I am not from Tn., so I am not familiar with certain names. Who is this Mr. Green who has 3 state championships you are referring to please?

I just watched the game on espn3, and I remember some ppl questioning the hiring of such a young coach, but I thought LT was very well-coached and I thought he managed the game very well. Question as I saw where LT started 5 seniors. What is the outlook for the young coach and LT for next year. Fun game to watch, 2 outstanding teams.

How successful has ECS been since Coach Tippet's arrival???

Where is Coach Tippet coaching now??? or has he retired. If he hasn't retired, has he had the same or similar success where he is at? I wish I could have seen some of his teams play. I am from Florida and rarely get to see teams out of Tn. unless they travel down for some of our Christmas tourneys, such as Liberty Tech a few years ago, Franklin Co., looking forward to seeing Melrose in Fort Myers.

According to the article they (LT) had over 100 applicants. Either he gave one heck of an interview, or had someone really pushing him that has strong ties there. Either way it is an unusual hire. That does not make it an incorrect hire, just unusual. Look what Brad Stevens has done at such a young age at Butler, so it can be done if he has the communication skills, worked hard at gaining a high level of knowledge other than just being a good player, and has a tremendous work ethic, along with being a good and fair disciplinarian. I wish him well. Liberty Tech is certainly set to be a powerhouse for years to come with the right leadership.

I too wonder why it is taking so long. It would seem very important to have someone in place to do the summer stuff with their team. That is when you can get very familiar with your team without the pressure of wins and losses. Just my 2 cents.

Any word yet on where Liberty is in finding a new coach???

Also I went to the home page of the tourney and saw that it said you could watch the tourney but never found a link to watch it. I realize I am fairly computer ignorant so any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Miller Grove has a very good team from Georgia and will give anyone there a run. From Florida Boyd Anderson is very good, and Pace is always formidable as they will defend and be well-coached as will Dr. Krop. From what I saw at the City of Palms Briarcrest is one of the best defensive teams I have seen and are also very well-coached, so I don't really see a walk for anyone in this tourney. I was surprised to read the Tenn High beat Bryan Station. BS is one of the top 10 teams in Kenutcky.

Yes it is. Friday at 8:15 I think it is they play Lincoln out of New York with Lance Stephenson. It will be tough but it sounds like they could be up for the challenge. Good thing about it is -- I WILL BE THERE ---

Is this the same Franklin team that played in a Christmas tourney down in Panama City, Fl. this past year. They were very good, although they couldn't get their shots to go down, but they returned almost everyone if I remember correctly. I think they are planning on going back to that same tourney this coming year. I hope so I am from near that area and would love to see them play again.

Franklin must be very very good as Moeller was nationally ranked last year and returns most of those guys, now I don't know how many of those were w/them at the camp, they could have been missing a few. Still Franklin looks to be tough this year.

Thanks for the rundown. I coach basketball in college and I am always looking for well played games by well-coached teams, and generally pay anywhere from $10 to $40 depending on whether it is a professional job (several cameras etc...) or a single camera. I would be willing to pay as much as $25 for this particular game, as good of a game as it sounds. Let me know what you can do if that is a price that would make it worth it to you, if not I certainly understand. Thanks for your help so far. It sounds even more like an outstanding game and thanks for the update. Being such an outstanding game is again why I was asking for anyone's help as far as a gamefilm or dvd or this game. Again thanks for your help and I look forward to reading more about CPA this coming year.

Will CPA be as good this year as they were last year???? And does anyone know if their is a dvd or gamefilm available of their quarterfinal game??? I know the finals and semis are available through the tenn. high school website, but not the quarterfinal games. I would love to see that game, as it sounds as if it was unbelievable. I would imagine that Moeller ended up winning this as they are normally a national level program, but I am certainly not sure. If anyone has any results, that would be great. Thanks in advance.

What happened to the head coach, and who was it?

I read on the Tn. board that the Bartlett job was open. I know that used to be a great job. What is the story now? Anyone know?

I know when a team loses players of this caliber there is going to be a weaker team the next year, but does anyone know how LT will be next year. Watching them play this year I could tell their coach does an outstanding job, so I feel sure he has a younger group waiting in the wings to prove themselves worthy of the LT tradition.

Of all of these jobs open, which jobs are the best to have as far as chance to win big, teaching and coaching situation, support from administration, student and fan base support ??

I saw Harpeth & Sycamore play down in Florida and must say I was very impressed with the coaches from both schools. They both did very good things on offense, and both teams were very sound defensively. I am sure there are coaches as good as those in Tenn., but I think it would be a stretch to say any are much better than either.
