  1. By your last cheap shot, you apparently can't let it go. Try some professional help. Maybe you can find peace there. The farthest fall a man can take is from the pedestal he sets himself upon. Nuff said
  2. Frankly, it's getting pretty boring. Loosierdad feels like he's found a flaw in WV that somehow makes himself better and WV can't let go of the challenge. Ho-Hum.
  3. Do your parents know you're playing on their computer?
  4. Wait. What's that I see. It is. It's a halo of self righteousness. That's a fairly inane angle you've taken there. So it's all about winning, huh? Would you run a basketball game without a clock? What if we do away with the scoreboard at football games so we can channel that money into non-material things that help us win. Huh? Have you had a cat scan lately
  5. My rear end does feel like I'm still sitting there
  6. Back the money truck up a minute. I'm sitting in the wrestling facility, looking at all the sponsors on the wall, looking at the mats that aren't anything special, sitting on circa 1960 bleachers. They haven't spent their money on anything else.
  7. Indeed they did. They finished 4-1 on the day and wrestled fairly decently. They missed a couple of opportunities for pins and fielded a team with some young talented wrestlers. Congrats to Parkview. I do wonder why a school like that wouldn't spring for some scoreboards and clocks. They have a new multi-million dollar facility out front but they couldn't find the $$ for some portable clocks.
  8. Hmm. My 13 yr old daughter told me the same thing.
  9. Who will benefit more from the rain that's forecast for Friday?
  10. I'm an old fart and still shoot with film. Fuji 1600 speed. I use an old Minolta XGM with a 70-210/f2.8 at 1/250. It's quick enough to cut down motion blurs but wide enough to use the light in most stadiums, except Brentwood Academy. Some of the pics are dark but it adds to the effect. I go to 1/125 for huddle shots, etc.I never use a flash for the reason you mention. Plus, a flash tended to get just the action within the flash range. (Imagine that.) Some of the coolest shots have a lot of activity away from the main focus. You will have what some folks think is an an undesired effect on the shots that I believe is called vignetting. The outside edges are darkened due to the aperture (spelling?) being wide open. To me, it seems to give the shots a 3D look.
  11. I don't guess there are any real guidelines other than common courtesy. Look it up.
  12. How much of an impact did the new area schools have on the program
  13. MBA lost too many key folks early on to make a run. It does seem odd not to see them in the bracket.
  14. The team has matured and the young guys on the line deserve some kudos as do the steady seniors. Their leadership has been like it should be and generally, the younger guys have responded in a positive way. As I've said a couple of times before, Baylor has regained the sense of team that had been missing for a while. Coach Massey has done a very fine job, both with strategy and motivation. Friday night ought to be interesting. Don't forget. MUS came across the state last year and won. Baylor 28 MUS 17
  15. Titans21. You misread what I said. I absolutely have no ax to grind with Coach Price. Someone asked what happened. You came on a little too strong with that BS comment. Last time I checked, I do have a life. As strongly as you're protesting, you must have been on the field, right?
  16. Granted I was not right at the scene. But I did hear him from where I was but I'm not arguing. And my comment was that they bumped. I don't know who initiated it or what the context was. It was more than likely incidental. He runs hot but I think there's more control than that. Whatever it was and/or whatever he said, it cost him 15 and his team a touchdown.
  17. There was an intentional grounding called while the Coffee Cty qb was in the end zone, resulting in the safety. The CC coach didn't care for the call, argued strongly and they bumped. I'm not sure, from where I sat, when the flag came out or the circumstance of the contact. It did happen, maybe incidently and the flag may have already been on the field.
  18. It's all about the line play and Baylor was able to get the push and a seal block when they needed it on the offensive side. On the defensive side, with the exception of an excellent opening drive by Coffee County, the Baylor line was able to contain for the most part. Coffee looked good. The coach and his unsportsmanlike 15 yarder sure didn't help his team and led directly to a Baylor score after the safety early on. Congratulations to the homecoming court and to the winner. That was a very well done, classy halftime show.
  19. He is a hoss. But I think you have to look at the rest of the team as well. The offensive line is very young and has matured each week. The defensive line has a little more age on them but the nose guard is very young with some potential. Some folks are back from injuries and the sense of team is returning to Baylor. It will be a tough game for both sides.
  20. Congratulations to both teams on a very physical grueling game. Both teams had a lot of breaks on both sides of the ball. Coop had a strong game. Massey looked sharp in the first q. Both lines looked like death warmed over by the end of the game. The Father Ryan qb had some strong scrambles as well as some nice tosses. Fortunately, Baylor was able to hold on and take a brutal 24-20 win.
  21. My my my. Now are you sure we were at the same Oklahomas? The one where your biggest guys hammered our 9th graders? But got a great look at the sky when they went against our 1st string? And as for coaches cussing, you're very confused. You know, bluenation, you would carry more credibility if you told the truth and didn't feel compelled to make the 'roid brothers out to be something they're not. And, if you would learn to spell, folks might take you a little more seriously. By the way, I have seen the tape. I have still photos. I was standing on the front line. ET. Call home.
  22. The Twins haven't really impressed me. I saw them both get handled by Baylor's D-line in a pre-season scrimmage. Senior McLain Still (6-2, 230) and junior Jordan Wright (6-3, 240) blew them off the ball. The Twins weren't dominating much at all. Still and Wright were much quicker, and knocked the big boys off the line. Still took #51 in an Oklahoma drill as well, I believe. Correct me if I saw wrong, but it didn't look good for the Taylor boy.
  23. Do you think that six years of accepting an average effort is going to be squashed in less than a year. Evrything about the football program at Baylor (with the exception of a coach or two that are never happy and are quick to poor mouth their own school) is better. I'm glad the board made the decision and gave some spirit back to the team.
