  1. If Harriman plays like they are capable... this should be a blow-out. Copper Basin hasn't really beaten anyone this year. They have a weak schedule and are lucky to even be in the play-offs. If Harriman comes together as a team, and stops playing as individuals, they should be just fine. Only problem is, can they do it? I have watched Harriman play several times this year and they look like 2 different teams. Depending on which team shows up determines this score. My prediction: Harriman - 32 Copper Basin -14
  2. All you Hampton folks better not count your chickens before they hatch. This Tellico Plains team ain't no joke this year. Granted Hampton may have the better team, but they haven't played anyone this year that is as physical as this TP team. They are very good upfront, and not to mention probably having the best running back (O'dell) on this side of the bracket. If Hampton doesn't come ready to play, TP could very well find themselves in the 3rd round. I look for this game to come down to the wire. Hampton - 21 Tellico Plains - 20
  3. Rockwood will have to play it's best ball of the year to keep this one close. I have seen both teams play this year, and both are pretty solid. Oneida is very strong up front and has some under estimated speed. They are probably the better team, but hey...it's play-off time, anything can happen! Rockwood really hasn't changed anything except for some success throwing it a little more. I look for this to be a defensive battle. If Rockwood can stop Oneida's offense then they will have a chance. Look for Oneida to mix it up and bring someone on every play to put pressure on Rockwoods QB. Prediction - Upset of the week! Rockwood - 28 Oneida - 24
  4. Gonna be a great game tonight for the tigers. I feel like they are playing their best ball right now. If they continue to show up... they could be hard to handle in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Rockwood by at least 2 scores.
  5. This is going to be one heck of a game right here folks. The county championship and playoff seeds are up for grabs in this one. Both teams have had pretty good success this season, and I'm pretty sure both teams will make it to the playoffs. Harriman bunches it up and tries to pound it at you. Rockwood has been pretty balanced the last couple of weeks with Jolley putting some balls on the money early making teams respect his passing game. When all is said and done... this is going to be an Inman vs. Inman battle. Who is going to come out on top? My prediction: Rockwood-28 Harriman-14
  6. I'm picking Rockwood in this one by 2 TDs. Rockwood-28 Tellico Plains-14
  7. Oakdale just doesn't have it this year. Wartburg wins this one. Wartburg-20 Oakdale-6
  8. UPSET of the week right here son... Midway is coming off back to back loses, I just don't see Moser's kids giving up that easily. They are a solid team that plays great at times. If they can get the ball rolling early tonight I look for Midway to get the win. Midway-21 Grace-20
  9. I predict this is going to be one wet and sloppy ball game. Whoever can control turnovers wins this game. I think both teams will most likely keep it on the ground. Battle in the trenches again tonight. Oliver Springs-21 Coalfield-14
  10. I'm still going with the Jackets in this one tonight, but BEWARE... if WAGGLE shows up, he will lead the Tigers to a victory over the Jackets. That will be the only hope that the Tigers might have tonight. So Rockwood.... if you want to win you better call on o'l WAGGLE to come outta retirement and bring his cheers to your sidelines tonight. Where's he, (WAGGLE), been this year anyway? GO JACKETS! me like trees! LOL
  11. That's a low scoring prediction banjo... If Wartburg can hold the blue devils to less than 3 scores, they have a serious chance of winning. That would be a great game plan for Wartburg, if they can control the clock and keep it a low scoring game. I kinda doubt Tapp and the big blue are going to let that happen tho. They are going to try to open it up and put up some points. If you can stop Harriman's speed, and beat them in the trenches... It'll be one heckuva game. I'm still saying Tapp's blue devils roll in this one. Good luck to both teams!
  12. I talked with some players from Harriman last night and boy are they are ready for this game. I thought they would be kinda cocky... but no way they are overlooking this one they said. "Wartburg has always caused us some trouble" they said. We are just gonna pound it at em and see if they can stop us. I don't think it will take any trick plays for the Blue Devils to win this one. Harriman rolls in this match up! Harriman-32 Wartburg-12
  13. After reading some of these posts... looks like Bledsoe is already trying to make excuses talking about having to play the referees too. That's a ridiculous comment. Refs do sometimes make bad calls, but it's not like they are doing anything to keep you guys from winning. The game will be settled in the trenches tonight. Midway wins this one in a very close game. Could come down to which team is in better shape. I'm still picking the green wave in this one. Midway-32 Bledsoe-21
  14. I look for the bobcats to handle Grundy tonight. They are big and physical this year and the kids up there have finally bought in to what coach Bracket is teaching them. I think OS wins by at least 2 TDs tonight. I think its their first home game of the season so i'm sure they are gonna want to show out in front of their home crowd. Good luck to both teams tonight, but i think OS wins easily.
  15. Wheres all the hype at on this game? This game being the best match up in Roane County this year, I was thinking there would be a lot more posts about this one. This game is going to be better than experts think. "Smash Mouth Football" in this one tonight. Should be very exciting. I wish I could come... Civitan Field should be slammed packed tonight. Good luck to both teams.
  16. I think the first half of this game will be a doozy! Wartburg will come out and hit Harriman right in the mouth. How will Harriman respond... I think they will run all over Wartburg in the second half getting some younger guys a little game experience. I'm going with Harriman on this in the trenches battle. Harriman-32 Wartburg-12
  17. I haven't heard much about any of the key players for Bledsoe, but I have heard they got a pretty solid squad this year. Midway also looks to have a decent team this year, so this game is probably about evenly matched up. I think Midway is throwing it a lot more this year than in the past, so Bledsoe should probably prepare for that. Moser seems to have his kids on track and humble, even tho they are coming off a loss to Harriman. I look for this to be a great game. I giving my prediction early......... Midway-32 Bledsoe-21 Good luck to both teams.
  18. Alcoa has too many tools to not win another state title. I think they will run the table this year. I haven't seen Fulton play yet this year, but i am still saying Alcoa wins this one. Tribe rolls easily... Alcoa-44 Fulton-7
  19. Harriman is the better team. I look for them to start getting better with their scissors play and start leaning towards their backfield to make big plays. I'm not too impressed with their defense yet tho. If they can out score Wartburg I'm pretty sure they can win this one. Harriman-32 Wartburg-12
  20. Man, those tigers are on a roll. They seem to be playing good football right now shutting 2 teams out and not allowing any points. However, Kingston has always been tough for Rockwood. I'm going out on a limb and giving my prediction early... Kingston-24 Rockwood-18 Kingston always starts out slow, but look for the jackets to finally put an entire game together and win this one in an exciting match-up. I won't be able to make it to any games this week, but good luck to all the teams in RoCo.
  21. CAK will dominate this game. Stone's program is just not where it should be. CAK-34 Stone-14
  22. Alcoa has too many tools this year not to repeat another state title. After their big win last week, I just don't see them losing at all this year. Very well coached and a lot of talent will take you a long way. ALCOA-55 Loudon-7
  23. What part of 7 points are you calling impressive. I was at that game and it was so boring. Both teams didn't show me anything. If Harriman doesn't set the tempo early, they will get embarrassed real quick. I think Midway will prove to be the dominate team in the county this year. I'm going with Midway on this one. Midway-30 Harriman-24
  24. I have a feeling Wartburg is going to pull this one out! I hope i'm right! Go bulldogs!
