Stew4931
Warren Co. travels to Ooltewah tonight. I've heard that Ooltewah is a good team. What are your predictions on the out come?
splash9
Warren County is much better than Sweetwater and Sweetwater beat the Owls. Warren County should win this one.
SDdefender18
Warren County has really improved. All in all they have a pretty good team. Their mexican forwards and midfielders contribute a lot.

I'm not "hatin" ooltewah is a good team, but i wasnt very impressed Edited March 29, 2005 by volsbigd712
Whitey
Hats off to Ooltewah on the win. They did what they needed to do in such terrible conditions and on a very, very narrow field. When you take away both sides which were unplayable, the field was probably reduced to 45 yards wide. They definitely did not dominate. Five shots on goal to Warren County's eight and 3 corner kicks to Warren County's 7. They packed it in on defense and waited for a counter. We kept trying to play the ball over them (which was stupid after a while) and their defense was bigger and more dominating in the air. We were never able to utilize any width and get the wings involved in getting the ball behind the defense and the way they packed it in up the middle made that play hard especially when they were as physical as they were. Their keeper made a spectacular save 5 minutes into the game that kept us off the score board and he made other saves that kept them ahead. Their first shot in the second half did not occur until 23 minutes in the second half and it was the PK. Our defense made 3 mistakes and they took advantage of it. It was a great game for us to learn on and to see a different style of play. Give us a wider field and a dry field and it is probably a different story. Congratulations on the win. Hope we get to see you guys again. You have a good team opinions to the contrary.

Why would you say if the field was wider and dryer it would be a different story..Someone else won...go play baseball
volsbigd712
I agree with Whitey, it seemed as if Warren Co. style of play required just about the exact opposite field conditions as they had today. It's not an excuse, it's a fact. I am not saying they would of won on a better field, but it would of been a much closer game.
Whitey
You go play baseball -- oh, and learn how to read for context while you are at it. Just cool it. I did not make excuses. Ooltewah played the game the way it needed to be played under those conditions. They did a lot better job of adjusting to the game and taking what was there than we did. Therefore, they won and we lost. It is just that simple. I was not making excuses, just describing the conditions and what happened. If you can't understand that, well, ... reaction
field conditions is the worst excuse for a game if u ask me..both teams have to adjust..i mean how many teams out there want to play on a bad field?
