  1. giles marshall v creekwood ???????? lipscomb spring hill
  2. i love how you read 6:04 as 5:04! i drove by today and they were working on tackling...at 3:50. the linebackers were taking the one man sled to the ground.
  3. Even though i would love to see Lipscomb lose a region game, i will have to go with lipscomb. page lost way too many good players last night!
  4. notice the very first word of the quote...IF! if marshall county wraps up, if gower was playing, if hightower has a good game. these things HAVE to happen...with the exception of Gower. I am not trying to take anything away from MC's defense but they will NOT wrap up. they do at least 30 mins of a tackling circuit EVERY SINGLE DAY! it hasn't helped the teams the past couple years and it likely will not help this team. unless the players in the game realize that they HAVE to wrap up it will not happen. also, the players should not have an easy monday after a loss, especially IF they had wrapped up they would have won. they were still out there when i drove by at 5:30! Creekwood 28 MC 20 i will even be wearing a hawks shirt at the pep rally...it is for another reason though!
  5. This is gonna be a good region 5 game. MC suffered a tough loss to a very good Sycamore team Friday night but should bounce back by next week. Sycamore and Creekwood fought it out until the last second so this game should be a good one. i am saying Creekwood 28 Marshall 20
  6. both teams played really well in the second half. MC had a rough first half but they fought through it. While both teams were pretty even MC may have been a little sharper if they had been in school and not been able to do whatever they wanted to all day! There were some questionable calls in the second dalf...such as the unsportsman like conduct call on Don'ta when he ran it for a touchdown...all he did was point. The game is over and MC will begin practice for creekwood monday...hopefully it will be a better outcome! oh yea...Lohin is one of the best QB's i have seen MC play. Good luck to both teams this season!
  7. this is a very true statement. althought when don'ta has the ball i wouldn't want to blink because you might miss him running a sycamore player into the ground...if you miss it the first time i am sure you will get at least 10 more times to see it!
  8. LC may look big but Giles County has some serious atheltes on their team and will not be intimidated by size!
  9. After seeing the Tigers practice this week they look ready to win this one. The only way the tigers will lose this is if they beat themselves. MC has the better offense with the line and the backs and the tiger defense is a lot tougher than the one Sycamore faced last year! i am still saying 35-21! GOOD LUCK TIGERS!!!!
  10. the only incident i know of a noise maker being banned is during a marshall county game...but that is only because they were using a train whistle every time the teams lined down. actually it wasn't banned but MC was penalized 15 yds every time they used it
  11. Defense may win games but special teams sets up the defense for a chance to win the game! I do not want to see the tigers fail but it seems that their chance for a state championship or even a region title diminished when Gower's collar bone snapped in two. oh yea...i said Marshall County was going to win 35-21 by the way tigerclaw!
  12. i don't know about the 3 points there because Marshall County "kicker" barely gets it over for an extra point, and with Coach Johnson calling the shots there will never be a field goal. anyway...i don't think it will be as much of a blow out as you may think. maybe after watching this week's practice i will tell you more
  13. this game should and will be a great game...as always. Marshall County has not beaten them in 3 years now and is thirsty for the win! if the first half MC comes out to play then i am betting on MC but if the second half MC comes out i would bet on Sycamor. 35-21 Marshall county!
  14. the o-line during this game was patched together. they were missing there big 300 pounder who can create some HUGE holes. that is why the running game wasn't as good as usual. i was expecting to see hightower with close to 200 yards on the night.
  15. the game was a surprising one...i was expecting to see a very high powered offense from the tigers but i was highly disappointed by their performance. both teams defenses held strong for most of the game but MC had a lapse in the second half and allowed two touchdowns to be scored. fortunately the tigers came out on top and won it 20-17! it was a thrilling game between two rivals.
  16. McNairy county brought everything they had to Marshall County tigers tonight...i left with about ten minutes left due to the rain but the team were tied and McNairy had the ball on the tigers half of the field...i figure the score ended up about 5-5
  17. one word....NOPE! MARSHALL COUNTY!!!!!
  18. We will definately miss Gower behind the helm but we have a very capable soph. QB that can get the job done. With Hightower in the backfield he shouldn't have to worry much. We have stepped up in EVERY way, defensively, offensively, and special teams. The only part of team that was even a question last year was the defense (that has changed)! I spoke to gower the other day and he is pretty bummed but is resting and making sure that arm is fully healed
  19. McNairy better bring whatever talent they have to the "jungle" tonight if they want to build some confidence!
  20. marshall county has proven it time and time again in the pre season scrimmages. shelbyville went nowhere on the ground and most of the hogs were out of comission
  21. unfortunately kellen gower won't be healthy for 5 more weeks and that is only if he doesn't need surgery
  22. Don'ta Hightower from marshall county and should have been Kellen Gower from marshall county but he got injured.
  23. Marshall County definately has an excellent offensive line and the best compliment to the line...a killer running back!
  24. J-Mo did do a great job for being so young and inexpienced but you can't completly forget about gower's abilities on the field. don'ta and braden did a great job running the ball (especially his reggie bush run). good luck guys!
  25. it seems to me that in recent years players are often being overlooked as individuals and only being seen as an object that can be replaced. have coaches become so involved with winning the big one that they forget about the players themselves?
