Let me correct this comment above, if the district is down then sycamore will win it. They will be in the hunt regardless. even if every other team is good.

I dont even wanna know who wrote this. All i have to say is howard is not quite up to floridas level and it showed cause the "slower" team of the two man handled the "florid like" team.

Man i hate to say i told you so but i cant resist. Does speed win games now? All im going to say is that i was exactly right in my previous statements. Speed isnt that big of an issue. Coaching is the top priority. The way these teams prepare is what is gonna win games and it was obvious that sycamores coaching staff had this team much more prepared. Either that or Howards coach isn't worth his salt. Good luck next year!

Ok i have to say one more thing for my man smokey04, speed is a great thing to have but its not what wins games my man. I would like to say that anyone that knows how to buckle up some shoulder pads would know that. All i have heard from you is how speed is gonna take howard to the super bowl. Did it ever ring inside your head that sycamore has played a couple of games this season so they may know what speed is. I mean unless the kids at howard are running some 4.3 fourty times then the speed issue isnt going to be the deciding factor to this game. I guess you didnt play much ball since you think the howard speed is whats gonna carry yall to the state championship. Brother is takes alot more than speed. Coaching being the biggest thing, and from what i hear yall are a little below par in that department. Expect a good game and drop the speed issue.

This is the best post on here. Just cause sycamore is a four seed doesnt mean anything. the past two times sycamore has made the playoffs they have hammered a bunch of cocky number one seeds. Oh and whoever is saying book it and making his predictions, the only thing that anyone can book is seeing a good game. Howard is gonna be dirty and sycamore is gonna bust people in the mouth. Its all on who is up when the final second ticks. I would like to also give my opinion on the trading films issue. You can pretty much mark that up as BS. Sycamore isnt that unclassy. Thats just a story made up for the event that sycamore beats another one seed.

Poteete and the rest of the tigers defense arent anywhere near as athletic as Carrigan. Thats the dumbest thing i have ever read on here. A win by the tigers doesnt justify you statements either. Carrigan is the most athletic kid at sycamore and he is prolly top five best athletes the ever go to sycamore. Keep in mind Carrigan played the whole game and this whole season with injuries and he is still a factor that teams have to key on.

Well all i have heard about is Poteete and how he is God of Dekalb county. Just remember football is a team sport. One man isnt going to decide this game. Sycamore has played one man and even three man teams in the past and have proved sucessful. So you cant base your prediction off of the ability of one player. I know that athletically player for player sycamore stacks up better. Sycamore has several weapons, Dekalb has one. Its all in how Sycamore is prepared for this game. I know they are beaten up pretty bad right now so you cant expect thier best effort. I mean they are in the playoffs already. There is no point in getting more players hurt or not giving the injured guys time to rest when all this game has to offer is a better seed. It would be different if the seed determined a home or away play off game but it doesnt. I see sycamore playing thier best ball with who they have healthy. You can probably already expect to see alot of second string players getting some PT for sycamore.

I agree, but with Cory Carrigan being healthy for prolly the first time this season, and from the game he had last week he needs to get another twenty five touches. if that happens and Simms manages the game well then sycamore should win. If not then it will be close. You can never under estimate Greenbriar. Maybe a game like the 06 season, that would be great.

By 20? Thats just not smart. Neither team is that much better than the other plus it a rival. Its not gonna be a blow out by no means. You can probably plan on neither team even scoring twents points, but like I said previously, look for the threepeat!! GO WAR EAGLES!!!

no kemp, no chism....bolivar not as good as they used to be. still tough to contain their penetration and reeves is a good player but they are def a beatable team.

when you shoot the ball everytime you touch it and you are half way decent you are going to score points. why would you say west should have won it? if i remember he had a pretty good post player to play with, grant it he didnt have much else but they didnt do anything in the tourney. the most valuable player is the best player in the league. in the past in this district the best players have won the award and i even remember a year when it was split. these coaches know who the best player is and that player will win the award. i like kevins game but i would have to go with pierre in this race but both are great players. in the end the award that matters the most is that district championship plaque.

yea tyler will be playing for sycamore this year. speaking of which sycamore should be dominant. the only whole to fill is the catcher position. they have a bunch of kids that can play it but none of which are true catchers. im anxious to see how this year ends.

i agree that 11aa is down this year but im not sure that the other district is all that great either. with liberty gone that leaves bolivar as the only team with any kind of experience. it wont be easy but i could see sycamore or harpeth making it to the region championship. just my opinion though.

sycamore all i have to say is think back to exactly a year ago to the class of 07. Think of the situation, think of how they handled it. this is when true men step up. especially seniors. your careers are on the line. you have nothing else after this. just think of 07 and what they did. this time last year was when those men held each other accountable and made friends for life. they relyed on one another and came together as a team. they became strong and everyone could see it. seniors take charge and play every second of every quarter as if it was your last ever. be leaders, be men, be remembered. its do or die time baby. everyone knows you can do it. now you just have to know inside yourself.

i couldnt agree more. sycamore is coming off of a terrible loss to station camp and there couldnt be a better game to bounce back with.

im going to disagree. its going to be sycamore by 7. sycamore has reloaded from last year. the offense has put up atleast 24 in thier first two games and have only given up one touchdown. Cory Carrigan already has four touchdowns on the ground. the sycamore defense is anchored by some of the toughest seniors there is. Chris Johnson, Brad Tucker, and Nick Hymer along with some hard hitting juniors in Tyler Cherry, Jeremy Marlowe, and EJ sims. Its going to be tough to move the ball on them..
