides one really good striker.
  12. big g i know that most of stone memorial's kids came from cumberland county high. i also know there girls basketball and girls soccer teams pulled several players from clarkrange high school. i doubt that any guys from clarkrange would help any but last season cumberland county had some very decent players and they would've been a very competitive double a team. if they have pulled the talented players from cumberland county then they could quite possibly be a team to watch out for. they might not be able to compete with the likes of cak or catholic, but from what i saw last year, if they pulled the right kids, they can beat a kingston and definetly a scott county.
