GOT R DID - WAY TO GO BIG OWLS!!!!! With that said I would like to say that was one heck of a ball game. That is the way I like to see them. hard hitting, hard playing, and great "D". The truth is that came from both teams. Only difference is SC got in the end zone and Ptown didn't. Now there is not any game that you could not complain about the refs, truth is they just don't have good ones any more any where. they made bad calls on both sides, ptown had opportunities to score and didn't, the refs had nothing to do with that. Truth is I was scared to death that the missed PA was going to haunt us in the end, and had the young man running full speed had caught that ball in the endzone the score would have been different. He did all he could laid out great, ball just off end of fingers, refs had nothing to do with that. People I guess what I am trying to say is don't shame a GREAT ballgame with hard feelings. yes, I am glad Smith county is region champs I feel they deserve it, just as P-Town did when they won it. All the kids on that field tonight played well, and hard. give them the credit. This is the last time all these teams will be together in the a region and I feel because of this region these teams are better than many others in the state, the coaching, the programs, and the fans have made this a great region to be apart of. If you can play in our region you can play with anybody. Now, go on Region 4 - 3A and sweep region 3 so we can get back to great football in week 2.

Ok Owls time to get your heads in the game. I agree with bigreid the O-Line needs to complete there assisgnments, make the blocks, and make the holes for the boys to run thru. The boys in the back need to hold on tightly to that pig skin and run like the wind, and the qb needs to hit all the targets, the balls need to be caught, defense needs to control their end of the game, make all their tackles, and force turnovers. In a nut shell the OWLS needs to show everyone they can step up and play the kind of ball we all know they are capable of. There is no time for excusses, just get the job done! GO OWLS!!

CONGRATULATIONS AL, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!! The whole team has done a great job, carring on the tradition with SCHS Softball. I am very proud of each one of you on the job you have done to keep this program a sound one and keep it growing. Let's finish what we have starting and go get the title.

First off I want to say WAY TO GO LADY OWLS on a good season. I know not all MVP's are pitchers, my daughter won this honor several years ago, and a pitcher she was not. But concerning this years team I too believe that Anne Leslie is the most deserving person for this award. Her contributions to this team are outstanding, and where would they be with out her. It has to start there and then the rest falls into place. We are a young team and in the next few years the MVP should come from Smith County, if they continue to improve as they have this year.

Sir, you are wrong the girls know what I mean. Audrey is the only senior and with her out there they play a little more controlled. They not only want it for themselves, but they want it for Audrey who has been an inspiration to them all season, with the never say die attitude. Yes Miss Monica Chumney is a pure god given athlete, and I love to watch her play. She knows that. But you can't take anything away from the other girls that are assisting this young lady, and who's to say that Sleeper, Harper, and Dawson haven't made their contributions to this team as well. I am fully expecting these young ladies to come with their A game tomorrow night, and play against a hard, tough, JC team. I am just hoping that MISS CHUMNEY plays above her competition this game, like she is well capable of doing. No slack girls, all or nothing. GO GET IT.

Like I have told each and everyone of you - I LOVE YOU!!!! Each of you are just like my own. I can't count the times you all have been at my house, eat all my food, and just plain had fun. You have been a joy to me, and I wouldn't trade a minute of it. Today I just wanted to let each of you know that I am PROUD of YOU. Not only for the season you have had, but for the way you have matured and become great young MEN. From last year to this year, you have become great leaders. There are many young boys who look up to you and want to be just like you (mine included), so remember no matter where you are, what you are doing, whether you think anybody sees you or not, somewhere there are younger guys looking and learning. I think from what I have read they are talking about AP hitting one of his own players. I don't believe unsportsmanship can be called for that. I don't know though. But I bet that Coach Dyer took care of it just fine. He is a classy man, along with the rest of his family. If we were out played how come Smith had 308 yards to Macons 231, execution was the difference. Not totally out played, Macon just executed on their chances we didn't.

Now hold on just a minute, I do believe every team in our region has the possiblity to get beat on any given night. YOU DID - WE DID!! I also remember some blue and white fans, did do a little shoulda, coulda, and woulda, about past games. Win or lose all the teams in this region are good. Everyone tries to figure what went wrong on that losing night. But as of two weeks ago, those records when out the window and everyone playing in playoffs went back to 0-0, now there are only two in our region left. Their records are 2-0, what will it be after friday night? Guess everyone will have to wait and see. Hope all the boys have a good game, play hard, and OWLS WIN!! I do have a question though - how come when someone from Macon wants to slam our team or any other, its only smack talking but if someone else says something against Macon it is no respect. Why aren't all those folks from Macon jumping on their own ppl for being rude and disrespectful of the other teams. Sounds a little one sided to me. Even if it is a kid doing the talking, my thought is if you can't take it don't dish it out. Kids need to know that too. Don't make statements that aren't true or are tacky if you don't want to hear about it. Oh, I think I just figured it out. Yeah, you let them post so that ppl will jump them then you can print it carry it to the locker room and use it for motivation. They are ready, remember the old creekbank saying "where you from C-town, what ya want tiger meat" I can't believe it is only Tuesday and I am sooooo ready for Friday Night. The boys are working hard, and getting ready for some hard hitting, physical football. Guess I will be there early to be sure to get a good seat up top. The parking situation is crazy. I know that you shouldn't park in front of someones driveway or in front of a fire hydrant, but come on folks, your stadium is in the middle of a neighborhood, and you have NO parking lots for vistors, or home side to really park in. Someone should call the paper, the mayor, the county executive or something and stop all that towing, especially during the playoffs when you know you will be expecting such a large crowd. But I bet I know what happens, I bet them extra nice folks from up on that ridge will let people park in their yards so everyone can see the game instead of riding around looking for some where to park, or having to park on square and walk all the way to the game. Can't you folks stop all that towing especially this friday night. Now, I understand if someone not real smart parks on the road, well, that's their own fault.
