Youre right its been like that 4 a while . U dont notice unless youre around them alot or like u did and sat beside at them at a game. And if we win it still probably wont change a thing . I think I was at the same b-ball game and we should have won by more we had a pretty bad night. The excusses will still be there even if we win next friday.

Thats the bad thing about Avery they think there suppossed to win every thing they do against us. Nothing against Avery I have close family that plays 4 them . Its just the way they believe . Most of them anyway.

It probably will be an awesome moment 4 Jordan H if they could win. I think the last time he played on that feild was 4 either Avery Middle or Crossnore when he in 6th or 7th grade . Dont get me wrong it will be bitter sweet 4 the whole team and whole coaching staff. But Jordan is playing against alot of his old teamates . We could see an awesome performance from him 4 that game. Not trying 2 cut anyone short 4 the Highlanders . I hope all of them has a great night. If we could get a victory against them that would be a very good start 4 our confidence and a momentum builder 4 the following weeks.

I talked to 2 of the Avery ballplayers this past weekend and they were tickled to death to get to play Cloudland this year . Ecspecially after watching them @ Watagua this past saturday. They said that Jordan run the whole time and that he couldnt pass at all . Aslo that we didnt hit as hard as them . They were fired up . I didnt get to go watch us play @ Watagua so I couldnt say much to argue the fact. The only thing that I said is I wouldnt count on us not hitting . I just let them talk their talk. And I hope we can walk the walk . 91Lander have u been going to the practices? If so how do wo look in practice ?

I agree that Cloudland will be laying some hard licks. Avery also has some kids that dont care 2 pop the pads. I think the game will b controlled by the line of scrimmage , and that makes me think that the Highlanders will come out on top. Not that we have that much better of a line but , I just think we can rush more than them. We have 2 b able to pressure Gennings (the quarterback) and stick 2 their receivers . All and all I think we can pull out the W . Like Pujo said should be a good gate. Im just curious 2 see where some the the people set . On the Avery side or Cloudland side. It probably wont take long 4 the visitors side 2 fill up. Just my opinion though.

Pujo was u able 2 go 2 watuaga yesterday? if so how did Avery and Cloudland look? I didnt even know we were going 2 play or I would have went.

you mean over the loud speaker or by the band . they didnt bring their band to a scrimmage did they . if so they must have thought they was going to do a lil better than what they did . or it could have been practice 4 the band also.

my guess is that Jordan Hughes may have played but didnt carry the ball much . Same way Robbie did @ South Greene . How about Avery did anyone see them play there?

where did u hear that from ? I dont really dont think u did. Thats ok you have had your laughs . We may not beat u this year or next but we b back. We got loads of talent coming up . lol. Cloudland has had the best 1a public school team 2 or 3 times and u guys might b this year . That dont always mean u get a gold ball. Win or lose cant wait to play each other.

Ive heard good things about the team from Cloudland fans and OK things from other people. Me myself I think we could surprise some people . There again, opinions dont win ballgames . If we can get the underclassmen 2 step up we maybe could go 6-4 ,7-3 hopefully . Will see in Avery on the first game . Cant wait 4 that one.

I hear ya man . When these kids 2-day get fussed @ 4 something they did in school or in athletics and they tell their parents . Most of the time the kids havent done anything wrong in their parents eyes its the coaches or the teachers fault , and that starts the disrespect of all authority of kids 2-day. 4 example I helped coach a little league team last year and the parents of this kid would always tell the kid that the refs were to blame no matter what ecspecially if we lost. The kid did get blocked in the back a few times but im sure he blocked in the back a lil also . But the parents would always tell the kid that the ref was stupid . That automatically gives the kid a bad impression on the refs, and when the kid gets hit in the back or what he thinks it is a penalty he gives up and looks @ his parents or @ the ref wondering why the call wasnt made while the play is still going on . I just tell the kid to keep on going , dont give up till the play is over. If we dont get the call, so be it we try harder the next play. This is a lil off subject , but it is almost as bad as the topic of this thread. Sometimes you would like 2 let the kids play 1 game without the parents telling you what you should do . I think u would have a different ballgame . I know us parents love to watch and pull 4 our kids , but let the coaches coach ecspecially when its over an allstar not getting the ball enough.

Cloudland is in rebuilding mode but I cant wait 4 the Avery/Cloudland and Hampton/Cloudland games . Like I said were still down a lil but cant wait . Ecspecially in Newland ,NC.

You probably wont see Cloudland @ the boro this year or next maybe not within 5 years but Ill bet ya we will be back . I dont understand what your saying about the Riverdale scrimmage . If it took us getting to the boro just to scrimmage them Ill guarentee ya those boys wouldnt back down . They wouldnt back down anyway . Nothing against Riverdale I respect those guys and the coaches that is an awesome program. Just saying we will be back and hopefully with a different outcome . Ill admit we a whooping in the game against Ezil . So would any Single A team that year. That team could have played in the 2a or 3a championship game. Were not going to come close to dominating this year like in the past, but we will improve. Thats a positive.
