Well, young one. You need to find out a little bit about rivals before you start bragging how many players your team has on it. First, all the player has to do is fill out a form and get in their data base. Meaning that you could probably get on Rivals. Secondly, if you think all high caliber players are on Rivals, you would be mistaken. A parent, coach, or any other person can call up Rivals and ask them to interview a player. The player sends in the highlight tapes (which they have made of their "best" plays), pictures and any info that they want to brag about. If you think that Rivals goes out and hunts down all these players on their own, then you would be mistaken again. Rivals, Scout, etc. are in it for one reason. MONEY!

Glad to hear that USA. I think alot of the old school coaches have had to change the way they practice. Moms and dads will not put up with the way we all practiced football back in the day. It has changed from peewees all the way up to the pros.

I believe that kids today are in better condition then they were even 15 years ago. With all the weight room work and conditioning they get now they should be able to go the distance. And if you have 100 players, as I know BA does, you surely have 22 quality athletes that can play. I have always heard that BA's second teamers could have gone to any other high school and start.

As always, but what do you bet Flatt will still play kids both ways. I have never understood that with the athletes that BA has why they play anybody on both sides of the ball.

So, what you are saying is, that some players are evaluated and ranked according to how good they look on film? Don't you think that most players that play on good teams can make a tape that makes them look like an allstar. Also, how do we know how good the teams are that they are playing against when these clips were made. And do we know that the "word of mouth" comments are from people that are truly knowledgeable, or that they just want that player to have all the free publicity that they can get. I guess that I am "old school". I have always felt that if a player is good enough, college coaches will find them. That is exactly how it use to be before Rivals, Scout and I am sure many more. You all do a great job of keeping the recruiting of high school players interesting but I am sure that there are plenty of players that will play at the next level that are not included in these sites.

Not practicing in pads this week might be a good thing. But the killer will be missing out on the two scrimmages. Maybe MBA and Siegel can scrimmage each other.

I don't know why people put so much stock in Rivals. I know three guys that have had offers from DI schools that aren't even listed on Rivals.

The number of principals per school depends on the enrollment in that school. Now if you want to talk about the overall school systems, then that is a different matter. Some systems do have too many people doing too few jobs. So, if your system is like that you need to make sure that you vote next week and put some new people on your school board.

All public schools, that I know of, have a principal and an assistant principal or two.

This would be a great kick off game for the season. Can you imagine the money they would make.

Well, I have a way to have a realistic claim at being the "best" team in the state. First, DI would have to reduce their number of playoff bound teams to complete their state championship in three games (just like DII). After all classifications have their "champion" then we would have the next round of playoffs. You would start with the seven state champs. One team would have a bye, the others would play and then be down to four teams, they would play and we would have two teams left. Then for the state "championship game" the two best teams in the state. This process would only make the playoffs one game more then they are right now for DI. Any takers?
