I haven't seen Page play yet, so for all I know they might be a physical team, but they aren't exactly a good team. Now next year when they have some depth and experience, maybe, but for now no.

Now I'm not trying to take anything away from JPII, they desearve to be picked #1 by most people. They are a senior heavy team that has fought a hard few years from the bottom to the top. I just don't think that having Golden Tate should make them unanimous. It really seems right now that without him, they lose last night and can easily get beat by more balanced teams later in the year.

Well I was at the Goodpasture, Lipscomb game tonight, and I really was not impressed. Goodpasture beat a good team, I'm not taking that away from them, but they just were not very physical. If BGA can get in there and step it up in the trenches they could pull this game off.

BA-49 Manual-6 Caffee was 5-9 117 3 TDs with 5-88 on the ground. White was 6-61 on the ground. Looks like BA is going to be the team to beat this year, not just in D2AAA, but in the state.

I understand that every team has first game jitters, but still without 3 long plays by Tate, yall would have been in a close fight with a standard Greenbriar team.

IHS beat Page, a weak, young 3A team. Untill they beat someone worthwhile, don't start talking about championships. But still a win is a win, so good job IHS.

Before I say anything about Webb, how good is Knox West?

BA has Tyree Ford(runs a 10.2 100 yd) and Ryan White(who had 865 yds last year). Also they got Trent Caffee from Texas at QB. While Ravenwood really only has Becker, and he isn't a proven QB yet. And this being Flatt's last year, they might have got a few other players in since last year.

My bad, I didn't know that about Ensworth. If a region team plays them does that count for that team as a region game though? And also, all I saw from the JPII/Greenbriar highlights was Tate. How did the rest of the team do? Becuase I know Coffee can be a major force when Tate isn't dominating(like when they played BGA last year).

Ensworth is not in the region this year, they will be next year. And really I can't see Webb pulling it off. They lost basically their entire starting lineup.

I agree with you that BGA is much more improved, but last year the line was a major weakness. They had two solid backs, 3 or so really good WRs, and a solid QB that graduated last year, but they could never really get anything going on offense(especially the Father Ryan, Tyner, and Harding games, which they should have won). So is the line looking any better?

This is gonna be one of the few games Ravenwood can't win with their size. And even if BA didn't match up on the front they have plenty more quality backs than RHS. BA-45 RHS-14

BGA might be better, but do you think it is good enough to beat Goodpasture?

i think they should be ready since they have a great coaching staff, but they always have had a good staff,so whats to say it wont be the same this year as the last two

i know its next week, but does anyone have any thoughts about this game? goodpasture really took it to bga last year, but bga's got a new coaching staff and a new offense so you never know

not ecs or webb because of heavy loss to graduation. so id probally go with jpII. but i think if battle ground could honestly make a run, they return most of their starters and really have a solid backfield and wr's.
