Getright, Lake County did not lose there QB as a matter of fact he was only a Sophomore so the region will see him for 2 more years. They have 21 starters out of 22 positions returning plus a LB that started every game as a So. but missed all but one game of the 2004 with a broken arm. The down side is that Lake Co. does not have alot of depth and injuries could play a factor. Plus the region will be tuff to win and you will probably face Union City and McKenzie again in the playoffs. They will be competitive this year though and who knows how it will turn out? It should be a fun year.

Oneida should be on everybody's list or at least honorable mention. They have made it to the playoffs I think 19 out of the last 22 years. Last year they beat both Harriman and Cloudland convincingly. Everyone forgot about Midway since they lost to Coalfield, but they are going to be good next year. Coalfield loses they two everything players in Hensley and Gilbert, and the future QB tore his ACL in the spring. But they don't rebuild, they reload, as do the rest of the Region 2 teams. Greenback is always tough, usually the strongest team on the field. I don't think Temple should be considered. Did they make the playoffs last year? What was their record? I think most people are going by hype on here instead of tradition. Trousdale is the favorite most definately, but I haven't even heard of Hampton til this year, and they claim they will dominate, I guess we'll see. This is pretty wide open if Trousdale gets knocked early in the playoffs. should be a fun year to watch.

That is possible. But why would he transfer back? I cant think of any reason. I know he can play/start TB at North Jackson. I just dont see him transferring to one school one year and the next year moving back.

We didnt play a region schedule last year therefore we couldnt go to playoffs. Our record was 8-2, we didnt play alot of good teams, but a couple. From what youve said, I dont think you know exactly what your talking about. So dont say "I dont think Temple should be considered", because we are every bit as some of the teams listed on the top 10 lists. And we'll see next year when it counts.

Well I've been around 1-A football long enough to know what I'm talking about. I still don't think they should be considered. I've heard Skogens is good, but that's all I've heard about them that I believe. But hey, prove me wrong, go undefeated, win state, and I'll eat some crow.

Oneida is only a shadow of what they used to be. Cloudland, Hampton, and Oneida should not even be considered top ten material. Trousdale Co. is the team to beat. I remember when Cloudland lost to Trousdale a slim 14-12. The atmosphere was great down there. As for Hampton, they are not even going to win the conference, and they will be an early first round exit.

I'm not a Patriot football fan. (It's for my patriotism and support for America)

 

My teams vary across the state for very obvious reasons

 

Melrose (I said they would hold Maryville to 10 pts and Maryville didn't even score that...A bold statement if you ask me)

 

Alcoa (fascinatieng team and they will hand Maryville their first loss in a while)

 

Knox Central ( will hand Maryville their second loss of the year)

 

Hampton may be as good as Cloudland but still that's Cloudland! Cloudland ran up up the score on less fortunate teams in the past.
