  1. Sorry guys, a little off the subject but an interesting article never the less. Link to update on Kase Whitehead http://www.dailymail.com/Sports/topsports/200808210173
  2. I agree about the Hammond kid, he was just awful in the east west game, he was 2 out of 4 extra points and punted 3 times for a 30 yard average. I do know he was the 2nd choice for the all star game, the Whitehead kid was the 1st but he opted to attend his all region 2 5-A banquet with his teamates instead. If the Hammond kid had any hopes of playing on Saturdays they were dashed away by his horrible performance in the all star game.
  3. Clearification; Not a shot at the kid, never seen him play, nor intend to, but best of luck to him wherever his travels may take him. The poke was at Sr., the guy who hates kickers. More clearification; I've been a parent for 30 years which has no bearing but answer me this question. Who was the kicker on the orange team when the guy who hates kickers played on the orange team(behind Streeter and Alatore) and where is he now? And as equally important does he know how bad Sr. hates kickers?
  4. Yea, good call etcoach, maybe the offspring can make a career of being a back up QB as well? And then after that he can become a second rate commentator on local radio shows.
  5. Could you please list the sizes of these men?
  6. Maybe on of the WB receivers will drop the baton in the 400m relay and the track guys will be able to make a diference by recovering. Or maybe to start every play the ref will fire the starter pistol, that should balance the scales.
  7. His theatrics almost made me vomit, without doubt he was on the dance team in high school. What about poor Porky with the the black hat, the dance team guy had to stop the game after every play to give him time to get up to the spot of the ball. Also I hear from an close inside source that one of the crew was a friend of DB's coach and he made that fact public and warned the WB staff of his intent before the game. I'd say a good coaching job by Clark in both games. That's bad stuff but here's the WOSRT, I spoke to one of the WB Cheerleaders last night and she said that she thinks one of the was hitting on her before the game. I rarely post here and in case anybody is wondering, I'm not a student, I'm a parent and I'm angry about the total mentality of the people whom the TSSAA entrust to fairly monitor the play of our young men! That group of officials does not need to be on any field.
  8. The McMinn punter needs to get in touch with Gerald Robinson. He's a dentist in Knoxville and is also a Ray Guy instructor in the summers. He works with the local kids every Thursday afternoon in the off season. Those kids being Kase Whitehead from WB, Mat Reagan from Memphis U, The O'Connor kids from Halls, Brandon Reagan from Bearden along with several others. His HS Coach should be able to help make the contact, he'll improve considerably.
  9. Not sure exactly how many attempts but year average before the McMinn game was 46.7 with probably 12 to 15 inside the 20.
  10. Now you have seen WB's punter, in retrospect would you still give the advantage to McMinn? The D1 schools don't keep knocking his door for no reason. The young McMinn punter in fact was impressive but the seperation between the two was evident, the WB kid launched several missels for 50+ yards keeping McMinn backed up all night, a big factor in the game. How old is the McMinn punter? If he has another year and gets stronger he'll be get there.
  11. The only thing that could have made it worse is if the Owl's All State tailback had gotten blown up by WB's punter, Oh wait that did happen, my bad, no couldn't have been worse after all.
  12. The blocked punt was a real set back in momentum for the Govs, Bradley was all fired up, last game for the seniors at home (ever) and as ugly as thier offence was it was effective with #1 like a pinball slowly bouncing from one Gov to another and kinda just falling ahead for 6 or 8 yards a shot. Maybe just as importantly it came right after the Walker fumble at the Gov 14 yard line stopping a drive that would have tied the game. Now after those two costastrophies Bradley really BELIEVES they can win the game and rightly so, they have the lead 13-0 and if not for the very questionable decisions made by the Bradley coaching staff in the final 2 minutes of the first half they may very well have won the game. And by the way what happened on the blocked punt, looked to me as if the Bradley defender came right up the middle untouched for the block?? That's really bad timing because I talked to the punters Dad and he said that one day during practice last week one of the second team kids crashed into Kase during punting drills and later that night they were at BMH getting X-rays of his kicking leg. He said the X-rays were negative but Kase had a terrible looking knot right above his ankle on the shin bone and that he was very sore, probably kicking at about 70%. And then last night after the blocked punt I noticed he was limping and saw him look up in the stands to someone, his Dad I guess motioning to his kicking leg and shaking his head. Hope he's ok, how important is that kid in the playoffs? Have you heard anything?
  13. Didn't see that game, seen him once this year though,a very good athelete but maybe a little small, what year is he??
  14. Seen the game, thier both very average on a good day.
