Shelbyville took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st. Bobo and Frazier walked and Stewart had a rbi single. LC tied it in the 2nd when Matt Hartsfield scored with 2 outs on a double steal. Shelby made it 2-1 in the bottom of the 2nd. Smith led off with a single, reached 2nd on a passed ball and scored on Norman's rbi single. LC tied it in the 3rd. Charlie Springer reached on an E5, followed by singles by Jase Duke and Holden Killen (rbi), scoring Springer. Shelby took a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the 3rd. Allen hit a solo HR to left. Haskins singled , reached 2nd on a groundout, and scored on Jacob Daniel's 2 out, 2 strike hit to center. LC took the lead for good in the 4th. Purcell led off the inning with a line drive homer to left center to make it 4-3. Augustin walked, Phillip Gowen got a solid single, Springer reached on a FC, Wesley Wright had a rbi single, Duke had a rbi single, Killen had a rbi single to make it 6-4. Augustin worked out of a small jam with 2 outs and 2 on in the 4th, coaxing a groundout to short to end the inning. Woods who relieved Harris in the 3rd, issued 2walks with 1 out, and Augustin and Gowen reached 2nd and 3rd on a wild pitch. Wesley Wright got a 2rbi single to right to make it 8-4. Haskins led off the 5th for Shelby with a single to left chasing Augustin who was relieved by Ben Lowery who got out of the inning without a score. LC made it 9-4 in the 6th. Hartsfield reached on hard hit (single/E5) with 2 outs, and after 2 walks scored on a wild pitch. Shelby picked up 2 in the bottom of the 6th. Riddle led off with a walk. Frazier and Stewart both flew out to right for 2 outs. Tony Allen reached on a hard hit (single/E5). Haskins doubled just out of the reach of Killen's diving attempt in LF. Chris Smith then had a hard hit (single/E5) for an rbi to make it 9-6. Miku relieved for Shelbyville and LC got singles from Lowery, Wright, Killen(rbi) and a double from Steven Shults(rbi). Lowery retired the side in the bottom of the 7th to record the save. Lawrence Co is 6-3 in 8AAA, after starting 0-3, and is 13-6 overall. Shelbyville is 3-4 in 8AAA.
