I've seen Ravenwood play recently, and if their hitting has improved, you could of fooled me.

 

If you count the score by the number of hits.....it will be 7-2....if you go by runs scored, it will be 3-0 Centennial.

In a good game, Centennial beat Ravenwood 2-1. Centennial hit the ball well but couldn't get a run across until the 6th inning when Adair Hewitt singled to score Rachel Fowler and put the Cougars up 1-0. The Cougars Thomas had a perfect game thur 6 1/3 until she gave up a 1 out walk. After getting out #2 with a K, the Ravens stole 2nd base and then got their only hit of the game on a single to CF. The throw home beat the runner but the ball was dropped by the Cougar catcher allowing the tying run to score. Centennial won the game in the 8th when Thomas' single scored Carolyn Davis with the winning run with nobody out. Thomas pitched the 8 innings for the Cougars, striking out 19 Ravenwood batters while allowing the 1 walk and 1 hit. Congrats to the Cougars on the win. The Ravenwood pitching and defense was good but the lack of hitting once again proved to be too much to overcome. Centennial outhit Ravenwood 8-1. Good luck to both teams in the District.

Sounds like it was a very well played game. I thought it would have been rained out too! Was the field not bad?

While it had plenty of rain, the field was in excellent condition.
