In 05 an average(still really good though) BA team beat the 5A state champs in Ravenwood. And I think that same year a 3-7 FRHS team beat Franklin. Just two games but they really stuck out to me. So did McCallie beating Riverdale last year.

So the question that this is supposed to be about, how will Ensworth do this year?

how many teams from each region make the playoffs? 6 or 8?

i can see where there would be doubt because the past 3 years, but theres enough talent in the backfield to carry the team. and there is enough experience and leadership from the senior, junior, and even sophomore classes that have been missing the past few seasons. as long as the line can put on a bit more weight(starters are at 180,230,220,210,220) that should hold up to. all except one(transfer) started at least one game so theres experience. line is the weak spot though cuz size. the backs/secondary have enough speed and strength to hold with anyone though. not saying that bga will just come in and have an easy time because this is a different league with ba, baylor, and so on, but this is a different team than in years past.

mba isnt on the schedule and ba and father ryan were included in the three losses. besides that the region schedule is made up of old d2aa teams that bga played close last year along with an easier non region schedule.

BGA has a solid core of backs and receivers and a fairly experienced line that averages over 200 lbs for the first time in a while. Ramsey at QB and Hannah at RB should have a good year running the O. Defense that returns almost everyone as well. A lot of experience at LB with Tully and Patterson. Seivers (TE,DE) should have a great year. Despite the move up there's pretty good expectations with an easy non region schedule. And the region games are mostly against teams from the AA region last year. BA and Baylor look to be really tough games. No real reason there shouldn't be a 5-1 or 6-0 start. Prediction: 7-3 And just wondering, how will the play off teams be chosen this year with the new set up?

Coach U is running the offense and Coach Johnson the defense. There was about 100 yds passing on 4 of 5 I think(2 over 20) And 3 rushing TDs(one about 75 yds) Defense gave up on big pass and an ok run, but besides that Springfield was shut down.

You can't really apply it to football because they haven't played in so long, but the best total school rivalry is BGA/BA, if only because the student sections at the basketball games.

He's not the only talented player on the team, but without him, MP wouldn't win the region.

Just counting varsity, BGA scored on 3 of 3 drives, shut out Springfield on their three drives, and forced 2 turnovers.

#1 is Moore Co. just because Coach McDaniel.

I thought CA was supposed to be good this year?

Cost shouldn't be an issue than. That is a sad excuse that coaches and others will use. I am pretty sure that 150$ per team won't be a devastating financial burden for the TSSAA...seeing as they just spent God knows how much money on a law suit against BA.

Test only starters, so thats about 15 players on around 300 teams? How much would that cost?

Battle Ground has Springfield and a tri-scrimmage at Independence with IHS and Spring Hill.

I've read on here that they have a solid 09 class. How are they in terms of weight and strength in the weight room?

I'm glad to hear it. Coach Mac was a great coach and well liked throught the school, and he still has the loyalty of all the players he got to coach for that one year.

We are lucky to have him. And while on the subject of offensive coordinator, where is Coach Nowell at now? And how is Coach Mac doing at Moore County if anyone knows?

Did he win state at Oakland in '98 or just get there?
