  1. As far as I can tell, I haven't seen or heard anything as far as the big development that was mentioned. The kid that tested positive is back now, and when he tested positive, we were fortunate with the timing. We were on fall break, and when one of his family members tested positive he was held out until he could test, so the only ones quarantined besides him was one kid who had been at their house. As far as your assessment of the coming games, the only thing you got right is that the SP boys can play.
  2. Yeah, I knew that. I wouldn't mind seeing that video myself.
  3. I've heard Watertown is his once Webster decides to step down.
  4. Didn't Gville have tiger paws on the helmets in the 80s? I like them, because it seems like a throwback. I would make Hackett tell me no as far as the job goes, but had it been up to me(it isn't), I wouldn't have let Murray go. It's hard to deny that the Owls got better as the season went on, and they hosted a playoff game playing mostly sophomores. I feel that he overachieved.
  5. I didn't make the statement, but it does explain things. You must really hold grudges then to dislike someone that much for what they did as a 17 year old thirty years previously.
  6. He takes office January 20th. He did say he would enact a mask mandate; however, you are correct. It's ultimately up to the states. He did say he would attempt to work with states and cities that are hesitant to enforce a mask mandate.
  7. It was, and they're usually in the know. Personally, I don't have a clue as to what the post pertains to.
  8. 1. Effort and tenacity, but they'll be extremely hard to block. 2. Easy, you attempt to stop the run first, but it won't be easy. There are more things that can go wrong in the pass game. 3. Yes, they will. 4. They likely will, but he runs hard and won't let up.
  9. Everyone is assuming it's covid related, and it could be, but it may not be. But, the administration at the school will be consistent and follow CDC guidelines. We have some players in quarantine now, including a starter. I went to practice today, and I didn't notice any other players missing. If any others needed to be quarantined, they would've been absent. As far as I know, only one player has tested positive. He was a starter and missed 2 games, including Monterey. It wasn't covered up or looked over like jimmy is implying. With all that said, I really don't think it's covid, because I fell that it would've come out by now. But, I could be wrong...
  10. We have a few players in quarantine now, but I haven't heard anything else. My son, who's on the team, doesn't have a clue what it may be.
  11. Clay had less than 100 yards offensively in that first game. Gordonsville's scores were set up by there defense. I already said that we didn't play well offensively in the first game. I've said that, so no rose colored glasses. I've admitted that it was an ugly game offensively for both teams. What I have said is that we're playing much better offensively now, and the defense is still there. We'll see which team is more improved this week. I feel strongly that it's the Tigers.
  12. FWIW, when Gville played Clay before, there was lots of talk from Clay about wanting a rematch down the road. I didn't think it would happen at the time, because I thought Clay would've finished in 2nd place instead of 3rd. So, since they lost to Monterey, they're getting what they asked for.
  13. SP will get the win, but Monterey is scrappy and plays hard. I think they'll keep it closer than what most think, however, SP will still win by a good margin.
  14. Whitwell would've mercy ruled Red Boiling Springs.
  15. He seemed fine. I think it was a little overblown. They drug the kid off the field instead of leaving him on the field and getting an injury timeout and properly seeing to him before calling on the EMT's. It seemed to be something with his leg.
  16. I think Gordonsville wins by more than what they did before. Our offense is clicking better, and defense is still playing well. We started slow in previous games. We didn't do that tonight.
  17. We would love to host you and hopefully send you home with a parting gift, a big L.
  18. I feel we should've won by more than we did. I feel that we've drastically underperformed the past few games. Not sure why, but it seems that way. We spotted both Monterey and Fayetteville 13 and 14 points, respectively, before shutting them down. Jo Byrns hung around the 1st half when they shouldn't have. They had some help, though.
  19. I felt Clay had everything go wrong in the Monterey game. I still believe Clay is the better team, just not on the night it counted.
  20. I wonder if there is anything going on in Clay. They only beat Red boiling Springs by 10, 32-22. Now, they could've pulled all the starters and RBS scored 22 on the subs. I don't know, but I was surprised by the score.
  21. Sale Creek and Monterey do have a common opponent in Jackson County, who are not a playoff team. Monterey beat them 12-6 while SC lost 44-24, I believe, and it was a close game to the 4th quarter. So, SC winning is not out of the realm of possibility.
