Station Camp wins another one! 7-2.

Scout from Austin Peay was there. Didn't see that anyone on either team did anything outstanding. SC pitcher #10 did a good job and #30 for Springfield got a hit each time at bat. He was making notes and talked to SC's coach for a few after game.

SC plays at Greenbrier tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully they will take another one.

First, the score was 7-1 not 7-2.

Next, Station Camps defense was great. I think it was their first game all year without an error. Station Camp also continued to hit the ball well. They have averaged over 10 runs per game on their 4 game winning streak.

The Austin Peay scout was there to look at the catcher from Springfield i think, but im not positive about that. Koskie from Springfield hit the ball very well all game.

Station Camp is on a four game winning streak with three of them being district wins. They are playing the best baseball they have played all season. Their pitchers have been throwing well, their defense has been solid, and they are finally hitting the ball. Hopefully they can continue their winning streak tomorrow against a tough Greenbrier team.

    • I think Alcoa and Westview are favorites in top bracket and Huntingdon and Meigs in bottom bracket.  Westview and Huntingdon both have great pitching.  I think Huntingdon has more offense than Westview.
    • Starting to pick up for Sam. He has 4 or 5 offers now and more on the way. By mid season the Warriors should have 5 or 6 kids with offers.
    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
